CSS - Replacing Html Code
How could I make <div class="code"> replace HTML code to it's text equivalent? Like, < to <? Is there any CSS way to do it? And if not, how could I possibly go about doing it?

I am pretty much of a CSS novice. No matter what I do, the default bullet is displaying. Sometimes, in the CSS stylesheet, I can have a graphic show up, but the regular bullet is showing as well. I want to make a separate bullet that I can use just on certain pages. It's on the home page of invisibleillnessdocfinder dot com I don't see anywhere to upload the style sheet to show the code. There is a template, so even though I'm putting "List-style=none" the default tiny bullet shows up. I'll be glad to email the stylesheet to anyone who can help. I have had so much luck using Code: <DIV> <ul> <li>Image Text</li> <li>Image Text</li> </ul> The problem with this is the text doesn't display properly - It either displays underneath the image, or if I use "vertical-align:text-top", it aligns the top line of the text to the top of the image and then displays the rest of the text underneath the image. The thing she likes the most is the fact that the content is centered horizontally and vertically in the browser window. The way they (her competition) have constructed the site is to to place all the content inside a table 100% wide and 100% high with the content centered horizontally and vertically using the table's valign and align attributes. However, this isn't very "standards", is it . . . so, does anyone know of a way this same effect (content centered horizontally and vertically in browser window) can be acheived using CSS? Thanks! I know I am making a mistake asking for help on a late Friday evening, but still hope... I have a website which has several "positions" and inside each position are several "modules". The positions are just where they are located on the page, and the modules are just small blocks of HTML that display something within a given position. I wish to use multiple CSS files to vary the location of the positions and also either arrange the modules horizontally or vertically. My question relates to arranging the modules within a given position. My original plan was to create a DIV with a unique ID for each position. I would then include each module within another DIV with an associated class. Hi there, I've read that for using decorative images in web design its preferred that you apply them as background images instead of using the <img> tag, as using the <img> tag stops the page from displaying until all the images have fully loaded in the browser, where as using a css background image will output the page completely, then start to load in the images (users can start reading the text whilst the images load in). I was just wondering really if anyone else has used this method and gone to the extreme measure if replacing all <img> tags with css background images to dramatically improve their page load speeds? I'd be very interested in anyones thoughts Hi, I would like to make a html 'button' tag of 'submit' type look and behave like a html hyperlink. (For those who would be curious, the reason is that I want to pass a variable to the target script, using the post method rather than appending a name-value pair to the hyperlink url, while keeping a conventional presentation. In the end, it should make the passed variable less visible for the end user, except of course if they look at the source code and look for a hidden input). I considered to use the CSS2 system colors codes, but I did not find a code for hyperlink, and anyway, system colors will be deprecated in CSS3, so it is no good idea if I want to make my pages portable in the far future. I tried to use the appearance property from CSS3, but it does not seem to be wel implemented yet in current browsers. For now, I just styled my html button, removing border, and setting the background and foreground colors to something similar to an hyperlink, but then I have no guarantee that this will match the actual look & feel in the end user's browser. It works great on every browser except ie7. The 3 big icons do not appear in a row but one below another, and the 4 boxes on the bottom cannot be displayed.
