Do you know how to accomplish this? On my site I'm trying to have a messageboard within a CSS Div. While the phpBB/database is on a remote server, I think it would be easier to have it appear within the main div. Is there a way to do this? If not, I'm just going to make the messageboard appear in a new window. Thanks... Can someone please help me? I am trying to get my left side column to meet my footer image... just like on this website: newcastlegateshead.com See how they side bar goes all the way down and meets the footer? Mine has a one inch gap between the bottom of the column and the footer. Does anyone know what they did to make it meet perfectly?Or the proper css code & where to put it? I've been trying to get this solved for dayyyssss Thank you so much... Trying to delete my post but no option to delete so just removing content. Hey all, See on http://yourfishguide.com/Main_Page the grass at the bottom is 'siting' on the bottom of the page? Then on http://yourfishguide.com/Your_Fish_Guide:About it's a little above the bottom of the page. How can I make the grass "stick" to the bottom of the page, regardless of the length of the content above it? Thanks, Jordan Hi all. Question is in the title really. I have made a
a link e.g. the whole
rather than just the text within it. It works fine in FF, but only the first
in the table works in IE. I have seen a hack/fix for this somewhere, but I cannot find it - google is good, but I can never re-find anything! At the moment I have this CSS Code: Original - CSS Code .tdmenu td a{ border: 1px solid #000000; display: block; } .tdmenu td a:hover{ border: 1px solid #000000; background-color: #FFFFFF; display: block; } .tdmenu td a{ And here is a sample of my HTML HTML Code: Original - HTML Code <table width="120px" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2"class="tdmenu" >

Exec

Updates

<table width="120px" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2"class="tdmenu" >

