CSS - Changing The Url Footing <---
Hello,
I have been looking all ovet the forums and google and cant find a code to do this. what i am trying to do is when someone prints a page, i want the footer that is automataly printed at the bottom of the page to change. Lets say your on www.yahoo.com and you print the page. the footer will say http://www.yahoo.com what i am trying to find is a code that i can change the footer to say whatever i wanted. so if your on yahoo.com and press print it says "HELLO" (for example). Thanks In Advance. Similar Tutorialshey all, so im way behind the times when it comes to creating webpages with div's instead of nested and renested tables. I can nest tables with the best of them but when it comes to using div's and css instead i just can't figure out how to precisely place things! Does anyone know of a guide that explains how to use divs effectively instead of tables? thanks - legit Hi am looking for help changing a form select box with css. I am trying to get the select box in line with the rest of the scroll boxes and arrows on my site.... http://www.peteromoore.com/site3/brochure.htm is there any way to change the select box arrow to match the arrow beside it??? any help would be appreciated. I have a header.inc and a css style sheet that are called to each page of a website via php. In the style sheet there are two styles that I would like to change depending on the section of the website. For example: in the style sheet css id "subnav" has background: #E8EDF5 and cssi id "subtitle" has background #E8EDF5 however in each major section of the website I would like to change the background colors of the divs that have id "subnav" and "subtitle". Is there type of php statement that I could place at the top of my website pages that would allow me to specify the colors of these two css ids? Hope I have made this clear. Hi, how can I set the <a> tag (of <a href...) to be of some color in one div and some other color in another div? Anyone know why the margins change on the links when I hover over them with IE. (check left column navigation) http://section31.us/temp/tortilla/tortilla.html Note: This works fine on firefox, but goes ape**** on IE. I need some help. I'm starting out with php and i'm already stressing out. Here's the challenge: I have to make a page that contains 3 radio buttons the radio buttons control which color font you'll like to display on that page the page must reference itself (no outside css stylesheet) I must use the switch function to switch the stylesheet. So far, this is what I have. Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? Thank you. (What I've done so far is at http://homepage.mac.com/johntstuart/mockup/ ) I've been told there is a way for JavaScript to replace the content of a DIV, when the user selects from the navigation. Can anyone point me in the direction of this JavaScript? And any tutorials? hey, i want to change a certain link to a different colour. but i want all the other links to be the 'original' i have tried appling a class but the 'original' link seems to be taking over i want to change the "Top" link to red site is located at: http://studentwork.qantm.com.au/pking/website/seminars.cfm the css is located at: http://studentwork.qantm.com.au/pking/website/ptwm.css any help would be great thanks Does anybody knows how to change the bgcolor of a box when we hover the mouse over it? Go http://www.avocadolite.com/v9/ to get what i mean. In this case the avocado's bgcolor is green, i think. Ok I simply cannot figure this one out. All I'm trying to do is change the font color so that the text like "Choose a Username" is not black but white. Is this possible? if so how? Thanks there is a picture attached, as you can see it has a margin, i highlighted it, otherwise it would be snug with the bright green border ps: borders are only there to see the sections 2) Can i change what the <br> tag does? can I make my own class? I would like to make a <br class"mybr"> that would have a 10px space, or something like that. Is this possible? I have a layout in which I use a <div> called #image on all pages in the site. I know this question is silly, but I have no idea how to do this: #image { margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 178px; margin-top:0px; padding:0px 0px 175px 0px; border-bottom:1px solid #003366; background-color:#f5f5f5; background-image:url(binary_liquid_2.jpg); background-position:top left; background-repeat:no-repeat; } as you can see in this div, the background image for the home page is binary_liquid_2.jpg If I wanted to maintain the same page structure, but use a differnet image in that div on each page, how do I code that? I was thinking that #image would simply provide the "box" dimensions and then I would have seperate classes for each page like .image_help .image_contact. These classes would then place a new picture in that #image div depending on the page I was viewing. IS that correct? And, wodl the HTML markup be: <div id="image" class="image_contact"> </div> is that close? please help! thanks a million jpm226@bellsouth.net i am sorry 2 have wasted ur time why cant i delete my threads anymore Hello first of all I'm new here Well I have a linked css file where I define some basic style for <a> tag. But there are some <div> where I want to override the basic <a> defines and I have no idea how. Here is what I mean: Code: a{ color: #ffffff; } .someDivClass{ ..some defines.. But here I also want to make <a>'s color red for example. } Hope you understood me Thanks a lot. Greetings I hope the title wasn't too confusing. If not this is sure to be. What I have is and Unordered List that has a heading in each List Item and then a few items under that. The List Items are links arranged in a grid that have a hover effect on mouseover. Due to the colors I want the heading (in this case h2) in each li to change color on the a:hover (the hover over anywhere on each li, not just over the h2 text). How can I achieve this? Here is some code to (hopefully) clarify: Code: #lower { width: 765px; float: left; margin-top: 10px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 10px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 0px; } #lower ul { width: 775px; list-style-type: none; margin: 0; padding: 0px; } #lower ul li { font-family: "Trebuchet MS"; font-size: 14px; width: 250px; float: left; } #lower ul li a { text-decoration: none; display: block; height: 125px; color: #262626; } #lower ul li a:hover { background-color: #5B8C3E; color: #D9D9D9; } #lower h2 { font-family: "Trebuchet MS"; font-size: 16px; margin: 0px; color: #262626; } #lower a h2:hover { color: #D9CE3F; } As is the h2 only changes when it is directly hovered, not the the li. Thanks in advance for your help. I don't know if this is possible but I want to change the background color of some tables programmaticly basically what's happening is I'm ruining some asp.net code which is checking to see if something is approved or not. if it's approved then I want to change the color of the background for one of the HTML tables. if it's not approved then i want to leave it as the default background color. is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help Hi, My side navigation seems to be moving down when main content is added to a page for some reason, any ideas why and how i can fix this: Thanks, Mike ------- Thanks fixed!
