I found this great website that shows me how to create these great buttons with some images.

How can I do this with a button instead of a link???

Hi, I have sort of a strange problem.

I'm making a centered website, and I have a shopping cart image which is actually a submit button for a form. If I make it just a plain image it looks like this:

However, when it's an <input type="image"> (which is what I need) it moves it drastically.

Any idea how to make index2 look like index1 while using <input type="image">? Thanks!

is there any way to change the style of the "Browse..." button on the <input type="file"/> tag?

for instance, setting background-color will only change the text box of the tag and not the button.

I'm not overly accomplished when it comes to CSS so here's my question. I've got the following HTML code:

I'm preloading a value into this text field which may run past the visible length of the textbox. The text box is situated inside a table cell. The text box fills the table cell space completely whilst the text inside it does not run over but once the text is more than can be displayed in the space provided by the table cell, it forces the textbox to grow. My question is, is there a way around this so that I can still instruct the textbox to be 100% width of the table cell without expanding when the text overflows.

If i want to use the strict DTD, is there an alternative to the target attribute on the <a> link which you are no longer allowed to use?

I am interested in the type attribute. The reason is this...

I have a Janus GridEx on my asp.net form and I want to add some css styles to it. There is no ID defined, nor a class of which I can inherit. I can't modify the code for this tag so I was hoping I could use the type attribute to identify this div in my css....

I am having no luck using this rule to set text with-in the body tags correctly.

body{font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 11px; color: #CC0000}

This line will set the color and family of the text but it doesnt effect the typeface's size or any other parameters either. I have tried both pt's and px's but no luck. When I use the <span> configuration for text all is fine. But when I use a rule as above something doesn't work.

Any ideas?

So far I've been unable to find the answer to this question despite numerous Google searches, and am sincerely hoping someone here can give me the definitive answer.

I have an unordered list which requires use of the decimal-leading-zero list style type. However, I need to start the number at 00 instead of 01.

In HTML the way you do this is to put inside the UL tag start="0", but this is not validatable, and actually deprecated.

How can I begin a list with 00 rather than 01 for the decimal-leading-zero list-style-type?

What I need is as follows

div - height:150px width:100%;

div - height: *; width:100%;overflow;scroll

div - height:150px width:100%

I can get this to work if the top and bottom divs are set to lets say 15% and the middle is set to 70% but I want the top and bottom "bars" to keep their size while the middle shrinks

The middle row is supposed to scroll horizontally btw and vertically if necessary

This is to replicate what we are currently using with 3 frames

I can get the "layout" with tables but the scrolling (horizontal) of the middle row wont work. I'd rather not use tables anyway.

Any suggestions?

I am trying to have different type of lists on the same page by using different CSS. Basically I want to define a general list to be used through out the whole website, and another list to be used only within a box. I wish that the list in the box does not contain the bullets. I have a perl script, and would normally do this with tables, but since tables are such a BAD THING &trade; I've been trying to this with CSS, and I've spent too long on it thus far, so I'm looking for a bit of an assist
