CSS - Tab Content Style Editing
I am trying to edit widths of my content tab div. Couldnt figure how.
http://www.pearl.ru/isdunyasi/test2.asp I am using this tab content: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/tabcontent.htm Similar TutorialsHi guys, I recently redeseigned my site using CSS from tables. When the window (IE) was made smaller before, the content would stay put but you just wouldnt see it all (obviously cause now the window is smaller) but with CSS it dumps it at the very bottom of the screen and leaves my content area totally blank. Is there some way this can be fixed? Daragh Hey, I'm a CSS noob, and I'm having some trouble with centering the content of my page. When I have the coding as an internal style sheet the page is centered, but when I put it in an external style sheet it looks the exact same...except for that it's left aligned. All I do is copy and paste it, but it change the layout around? Any tips? I am just wondering if there is a way to simply extend a style rule from one previously defined. For instance, if I have this rule: Code: .textarea-box { color: #990000; background-color: #fff; width: 375px; height: 200px; border: #000 solid 1px; } ...if I want another text area rule to be the same except for one difference, the height should be 80px, do I have to write the rule out again with a new name, incorporating the new height, or is there some nifty way to just change the height in the new rule? Thanks for help with this. j9 I have a menu bar made up of elements that have a hover style of:
PHP Code: #mainMenu a:hover { color:#000000; background-color: #66c74c; padding: 1px 4px 1px 4px; margin: 1px 1px 1px 1px; } This will provide a green colored rollover visual as the user moves their mouse over the menu bar. I just added some JS today that will highlight the clicked (selected) menu so there is visual feedback of the section the user is in. For some reason, after setting the background color of the and color attributes, the HOVER: no longer functions. Here is the code to do the hilite where I pass the ID of the menu selection in the variable "menu": PHP Code: //--- Simplify setup by creating an array of the menus and hilight ID's --- var menus = ["menu1","menu2","menu3","menu4","menu5", "menu6","menu7","menu8","menu9","menu10"]; function J_hiliteMenu(menu) { //--- first make sure all the menu are hidden and unhilited --- for(i=0; i < menus.length; i++) { if (menus[i] == menu) theIndex = i; // Hold on to the chosen index position var obj = document.getElementById(menus[i]); if (obj == null) continue; // if menu is not available skip it obj.style.color = "#ffffff"; obj.style.backgroundColor = "#234fd7"; } //--- hilite the menu we're interested in --- var obj = document.getElementById(menu); obj.style.color = "#000000"; obj.style.backgroundColor = "#f8f400"; } Prior to hiliting the menu I un-hilite all the menus (since we may be switching from another). I think this is where the problem is. Maybe I need to redefine the rollover "hover" attribute for all elements during the un-hilite loop? Does anyone know how to set a HOVER: attribute using JavaScript? Thanks! ok im messing around with the css of some text within php... Code: "

Quote by * :

*

" ); a few questions... how would i make.. Quote by * : appear blue and have the * bold? i have tried adding and at either side of the * and the php code just echos out or Greetings, Several years ago, I use to make many, many websites for a hobby. However, with work and other responsibilities (and moving to China), I have had my hands full. However, I am in the process of trying to open my own Education Center in China, and would like to develop a site. Much has changed, though, and I have also forgotten much. I never used CSS in my old sites, but now it seems almost all templates have CSS. I downloaded a free template, and am in the process of editing it. I can stumble through much of it and figure it out, but I am having trouble with the top and bottom menus of my site. I have two flags on the top menu that I need to change the alignment on. I want them to be closer together, and vertically aligned in the middle. I have fiddled with the code, but only make it worse. Also, I want the top and bottom menu to be perfectly centered, but the only way I can adjust them are be tweaking some numbers, and cannot do it with the center code. Some help would be MUCH appreciated for this old dog. My site is concord(dash)sihai(dot)com. As you can see, the flag position is correct, but the spacing between them is not. And they have inherited the rollover, background effect, which is not what I want. Thanks, Shawn Hi there, I have a content glider script, but I have added it to a wrapper with a background image. The css is using a white background colour so when a new layer is glided up, it covers the one underneath it. However, I want the background to be transparent to show the background image underneath.... If I remove the white background, they layers become transparent and overlay each other, so you can see all text in the layers on top of each other making it impossible to read. Is there anyway I can make it so it has a transparent background, but so it will not show the content under the new slide? This is my CSS: PHP Code: .glidecontentwrapper{ position: relative; /* Do not change this value */ height: 230px; /* Set height to be able to contain height of largest content shown*/ overflow: hidden; } /* Total wrapper width: 350px+5px+5px=360px Or width of wrapper div itself plus any left and right CSS border and padding Adjust related containers below according to comments */ .glidecontent{ /*style for each glide content DIV within wrapper.*/ position: absolute; /* Do not change this value */ background: white; visibility: hidden; width: 330px; } /* Total glidecontent width: 330px+10px+10px=350px Or width of wrapper div itself (not counting wrapper border/padding) */ .glidecontenttoggler{ /*style for DIV used to contain toggler links. */ width: 360px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center; /*How to align pagination links: "left", "center", or "right" background: white; /*always declare an explicit background color for fade effect to properly render in IE*/ } Any help would be great! Thanks. Hi, I have created a accordion menu using a spry widget built into Dreamweaver CS3. However I want to amend this so that the menu is collapsed until the user clicks on a category. Do I have to amend the CSS or the javascript to make it collapsed to begin with? Any help would be appericated. Thanks Gary I'm sure all of you have stumbled onto this at some point if you use Macromedia Dreamweaver. You're working on a CSS-driven layout and it looks perfect in multiple web browsers, but in the actual Dreamweaver design edit mode the page appears garbled and elements are out of place or you can't even see them. While it's not really a problem for you to update and work with the site, it would certainly be difficult for someone not familiar with it to change content and make updates. Does anyone know of a plug-in that would resolve this problem? Or perhaps does someone know what attributes or elements most often cause the problem in Dreamweaver? Does anyone know how to manipulate images within spliced tables? I need to manipulate them with CSS so that that bottom half of the image is revealed only when it is clicked or hovered over? The menu suits my needs perfectly with only 1 problem. I want to position the menu in a fixed location on my website somewhere other than the edge of the screen, so i adjust the xy coordinates in the ssmItems.js file to do so...the problem is that the menu changes location depending on whether the window is maximized or not and on the resolution of the monitor. height: 20px; margin-bottom: 1px; } This kicks sibling divs onto their own line (which is what I wanted) but the spacing between divs is 2 pixels and I can't seem to find any combination of padding, margins etc to get the spacing down to one pixel. Does anyone know of a way to control the inter-div spacing when "clear" is defined? Thanks Ken --------------------------------------------------------------- Original post --------------------------------------------------------------- I'm trying to make a few divs to create the same basic functionality as an outline (with disclosure triangles etc...) and am having alignment problems.
