CSS - Menubar Stops Working When Page Is Refreshed
hi there, i'm using code from
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/jquery_multi_level_css_menu_2/P10/ for my menubar, the problem is when i refresh the page the menubar is on it stops working. help please! Similar Tutorialshey all, i have a strange problem... When the page opens the footer appears on top of the page content but if i refresh the page it goes to the bottom as expected?? really wierd can someone please help me with this? here is the page lin to see what i mean page with the problem and here is a link to me css css page Any ideas would be great. I am using firefox Thanks RF I am sure there is an obvious explanation but why does using display:inline in this class definition stop the height/width working? Remove it and the dimensions are preserved. PHP Code: DIV.special_offer_middle { width: 100px; height: 20px; display: inline; border: 1px dashed white; } Real odd one here. Take a look at http://www.moxiegirlz.com/?section=moxiegirlz Note that you can click on one of the characters at the bottom to see their info. But when you do so, the characters no longer get the "hand" pointer icon (in FF and Safari, haven't tested IE). I've tried applying cursor:pointer directly to the a tags, though one shouldn't need to, and still nada. Somehow, calling a jscript in the href is killing the hand pointer. Anyone know why? Hi all, I'm quite new to CSS. I tried to design a top-navigation using yui 2.6 menu from markup. Things work fine. But I wanted to create a sperator to group the menubar items. So I added a new class in css like .yui-skin-sam .yuimenuitem-seperator{ _border-bottom:solid 1px #fff; background-color:#ddd; height:1px; } This works fine with Firefox not in IE...( IE as usual.... ) Anyone please suggest me the right way to use seperators in menubar items using YUI.. Best regards, Markish This is my first post so hello everybody! I am trying to implement this menu and my problem arises in trying to change the submenu font color (as well as the hover color) at levels 2 and 3 of the menu. I figured this would be as straightforward as just changing the color values in the CSS, but it doesn't seem to be responsive. Interestingly, it works for the first level. It's been driving me insane. I can change the submenu background color, but not the font color even though there looks to be code for it. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated! You can test out the menu itself from the site or take a gander at a portion of the code I'll post below. I commented on the section towards the bottom. Cheers, MorphVT Code: /** ********************************************* * Prototype of styles for horizontal CSS-menu * @data 30.06.2009 ********************************************* * (X)HTML-scheme: * <div id="menu"> * <ul class="menu"> * <li><a href="#" class="parent"><span>level 1</span></a> * <ul> * <li><a href="#" class="parent"><span>level 2</span></a> * <ul><li><a href="#"><span>level 3</span></a></li></ul> * </li> * </ul> * </li> * <li class="last"><a href="#"><span>level 1</span></a></li> * </ul> * </div> ********************************************* */ /* menu::base */ div#menu { height:41px; background:url(images/main-bg.png) repeat-x; } div#menu ul { margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; float: left; } div#menu ul.menu { padding-left: 30px; } div#menu li { position: relative; z-index: 9; margin: 0; padding: 0 5px 0 0; display: block; float: left; } div#menu li:hover>ul { left: -2px; } div#menu a { position: relative; z-index: 10; height: 41px; display: block; float: left; line-height: 41px; text-decoration: none; font: normal 12px Trebuchet MS; } div#menu a:hover, div#menu a:hover span { color: #fff; } div#menu li.current a {} div#menu span { display: block; cursor: pointer; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 95% 0; } div#menu ul ul a.parent span { background-position:95% 8px; background-image: url(images/item-pointer.gif); } div#menu ul ul a.parent:hover span { background-image: url(images/item-pointer-mover.gif); } /* menu::level1 */ div#menu a { padding: 0 10px 0 10px; line-height: 30px; color: #e5e5e5; } div#menu span { margin-top: 5px; }/**@replace#1*/ div#menu li { background: url(images/main-delimiter.png) 98% 4px no-repeat; } div#menu li.last { background: none; } /* menu::level2 */ div#menu ul ul li { background: none; } div#menu ul ul { position: absolute; top: 38px; left: -999em; width: 163px; padding: 5px 0 0 0; background: rgb(45,45,45); <--- CHANGING THIS WORKS margin-top:1px; } div#menu ul ul a { padding: 0 0 0 15px; height: auto; float: none; display: block; line-height: 24px; color: rgb(169,169,169); <--- CHANGING THIS NOTHING HAPPENS } div#menu ul ul span { margin-top: 0; padding-right: 15px; _padding-right: 20px; color: rgb(169,169,169); <--- CHANGING THIS NOTHING HAPPENS } div#menu ul ul a:hover span { color: #fff; <--- CHANGING THIS NOTHING HAPPENS } div#menu ul ul li.last { background: none; } div#menu ul ul li { width: 100%; } I have page that automatically changes the images in a container via css. Hi I'm putting a page together with a vertical tiling background. It's ok in Safari, but the tiling image seems to stop before the bottom of the page. It should be held by the #container div, but the developer toolbar shows this ending way before the end of the page - even though I have contained content still appearing down to the page edge. The site is at bringmyshuttle.com As far as I can see my code makes sense... Any ideas? Thanks I update the website of a local gaming center and I recently redesigned it. I am not a CSS expert and now that I have integrated it into to site, the background will not fill the screen on larger monitor sizes. When you scroll