CSS - Noscript Tag
I have the following code:
Code: <noscript> <style type="text/css"> ul#menu ol { display:block; text-align:left; list-style-type:none; margin:0; padding: 5px; } ul#menu1 ol { display:block; text-align:left; list-style-type:none; margin:0; padding: 5px; } </style> </noscript> However, when I try to validate, it gives me this error message: Quote: <style type="text/css"> The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed). One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error). This is placed right inside the body tag... I had it placed in the head section, but received other errors. This is the only error left using the validator, so want to get this figured out. Thanks. Similar TutorialsHi, I have a drop down menu which is using jquery to animate it. I am trying to set it up to display when JS is disables. I have added the following code inside a <style> tag which is inside a <noscript> tag. However, the drop down menu does not display it's drop downs. They can simply just appear, so there is no animation needed. This is my code: PHP Code: ul.tabs { display: table; margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; position: relative; height:40px; width:100%; } ul.tabs li { margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; display: inline-block; float: left; position: relative; padding:0 2px 0px 0px; } ul.tabs a { position: relative; display: block; line-height:40px; padding:0 18px; color:#FFF; font-size:13px; -moz-border-radius: 5px 5px 0px 0px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px 5px 0px 0px; -khtml-border-radius: 5px 5px 0px 0px; border-radius: 5px 5px 0px 0px; } ul.tabs a:hover, ul.tabs a.selected { background:#c95884; } ul.tabs a.connect { position: relative; display: block; line-height:38px; padding:0 18px; background: #54c45f; font-size:13px; } ul.tabs a.connect:hover, ul.tabs a.connect.selected { background:#68cb72; } Any ideas how I can make the sub items display? |
