CSS - Inline Select Box And Text

How can i use text-align with inline? So it doesn't line break after, but when you use display:inline with it, it takes away the text-ailgn.

Hey everybody,

First off I'll show you the page I'm referring to he http://jordanmeeter.com/creativity/design/flower/ What I want to do is take a "preview" of that image and make it 50x50 or so... And put it to the left of the description and have the text go around it. How would I do this with CSS? I think the word I'm looking for is I want it "inline" with the text.

a div works with this style, but a span does not. i want part to be left (defalut by the css file style applied), and then the inline span style to be to the right. not working:

I might be silly to use a template that I did on illustrator (with all the banner, boxes and navbar read and just use that as my container background. then I made some transparent boxes for puting in text, images or form elements. Is that why I am not able to select any other those things on the site?

this is the first time I try using css to make the whole webpage, so I would appreciate any guidance...thanks!!

PROBLEM: I create a nice button using the sliding doors technique for rounded corners. But the button displays with 100% width unless I float it. My layout requires that the buttons be inline with the text, so floating won't work. Anyone know an alternative?

I wouldn't mind floating but I want the button to show inline with the text. When I use float:left, it removes it from the inline flow.

Basically, I want a very modular button that can be used in several different places on a page. In many cases, floating is fine because the mockup has it out of the inline text, but I want to use it there, too.