Exec

Updates

Thanks for your time and any help J Noble Hello All, I am trying to add a background image to the footer that repeats accros the entire page and is 300px height. The code I have generates a color but it is limited to 960px. I tried adding a background URL to image but no success. Any suggestions. Thank you. #footWrapper{ background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000000; display: inline; float: left; width: 100%; } http://johnmifsud.byethost22.com/John_Mifsud_files/index.php I've been creating this site using percentages for the relevant sections of the page. However, in the footer the 'site map' image in falling out the bottom of the footer if the screen is shrunk, (both in IE and Firefox). Why??? What's wrong with the CSS? (sitemap and imgsitemap are both within the footer)And suggetions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Miffy! #footer { position: relative; top: 0px; left: 0px; height: 2%; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; background-color: black; background-image: url('bottom menu files/bottommenu.gif'); width: 85%; border-style: none; border-width: 0px; } .sitemap { position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; border-style: none; border-width: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; height: 100%; } .imgsitemap { border-style: none; border-width: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; height: 100%; } I am trying to allow a right aligned image break out of my footer. So far it's just breaking out, but under rather than over. I.e: Code: #footer { clear:both; width:100%; /* green bg footer image */ background-image: url(../img/footer_bg.gif); background-repeat: repeat-x; } Code: What I'm trying to achieve is to have the green footer at the bottom of the page and the pizza to appear in at the bottom also, but peeping over the green footer. Do you know how I can achieve this? Thanks in advance for any help Hello, I am trying to change the layout of my journal which is based on CSS. The codes doesn't come from me. I found it two years ago on a free layout website where all layouts are allowed to be changed if there are credits given for the original style sheed. I am afraid my problem is pretty simple. I don't know very much about programming and CSS, just very few. So please snap at me immediately if I don't understand fast enough or don't give you exactly the answers you need. Anyways I will give my best! My problem: I want to change the footer and something what is supposed to be called the header. I would say: Let's concentrate on the footer at first. I want to change both from their background color to an image. The text still have to be able to be read. I have read something about putting the footer in the body but there is my normal background of the whole journal and I think it would make problems this way. Well I don't know if the codes are messy. I changed a few colors and positions but even that not fully until now. I hope you can get a clue what is my problem! And thank you so far! Here are the codes from my footer: Quote: #footer { text-align: center; font: 7pt arial, sans-serif; background: #fff url(here would stand the image url but as newbie I am not allowed to post urls, you know the rules) repeat; color: #BBBBBB; z-index: 100; clear: both; border: 0px; padding: 10px; } I have my links defined with a dashed border, but I don't want this on linked images and I'm trying to figure out if I can accomplish this with CSS only without additional markup in my HTML file. Here is a sample file: http://www. shawkey.com/test/imagebordertest.html Any suggestions on how I can get the dashed border to not appear below the image and only appear below the text with just CSS? I've exhausted my own knowledge toolbox and cannot get this to work. I'm trying to get a div to expand to the end of the parent div. http://www.pictouunited.com/?s=null You'll see what I mean. I've done all the logical troubleshooting, or so I thought. I appreciate any help in advance! Here's the html and css for http://www.pxgo.com/lifepak-prime.php - What I really need help with is aligning the footer (I know absolute positioning is bad for me, but relative doesn't work either) and floating my image (which for some reason vanished once I added the floatleft class). I would like it to look something like this. I'm using this code for the background image, for the Header: body { background-image: url(stars.gif); background-repeat: repeat-x } And I'm wondering whether I can include another background image in the "body" code, telling it to repeat horizontally, but at the bottom of the page? Here is the code that I'm assuming would have to be used: { background-image: url(stars.gif); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-position: bottom; } Can someone suggest to me where this code should go? Could I include it in the "body" css code? Or should I put it below all of the rest of the columns/content code? Thanks. I want to display text, image, videolinks in the header and footer images in my html with css. While header and footer images are displayed in the html , the intended text, image, videolinks are not displayed within the image block of header, footer. Will you please advise me the correct code in css, html to embed the text, image, videolinks inside the header and footer images. thanks I am trying to get the background image for #feature-stripe to be fluid. I want it to expand and contract equally with the images just above and below it. The other images are in the #banner & #main-center. I can't seem to get the #feature-stripe to do the same. Also, I am using the #main-left as a placeholder for position. I tried to eliminate it, but things to line back up like I think they should. Side note: I am using XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD. Any help or if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. This is what I would like to accomplish (though, vertical scrolling..) http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=037%2F037%2Ecss Must look at it with mozilla, btw.. doesn't work in IE. I can't figure out how the hell that person did that. Here is what I have so far... Forgive all the extra tags I don't need. I've been trying everything I can think of... h1{ position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; z-index: 99; background-image: url(top.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; background-color: transparent; height: 358px; width: 800px; visibility: visible; background-position: top left;} h2{ position: fixed; top: 0px; background-image: url(sidestar.png); background-repeat: repeat-y; background-attachment: scroll; height: 6000px; width: 40px; z-index:1;} H1 is the code for the image I want to be on top, H2 is the "body" I want to disappear behind the image. When that is loaded, the image stays fixed in location, but the body scrolls on top of it, eating the image from the bottom. Any ideas what is wrong? If you have firefox, you can check out what is happening he http://www.fatboyraceworks.com/webnik/ Hi. Really hoping someone can help me with this... I'll try and explain this as best I can(!) Basically I've got a page containing a block of 9 images, with each linking to a video clip. At the moment I've got the CSS coded so that whenever the mouse is hovered over the 'infobar' (at the bottom of each image) it goes from having a transparent background with black text to having a grey background with white text. What I'm trying to achieve is that same effect whenever the mouse is hovered over any part of the image and infobar. The live online link can be found at: www.markmcm.co.uk/test/test.html The CSS is as as follows: Code: /* * Page Stylesheet */ body { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background-color: #eaeaea; border:0; margin:0; padding:0; height: 100%; } a:link { text-decoration: none; } a:visited { text-decoration: none; } a:hover { text-decoration: none; } a:active { text-decoration: none; } #container { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; min-height: 100%; width: 936px; } * html #container { height: 100%; } #content { float:left; position: relative; height: 528px; width: 936px; z-index: 0; } .miniscreen1, .miniscreen2, .miniscreen3, .miniscreen4, .miniscreen5, .miniscreen6, .miniscreen7, .miniscreen8, .miniscreen9 { position: absolute; float: left; display: block; width: 312px; height: 176px; } .miniscreen1 { top: 0; left: 0; } .miniscreen2 { top:0; left: 312px; } .miniscreen3 { top: 0; left: 624px; } .miniscreen4 { left: 0; top:176px; } .miniscreen5 { left: 312px; top:176px; } .miniscreen6 { left: 624px; top:176px; } .miniscreen7 { left: 0; top:352px; } .miniscreen8 { left: 312px; top:352px; } .miniscreen9 { left: 624px; top:352px; } .info { height: 30px; top:3px; left: 40px; width: 265px; float: left; position: absolute; } .infobar { left:0px; position: absolute; top: 140px; width: 312px; height: 36px; outline: none; color:#000; background: url("data/infobar.png") no-repeat 0 0; z-index: 650; } .infobar:hover { background-position: 0 -36px; outline: none; color:#fff; } #infobar span { display: none; outline: none; } .clip_title { outline: none; font-size: 85%; font-weight: 700; vertical-align: top; text-align: left; } .clip_sub { outline: none; height: 13px; font-size: 80%; line-height: 13px; font-weight: 700; vertical-align: top; text-align: left; } And the HTML is: Code:

Test Page

    Test Clip 1
123 Productions Test Clip 2
123 Productions Test Clip 3
123 Productions Test Clip 4
123 Productions Test Clip 5
123 Productions Test Clip 6
123 Productions Test Clip 7
123 Productions Test Clip 8
123 Productions Test Clip 9
123 Productions

There must be a better (and easier?) way to do this. Any help would be very-much appreciated - and save an old bloke from tearing too much of his hair out(!) I'm having trouble with my website structure... view this page for an example... css is here... The Footer (which currently consists just of the validation images) is suppossed to be at the bottom of the page... It works in IE except there is a little line between the images (it is also part of the link...), and it doesn't work at all in FF... how do I get rid of the line in IE, and what do I need to add or change in my css to get it to be viewed properly in FF?
