i have a table script from a website and want to use it for my own the script is not working good and i want to know if soemone can help me out here with this script
what do i hva to do to make this work with all the function of the filter and the other function

Font Size Problem In Opera - Fonts Are Huge For No Reason! Halp!

Hi guys,

I'm working on a layout for a client, and I've run into a problem I've never seen before. My code is fully valid CSS (except for the *html IE fixes) and fully valid transitional XHTML, and it works fine in FF, IE and even Safari - but as soon as I load it up in Opera, it breaks completely. The font size is absolutely HUGE for some reason (like 400% of normal!), and it is completely breaking my layout.

I have no idea why this would be happening, and it's immensely annoying. I'm setting all of the font sizes throughout the page in ems, and at the start of the css I declare the following:

Now this should be fine, and indeed it works in every other browser.. but Opera is wigging the hell out, and I don't know what's wrong. Has anybody ever experienced anything like this? If so, please let me know!

I'm hesitant to post the full code because it's covered by a hefty NDA, but I can strip out confidential bits if needed.

I have a textarea in a <td>which asks for users for some description.

If users enter text and don't use any space or enter, the
width of the table gets bigger and bigger and damages the pages

iam having a column which holds data around some 100 to 200 characters...
by default i want to display some 50 characters and rest of the characters can be viewed by moving the column...

3. One more problem iam facing is with the number of columns displayed in the table.

I have to display around 15 to 20 columns in a table...
with this 15 to 20 columns in a table, i can see scrollbar to the page ....but i dont want scrollbar to the page, instead i want want scroll bar to the table (so that it doesnot effect the design of the page)

I need a fixed table width and height and also fixed column width and height.....
Note: I dont mind if columns are not visible (thru scrool bar i should see the hide columns)

Alright, this is probably a simple fix but I can not find the solution anywhere. I'm trying to highlight a table cell with a 2px solid red border when it is clicked.

Is there a way to get this to happen with out changing the size of the cell?

I hope this makes sense. Basically the cell is expanding by 1 px causing movement in the table.

I'm trying to get a table inside another table which completely fills the parent table, but I cannot get it to work. The simple piece of code illustrates my problem. The red table is inside the blue table but does not cover the entire cell from top to bottom, but only the centre. I want this table to be streched. Obviously height: 100% doesn't work.

Not exactly sure where to post this question... but:
I'm having a bit of trouble keeping a table at a fixed height. What I have is a Small 200x80px table above my an input form. As users type data into the input form, javascript code dynamically updates the contents of the table. I have the table width properly fixed, and the input fields have character limitations... however if a user inputs a lot of capital letters or other wide characters, the table automatically increases in height when the text wraps. It's pretty much necessary that the text wraps for the middle lines of the table, and on the other two lines I have used the javascript to remove wrapping, but I never want the table to grow longer than 80px no matter how much is typed in the fields. Is there a way that I can constrain the table height?

CSS whizz needed! I'm currently formatting a pre-determined HTML website using CSS. The website has been formatted with ID's for all tables and cells so I can specify which colour I'd like the background of the cells. The HTML is like this:

Can Css Set Custom Borders For A Table? (<table>)

Hi all, what i want is to customise the borders of a table...
i know that <div>'s can have custom borders but, for the way that the page works i used table tags <table>. (very little experience of using <div>)

is there a way that css can manipulate the borders of a table?
i tried using this css:

Div In A Table Shows Body Background Not Table Background

I have a table with a specified background color (specified in CSS). The content part of the table (a cell) uses information from a downloaded script (wordpress.com) to load information.

I want the table background to shine through everything. How can I accomplish this (I suspect it is in the script CSS, but I don't know what).

The 'home' page is how I want it (basically that background effect). But the other pages come out funny with no background.

Could someone solve this, or alternatively reccommend another way.

Css 'mostly' Not Working In Cgi Script

Hi folks,
i have a page i've designed which uses extensive css and which must now be integrated into a perl/cgi web app. i've used 'print header;' and 'print start_html();' with title and style arguments to link to the stylesheet and then used here-doc to print out the rest of the html. in one place i can see a group of radio buttons that are indented according to a stylesheet rule so obviously the stylesheet is being found and yet all other rules for positioning, etc. are ignored. 'view source' shows the link to the style sheet and everything else and yet it won't display properly. it doesn't make a difference if the stylesheet is in cgi-bin or htdocs with a relative path. i've looked at several web pages about how to accomplish this task which all seem to agree with the way that i've coded it. server config maybe(apache2)? here's the code:

Basic Css Help In A Cgi Script

Hi guys, just dropping a line because I am having the darndest time trying to get this page:

to look the way I want it to with the CSS the script developer included.

I have never personally used CSS myself, so I'm at a bit of a loss, but I have gone into the CSS file, changed what I though to be correct, but can never get the right results. I would like the categories in the middle of the page to be larger without changing the size of the rest of the links on the page. However, when I change "CatHeaderText" size it has no effect. If I change body text size it has no effect. The only thing that works when I change the font size is the a:link thing from xx-small but then that changes every link on the page and not just the category links in the middle.

Can anyone offer any ideas of how I can make this work?

Need Help With Layout Of An Image Gallery Script

Need some help again!

I downloaded SPGM to use as a photo gallery. Love it. It's even valid XHTML 1.0 Strict!

Ok, I've implemented it here . Instead of using the native CSS file that came with the script, I copied it all into my own CSS file. Well, not ALL of it, but most. That CSS file is here . Towards the bottom, you'll see the SPGM CSS section.

Now I've already started adapting the script and layout to my site, but as you can imagine, it's not too easy, especially for an only moderately-knowledgeable CSS user like me.

First thing I want to do it...

1. I want to move the entire table (the main table containing the 4 folder icons and text) over to the left so the left side of the table lines up only a pixel or two right of the line between the green and tan on the left. I can shift the whole table by adding margin-left: -something px; to TABLE.table-wrapper, but the folder icons actually disappear as if they go behind something! HUH?

I think moving this to the left more will solve the problem in IE of the right nav links getting pushed down... Could be wrong, but it's ok in FF.

If someone could start me off with this I'd very much appreciate it.
