CSS - Duplicate Link Items <li> </li>
Hey everyone,
I have a listing of links on my sitemap and there seems to be an issues. In firefox it's not so bad, it just looks like the bullets are ghosted. But in IE there are blank empty list items. I don't see anything in the code that can do this but it is kinda strange that it starts where I have ‹ and ›. Other than that there is nothing different between the list items. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Similar TutorialsWe have our magento store with lots of categories, but it looks silly with categories being added under the first row. We'd like to have these added on a row above this, but i am having a hrd time getting this done. Is there an easy way to have category items being added on top in a new row, instead of a new row under the current one? Simply put, instead of this way: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 We want it this way: 6 7 8 9 1 2 3 4 5 As you understand this will look much better and not screw with our design;-) Anybody? Hi, In constructing my site www.brilliantprints.com.au. I used duplicate div ids for each line of the navigation menu. It displays fine in IE but breaks in Firefox. The menu is controlled by an individual style sheet. chromestyle.css I've been trying to fix it for almost a week now - but can't seem to come up with a solution that a) validates b) Isn't broken. In terms of positioning and controlling the second div id (the lower navigation menu) does anyone have some quick suggestions. Matt PROBLEM: I create a nice button using the sliding doors technique for rounded corners. But the button displays with 100% width unless I float it. My layout requires that the buttons be inline with the text, so floating won't work. Anyone know an alternative? I wouldn't mind floating but I want the button to show inline with the text. When I use float:left, it removes it from the inline flow. Basically, I want a very modular button that can be used in several different places on a page. In many cases, floating is fine because the mockup has it out of the inline text, but I want to use it there, too. Try clicking on one of the Left or Right white image arrows below the main picture. This only occurs in Firefox 2.x. Once you click the link, the content area below "Starting from $278.497" should shift roughly 5 pixels down. I thought it may be related to the dotted link outline that surrounds the image, but that was not the case. I applied styles to get rid of that and there was no changes. I also thought it may be related to a position:relative; bug which this site has been notorious for. I tried making certain divs in that area position:relative to no avail. So to test further I tried an overall #content *{position:relative;} fix which could not fix the position shift, either. I'm not sure what else it could be. And while I do have access to the build of this app, I have not been able to reproduce the issue by downloading all HTML, CSS, and image files locally. I have a floated CSS Horizontal Drop Down Menu, it's centered in my page just fine in firefox, but in IE it's skewed way off to the right side. (Also having problems with the dropdown's not appearing in IE :S) If anyone can help me with IE fixes on either of these problems that would be great. I'm using a menu from CSSPlay, and I have it working. http://www.wattersisere.co.uk/devshed It also works for browsers with 800x600 screens. However, as you can see the menu items on the top bar are close together (2 * 11px). I am wanting to increase the spacing between them depending on the browser size. Maybe a % would be appropriate, any other ideas would be super. Alternatively, I could increase the spacing between them to an aesthetically pleasing size and then force the smaller browsers to have a horizontal scrollbar. What would I have to make this work, or would you not recommend it? Hi, I have a list of items, but when one item goes onto the next line, It doesn't align with the text above it. Here is an example. Look at the right hand column, and notice how the list items, when they go into 2 lines, the second line aligns with the bullet point and not the text. If I use display-block or -inline-block the result is different but never ok. If I use Inline-Block, all the drop down menu items have the width(+padding) of the father menu except the last line which is longer without the right padding also, text and background. If I use Block, all the drop down menu items have the width(+padding) of the father menu but the last line goes out of the menu only during an hover and just the text, not the black transparent background which has the same length as other drop down menu items... What should I add to solve that ? I would like the menu to be large enough to show all the items. I'm using ImpressPages.org CMS that's why I can not use another layout for these menus. Thanks a lot. I have a site that is using the suckerfish style dropdown sorta... On a previous version I had the li dropdown block entirely clickable, so a user could click in any part of the 160px block, but on a current site using the same navigation just dropped in you can only click on the word and nothing happens for the rest of the 'box'.. It works fine in Firefox but not IE, if there is an image aligned to the right of the link it extends the clickable region... Any help would be appreciated. Nothing seems to work that I have tried. I know very little about css but understand the basic principle but can't seem to find the problem. I want the footer to be 100% the width of the page and for the three wigets to be in a single row of 3 but in the center and not off to the left.