down to the bottom of the page it turns leaves a large white space at the bottom of the screen. There is also an odd white border around the site. The css can be found in the source code. The site is nextlevelchardon.com I have been trying to create a page from my layout that uses an imaga gallery with on CSS using Ref Web page . When I try to use it on my page IE 6 works but Firefox doesn't. (The text below the image div doesn't stay in the conntent div. My Web Page Also, with the image gallery how do I keep Image text information (ie description/title of photo with the current one. It only displays when I use the mouse over, but I want both if possible (one hides when hovering) Any help would be great. Thanks Matt Hi, I'm having some problems printing a html document. I have a print.css file that formats my page. I've set up a class for inserting page breaks where I need them. But for some reason it doesn't work. Also it's doing a strange page break at the beginning of my html document when it's printed. For some reason I can't add a link to my posts, so here's the url minus the www's and the dot. jfmackie.com/About_Us/our_team_Sales_copy.html Please help! Thanks sskully Hi, I wanted to make active page link as bold and blue. When I hover the menu/link it works but when I click the menu item/link it doesn't. Here is my script. Please help its driving me crazy. #menu { font-family: "trebuchet ms", verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: none; position: absolute; height: 27px; top: 60px; left: 0px; width: 100%; padding: 0px; color: #000000; background-color: #eee } a:link { font-weight: none; text-decoration: none; color: #000; } a:visited { font-weight: none; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 1px dotted #369; color: #000; } a:hover { text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold; border-bottom: 1px solid #036; color: blue; } a:active { text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold; border-bottom: 1px solid #036; color: blue; } #menu a:active { text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold; border-bottom: 1px solid #036; color: blue; } I've made a site for someone and it was center aligning and it worked in all 3 main browsers (IE, FF and Opera) so when I was tinkering with ideas for redoing the look of my site, I used the CSS sheet I used for his site as a base for mine. Unfortunately it's only center align in IE7 with my site. My site is admittedly a bit more complex, at the moment, with more divs, it should still work. Mind you I'm probably just too tired to spot the obvious. Can anyone see what's stopping it from center aligning in FF and Opera? The template: http://www.toadwarrior.com/temp/index.php The CSS: http://www.toadwarrior.com/temp/mark_h_walker_journalist.css Thank you in advance. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post urls here or not, didn't see anything against it but I'm sure someone will inform me if we can or can't. Anyways I'm having problems getting the "current" class to work for the active page. I want the current page to use the rollover id. This is a code snippet that should be enough to figure out how I am doing my navigation. I am using a single image and shifting it depending on the state it's in. Hi there, I have xsl: Code: <div class="block"> <table> <tr> <th>header1</th> <th>header2</th> </tr> <tr> <td>text</td> <td>text</td> </tr> <tr> <td>text</td> <td>text</td> </tr> <tr></tr> </table> </div> and css: Code: .block{ page-break-inside: avoid; } but it's not working, this should prevent page break in the middle of that table, but it does not. If the table happens to be in middle of page break the end of the table is printed to the beginning of next page. If I replace page-break-inside: avoid; with page-break-befo always; it does break before the table. So what wrong with page-break-inside, it should work, right? What am I missing..? I guess it's something stuped.. please, help me out, thanks! I am generating a list with PHP that is going to be printed out and hung up for display. I would prefer if the following weren't printed. 1) Top Left - Page Title (I know I can have this disappear by having a blank title, but I would prefer to have one) 2) Top Right - Page URL 3) Bottom Left - Page number (ex: 1 of 2) 4) Bottom Right - Date Is there any way to print the list without these? I wasn't sure if there is some css I can use, or if this is something that the printer prints automatically. Thanks Hi All : Currently i'm running in .NET platform together with VB.net and ASP. I faced a problem regarding to the PAGE BREAK html tag. The problem is when i want to print out a report, it will show with scroll bar and the report is very long. So what i have to do is to apply Page-Break-After/Before into the HTML. how am i know if the report already apply the Page Break function or not? And the only style i can use is CSS. Anyone familiar with this? It's urgent !! Hope can get anyone help asap. Regards, JeFFery I am trying to make a pattern tile the full height of the page and match up with an image at the top. It's a little bit hard to explain and a lot easier to show, so I've documented my first two attempts below. Failed Solution 1 - Pattern as a part of a div set at height: 100%; with outer divs also set at height: 100%; See attempt 1: Code: http://www.hesterdesigns.com/Web2/yellow.html Problem is that the divs aren't growing to the height of the page, and so the pattern isn't tiling the whole height of the page. Failed Solution 2 - The Pattern is part of the body background which tiles on y. See attempt 2: Code: http://www.hesterdesigns.com/Web2/index.html Any suggestions? I'm hoping to find a way to do this using only CSS and without having to resort to Javascript solutions. |
