CSS - Question About Easily Changing Webpages..
I am wondering how to use CSS where I can have the same layout on every page, and if say I change the content in the footer it will change on EVERY page

For example, let's say I have a fieldset, and inside are some fields, and a <legend>. Is it possible to make the legend change color when I move my mouse over the fieldset, and not the legend? Generally when you print something from web, it prints, title, url, page number, etc. I know that you can configure your browser's settings to not print that, but is there a way through css or any other way to write your style sheet in such a way that those things are not printed? Lets say your on www.yahoo.com and you print the page. the footer will say http://www.yahoo.com what i am trying to find is a code that i can change the footer to say whatever i wanted. so if your on yahoo.com and press print it says "HELLO" (for example). I can nest tables with the best of them but when it comes to using div's and css instead i just can't figure out how to precisely place things! In the style sheet there are two styles that I would like to change depending on the section of the website. For example: in the style sheet css id "subnav" has background: #E8EDF5 and cssi id "subtitle" has background #E8EDF5 however in each major section of the website I would like to change the background colors of the divs that have id "subnav" and "subtitle". Is there type of php statement that I could place at the top of my website pages that would allow me to specify the colors of these two css ids? Hope I have made this clear. For my simple page project I am using to learn CSS, I have a <div> that denotes the header. Thanks for any advice. I have an existing two column layout that uses a 175px left border to create the column. This layout is terrible. It creates all kinds of problems in Firefox. I just need to make it more simple. I know there are better ways to create a 2col layout, if some of CSS experts here could help, I'd be grateful. What I have is and Unordered List that has a heading in each List Item and then a few items under that. The List Items are links arranged in a grid that have a hover effect on mouseover. Due to the colors I want the heading (in this case h2) in each li to change color on the a:hover (the hover over anywhere on each li, not just over the h2 text). How can I achieve this? As is the h2 only changes when it is directly hovered, not the the li. Regards, I don't know if this is possible but I want to change the background color of some tables programmaticly basically what's happening is I'm ruining some asp.net code which is checking to see if something is approved or not. if it's approved then I want to change the color of the background for one of the HTML tables. if it's not approved then i want to leave it as the default background color. is there a way to do this? Hi, I'm aware that you can change the appearance of an image using CSS (filters etc), but I actually need to change the colour of an image....how?? Initially I tried adding style="filter:gray", but that didn't work. It's basically for a site that's going to be skinned, but I don't want to have to go through the laborious(sp?) process of editing all of the images. Basically, if the image is blue, I want to overlay something onto it to make it look red, or brown, or white etc. Can anyone recommend a method? Cheers |
