CSS - Style For Unvisited Link In Div Not Working
Hello,
My unvisted links within a div section are not working, they default to Red which is set up in the CSS as a catch-all. Any ideas? I know how to use the class etc but i can't get he link part right. Thanks I have not done much web designing lately and have forgoten a number of things. Right now i cannot remember if it is possible to specify link styles for a specific class for a cell in a table. I have this code for the entire page: a:link,a:active,a:visited,a:hover { color : #FFFFFF; text-decoration: underline; } However, I want to have it different in only a specific cell of a table. But when i first published the site the Link tag appeared normally. I obviously don't want the css dumped into a Style tag each time as this is very inefficient and bypasses all my caching/expires settings. So now my two questions. 1. What do I have to do to let it look in all the browsers the same? In Netscape 7.2 the links are to close to each other. In IE6 to width ( vertical ). 2. The menuHeader is on the most browsers correct ( mac and Win ) except MS. There is no 1px between the border and the red area. Or... are the others wrong and MS right? I hope that someone can help me? Hello, I am trying to do some tweaking on my website to clear up some "standards" issues. For example I get this error "The P ALIGN attribute is deprecated in HTML 4.01". What they want is for me to put the align into a CSS file to correct this. I personally I am NOT found of CSS files I just like putting things into the source... But it now seems if I want things totally error free I am going to need to start using one. If I put the CSS code directly into a HTM/HTML file all works ok. My problem is if I try and use a style.css file NOTHING works. I get NO errors like this in the CSS file or html but the call to p align=justify or center is just ignored. before the </head> just above it I use this line <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print"> I try and call the CSS file like this in the html code <p class="j"> My style.css file has this in it p.j { text-align: justify; } p.c { text-align: center; } From everything I read this is 100% correct... yet it does not work. I want the image border to initially be set to none, but when I rollover the image I want it to turn white, 1px wide. Tried doing this with normal link styles, but it ain't workin. So how do you do this? Thanks mM When viewing my website, the font is too small in IE/Opera/Crazy Browser. I am a Firefox user and the site looks the way I want when viewed in Navigator & Firefox. I don't want to change that. I'm thinking that I can use java script to make a page link to a specific style sheet, based on the user's browser. I have a website title which appears on every page. The whole title is a link to the index page of the website. I want the second part of the title to be a h1 header with smaller font in a different colour. I also want the whole title to be on one line. I can only seem to get either all the words in the same font, or I can get the two parts to display their different fonts correctly, but they then appear on two lines, one under the other! gday i have a bunch of tables that are only to be shown based on a javascript call, but for some reason, firefox is rendering the space of the table, where as IE 7 isn't.. eg. <table style"display: none;"></table> with a whole bunch of rows in it.. the webpage still loads blank space everywhere, rather than just empty space thoughts? |
