Hi, I am working on an online store for the company that I work for and they have me using online shopping cart software to generate the site. It is nice to have the software handle all the back-end work for me but the process of writing html and css is such a pain that I write my code in DW and cut and paste it into the online software. The software gave me one css page to call my own that is automatically referenced on each page.

So, with that said, here's my problem. As you can see, the graphics that I have placed in the center of the page overlap the bottom runner of the software-generated page. I have tried to get the main part of the page to expand with whatever content I have placed there since these are not the only images that will go on this page. But since I am not super experienced, I have been stumped. Part of the problem is that I have limited access to my source html and css. I am rather lost and would like to find a way to make this work. The kicker is that I cannot edit the main stylesheet for the page!

For a project I'm currently doing I'd like a set of quick reference sheets that I can print out of all the Selectors I have created in the various style sheets the site uses.

I'd like to know if there is any program out there that can do this automatically for me, I really like the way TopStyle does it -- see attached image -- but there is no way to print this easily (other than doing a screenshot and making it fit on A4 in photoshop).

I know I could do it by hand as I go but it would be sooooo much easier if there was something to do it automatically for me.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Css Not Aligning In Ie6 And Lightbox Not Opening Online

Hi

Im am stuck with a couple of things on my website, I am completly new to HTML and CSS and need some help please

1st problem is pages are desplaying fine in every browser I have tried barr IE 6 any ideas what would be wrong, its seems to be aligning to the left (just the text not the heading banner or menu)

2nd problem I have is I am trying to use a lightbox (lightview) which works fine on the local computer but once uploaded to my test site it stops working

Css Displays Differently Between Local/online

I have a rather perplexing problem. I just created a website locally in CSS and it works fine when I open it locally (i.e., from my harddrive) in either Firefox or IE. But when I upload the HTML, images, and CSS to my webserver, the formatting breaks rather badly.

I've checked that the files are exactly the same, so I do really don't know what the problem is.

Css Not Working?

Hey guys,

So I am new to doing PSD>>>XHTML (or html) & CSS.

Basically..I am knew to coding I guess you could say as well.

I have been watching this tutorial: net[dot]tutsplus[dot]com/videos/scree...-psd-to-xhtml/

And in it, he tells me about CSS and how to make the images appear. Basically, the images that I want to appear in my css, are not appearing. I have made sure all of the div id's are correct, and they are.

Any help??

(PS- I know some of my things in my CSS are probably not the best practice, but I am not really looking for your criticism, but rather the solution to my problem)

Why Is This Not Working?

Hi guys. I have finished designing a website and everything looks good except for one thing. I have a form and I have positioned the fields using the margin-top css property. It looks great on FF but there's too much space between fields on IE and it looks bad.

i have been trying my hand at css recently and done this page with some css in it but some how it does not seem to be working.my main problem is the fact the two divs one holding the navigation table and the other holding the texttable are not able to use the css properties in terms of font size and font alignment.i looks like that i have made some serious or stupid error here.i would appreciate any help with this.thanks.the code of the page is given below.

Hey, it's me again, I was wondering if there is a way to make any header tag (in my case, it's H3) so that the text appears as normal? Essentially, make it so that nothing changes with the text. eg- 'Hello <H3>everybody</H3>' would appear just the same as 'Hello everybody.'

Ok, I have a design and it works how I want it to in firefox.

However, In IE there are two problems.

1. The graphical border doesnt go all the way around the content area. View it in firefox to see how it's supposed to look.

2. There is a small gap between the first #maintable and #maintable2.

Does anyone know how to fix these? I've been trying for a while without success. It appears that the #maintable2 div is on top of the two side images in #maintable2.

Hello,

I have an odd problem.

I do some websites as a hobbie so I'm no expert.

I have created several sites using css with a linked stylesheet and never had a problem using:

link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css" type="text/css"

Today I opened Homesite (old version 4.5) for the first time in a few months and began a new project. My problem is, I can't seem to get the stylesheet to work when linked. If I use it inline or in the head tag it works, just not linked. I'm using the same code I have always used. I even copied from other working pages to be sure I'm not missing something.

I have also opened several other existing projects stored locally and they work fine. Just nothing I code now will work.

I must be overlooking something simple.
