CSS - Can't Select Text, Or Enter In Text Field...

wondering if any of you could help me with regards to syntax needed in CSS (im guessing) to make text fields in a form taller and wider?

I am trying to make a select box (align:left) with link text (align:right) inline. I don't know what the best method would be to do this. I tried using li but it doesn't seem to be working.

It looks like it should be simple but for the love of me... it's not working.

Can you please show me how?

I'm creating a mail form using a background image for the input fields. What I don't want is a border. If I don't add a border: solid black, for instance, I get a default white. Is there a way to have no border?

I have an alignment issue that is driving me crazy. For whatever reason, the text that I have in a <span> field is dropping too far down for the last line. Here is a screenshot of the relevant text:

For whatever reason I can't keep the final "Yada" from dropping farther down. It is in the following <td> field:

And the class for the span has the following characteristics:

I can't see what would cause this. I've already tried adjusting the height of the <td> field without any luck. I did get consistent spacing when I added the characteristics "vertical-align: middle", but that made the distance between every line too large.

Any idea what I'm missing here?

how can you specify a new font size in a select list. I need to make the items appearing in that list smaller than they already are.

I'd like to type the text OVER or ON an image but it's not part of the image so you can highlight it.

I found some examples from Google using layers, however, these layers are positioned differently using different browsers. I tested using Firefox, IE 6 and Safari.

I'm pretty sure that a 'professional' website like sparkplug does not use an amateur-ish technique as layers. :S.

P.S Don't suggest me to include the text IN the image, lol, that's not what I would like.

I've got an div set up for images, which just has a style of padding-right 15px; .

Now, I've got a text div with a style of padding-right 5px; .

Whenever I put that div in after the image div, the text appears below the image. Can anyone tell me how to make it so the text appears next to the image (on the right)?

I'm missing something here. I want to change the color of the default value for this text field, without changing the overall color of the input field. For example, the default value of 170 will be gray, but when a user overwrites the data with their own numerical value, it will be black. I know how to change the color of the input field when a user types in data, but is there a way to change the color of the value= ?

I am looking for a way (preferably using CSS) to make an I-beam or cursor inside a text field to become invisible. This may be achieved by changing its color to match the bgcolor, by making it invisible altogether, or even simply to get it to stop blinking (when the bg color is black). Any help would be appreciated.

New to this but with due diligence, will learn this......I have built asp update form to allow users to enter new data into the database. They are wanting to change new text entries into blue rather than using the default color (black). This highlights those new entries for those reviewing the data. I have googled for methods ranging from radio buttons to check boxes to define a new font color with no luck so far....any help is greatly appreciated............best case I think, would be a font tool bar added to the form, but have not found that method

Been having a slight problem with the visual in the screenshot below.

The blue line is our H2, and the purple one is our H3, however, as you can see, the underline spans the entire width of the column, not just underneith the text, which is our requirement.

***As i am not allowed to upload a url as a new user, the underline is as follows. With the text centre aligned.

I would like to pop up the text, that is, make it bigger when the user hovers on it. but the problem everytime the text gets bigger, the whole row moves and the surrounding texts gets displaced.

any idea ? tutorial? let me know if i need to explain more.

hey i'm trying to get the arrow on the select field to be colored as well as the scroll bar when the options drop down. any help?
