CSS - Need Help Please!!! Wordpress/buddypress Profile Css Theming!

Hey everyone. I have never posted here before, but I am really needing some help. I am not a newbie, and make layouts on a regular basis. Now I am not claming that I know everything about CSS cause I def don't...lol...but this one has really got me stumped. Please help.

I created a layout for a friend of mine. He was complaining about the background not showing up. Well I immediately went and checked the code and IT WORKED JUST FINE. I tried the layout code on two other user's myspace profiles and used two different computers to check it and CRAZY ENOUGH, it was still working perfectly.

However when you add the layout to his profile, the background will just NOT show up. It is not only this layout, but I tried different layouts, once that I created and ones I didn't. Whenever you put a layout code in his profile, every other element of the layout works EXCEPT for the background showing up.

So I figured it must be some other code pasted in one of his sections, screwing the layout code up. WRONG AGAIN! I took at ALL other codes in every section and the background still won't work. I even tried changes Myspace account settings and all kinds of crazy off the wall things, and I can't get it to work.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Please tell me you have, and that you know what might be causing this...and have a fix. It is driving me insane. Thanks!

If you open it in firefox or other browsers, it works fine. The menu at the top is on all pages on my site (via a php include). All pages also are linked to a main stylesheet for my website. Everything works in internet explorer EXCEPT that blog page (if you go to the main page of my site in IE, it loads fine).

This has led me to conclude that there is something specifically in the blog's style sheet that doesn't work in IE. When you load the blog page in IE, the page is thrown off center, and the menu dropdown does not work anymore.

Can someone simply look at this stylesheet and tell me how to correct it for internet explorer? As I said, all of this loads fine in other browsers, and the menu works on all other pages of the site in any browser.

Any help would be appreciated, and I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

I'm using wordpress 2.9 and I installed a plugin called wp-polls the problem is that the Y in Yes and N in No on the poll won't show up in IE.

I'm trying to edit a free Wordpress theme called "Imprezz 1.3" so that the date of each post is displayed about 20 pixels more to the left. Here's a picture of what I'm going for:

I've tried to mess with positioning and z-index in the stylesheet for .postTime, .postDay & .postEra without much success (I get the div to move but the part that's supposed to be 'sticking out' of the page doesn't show). Any help would be much appreciated!

I hope this is in the right forum. I've purchased a wordpress theme and it contains a video background using JWPlayer.

Part of the JWPlayer functionality is that it allows play/pause control when hovering over the video and a "hover hand" replaces the regular cursor.

I'd like the cursor to stay the same at all times, and remove the ability to play/pause the video. So it's essentially just a regular looking background that's a video.

I've done some searching online and it appears this is possible by placing a transparent div frame over the entire page with a cooresponding z index.

Seems easy enough, but I'm not very familiar with CSS and the more I look online for the best way to go about this, the more confused and lost I'm getting.

Can anybody shed some light on the best way to go about this? Certainly it must be quite straightforward?
