CSS - Probelm With Template Affects Ff Only - Wordpress
Similar TutorialsI tried a bunch of stuff to fix this. I only removed the sidebar from the pages, not the blog. Hi... I'm trying to make a div that is exact in its dimensions. So for example... PHP Code: // the style definition .test { background-color: #cccccc; width: 100px; height: 20px; padding-left: 20px; } // the body of the html document <div class="test">My test</div> Now with this style definition, I would expect that the size of the div box will be the same even if I commented out the padding-left line... because that is just padding, not the width! But amazingly enough, the padding adds to the width of the box. And in order to get the width of the box back to 100px, I have to subtract the padding from the width... so that I would have to change width to 80px in order for the box to still be 100px wide. Any ideas why this is the case? It seems very counterintuitive to me and I know that I can always change the width to make it look right again, but it feels wrong and it very sloppy. All pages also are linked to a main stylesheet for my website. Everything works in internet explorer EXCEPT that blog page (if you go to the main page of my site in IE, it loads fine). This has led me to conclude that there is something specifically in the blog's style sheet that doesn't work in IE. When you load the blog page in IE, the page is thrown off center, and the menu dropdown does not work anymore. Can someone simply look at this stylesheet and tell me how to correct it for internet explorer? As I said, all of this loads fine in other browsers, and the menu works on all other pages of the site in any browser. I am looking to purchase a CSS only template (no flash, no php, etc) that is for a company who sells software. I need it to support and have room for a lot of text and am not interested in several columns. A dropdown menu would be ideal. I have been looking on various sites but haven't found anything suitable. Does anyone know of any off hand? Here's the problem. In IE the width of the 'content' div is 509 pixels as can be seen by the red border (put in there to show the borders of the div). I am not defining the width to be 509 pixels, it is just defaulting to that width. You need to look at the page in IE...in Firefox it works fine. Hey Guys, I hope this is in the right forum. I've purchased a wordpress theme and it contains a video background using JWPlayer. Part of the JWPlayer functionality is that it allows play/pause control when hovering over the video and a "hover hand" replaces the regular cursor. I'd like the cursor to stay the same at all times, and remove the ability to play/pause the video. So it's essentially just a regular looking background that's a video. I've done some searching online and it appears this is possible by placing a transparent div frame over the entire page with a cooresponding z index. Seems easy enough, but I'm not very familiar with CSS and the more I look online for the best way to go about this, the more confused and lost I'm getting. Can anybody shed some light on the best way to go about this? Certainly it must be quite straightforward? I'm trying to edit a free Wordpress theme called "Imprezz 1.3" so that the date of each post is displayed about 20 pixels more to the left. The submenu's are where I have an issue - they appear exactly as I want when a menu item is selected (indented and normal font weight) however when a sub menu item is selected the indent dissappears and it treats it like a main menu item. Below is the code where I think the issue is. I've been googling like mad to see if anyone else has the same problem with this particular template but no joy. On a seperate note if there are any joomla template experts out there I would be happy to pay a reasonable fee to make some other modifications (basically the padding and position of the main column is all over the place dependent on the content that is displayed). I'd also like to upgrade this to joomla 1.6 at some stage. Enquired with a couple of "professional" Joomla developers and recieved no reply. When I upload it to my webhost (agilityhoster) everything appears to work OK..but the header colour and some of the graphic images don't apear. Other issue is that the top spot for navigation is set to the right and not aligned with the whole template. Hi, I'm having a little trouble positioning something on my header.
