HTML - I Want To - Click Thumbnails And A Larger Image Is Shown In My Ebay Advert

I am designing my new eBay advert in html using Dreamweaver CS3 I have designed many stuff in this that is pretty basic, and use the design view. I want to develop my ads this year from a static looking page to a more advanced page. Schuh do something similar to what I am after and I can't search the forums because I have no idea what it is called that I would like to do. Here is a link to their advert.. Basically upload pictures to photobucket and paste the HTML link into the template. update the description and upload it to eBay. I am looking to add an image gallery ( thumbnails and once clicked or moused over they enlarge in a big window above or below them) but I am not good with HTML at all. I found some free source code on the net but I don't know how to integrate it into my template or even know if it can be done. I tried using the image gallery that is built into front page and it seems ok when in the normal mode but when I switch to preview the pictures are gone and I receive script errors. when I look at the source it is pointing to a file on my C: drive instead of the images in photobucket. I have no idea how HTML works but it seems that the source should point to a file or files on a website because it can't pull images from my hard drive once it's uploaded to ebay. i plan to take some classes on HTML to learn more but in the meantime your help is appreciated. I then want the customer to be able to hover over or click the thumbnails and have the thumbnail become the 'big' image. What's the 'most compatible' way of doing this? Hi all, I am attempting to rework a training guide that includes lots of screen caps. The guide is currently in word format, but is too big now and all the full size screen caps make the guide difficult to read. I had intended to re-do the guide in HTML format so it can be viewed in a browser using maybe CSS to enlarge the thumbnails on mouse rollover. This would make the guide alot smaller, more functional and easier to read. With this being a training guide though, it will also need to be printed for new staff, so my question is... Is it possible to add some HTML/Java code that will see the thumbnail images printed as the orginal sized image rather than the thumbnail itself? The button that I am trying to click is within an iframe so I cant use any sort of javascript to click it. The click must be real and not faken. Iframe containing button ----> Image over it Is there anyway I can setup the image so I would be able to click thru it (add transparency setting or something like that)? The image must remain visible but I want to be able to click the button that is under it. Hello guys, I was wondering if anyone is aware of a script that does this: You have an image on your website. When you click on the image a box should appear where you can insert your email and send the photo to your email. Anyone aware of something like that? Thanks a lot! I can't figure out how to script an image so that it slides to another area on the page when clicked on. For example, a logo that appears in the center of a blank page (vertical-align: middle), but when clicked slides smoothly to the top (vertical-align: top). Alternatively, it could be that clicking the image changes the vertical-align property of the entire table or cell. Either way, I can't figure out how to do this with a smooth animation. A fantastic example of this--where I got the idea, in fact--is the front page of tumblr.com, where clicking "Log in" smoothly slides the tumblr logo from the top of the page to the center. How is this done? I'm sorry if the solution is mind-bogglingly simple, I'm kind of a noob. But I've racked the web and I can't seem to find a script that does this. Can somebody please help? Thanks Hi, i had an existing ad that I made with turbolister, i tried a template and added two pictures and a background, i accidently deleted the pictures off my computer and messed it all up. So i restored everything back and it is still missing on ebay. i should tell you that i was not using a online host just my computer to store the pictures, it seemed to be working fine until being the doo doo i am messed it all up. So i tried again and once it gets online its not showing the pictures. The backgrounds are there but not the pictures. I am so lost. Please any help would be appreciated. The backgrounds are also only stored on my computer but remain online in the listing. Its just the pictures that I am having problems with, maybe it is impossible to be offline and only have your computer as the host??? Not sure. You html people are amazing it is soooooo confusing. Unfortunately I can't seem to get all the table boxes to lineup, e.g. - payment and delivery are in two columns side by side but unfortunately they misalign when you view them in Firefox and IE. HTML is not one of my strengths, so if we could get a little help it would be greatly appreciated. At the top of our template it shows our feedback number as well as several icons such as "top rated seller", about me, store icon, etc. This feedback number should change when we get a new feedback, it does not. I know its probably not possible but I do recall a site that encrypted the html code. I appreciated that the advanced users out there would probably get past anything but its the one's who simply copy and paste onto frontpage that I want to protect from. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers Al Hi, I have put together a HTML page in Dreamweaver for Mac to act as a listing page to sell on Ebay. When I copy this into the description box in Ebay the page appears well ove the Ebay boundaries. There appears to be a specific area within which your description must appear but I can't make it fit. I've tried removing the 'head' and 'body' tags as an Ebay guide says that these are automatically input for you but that then removes my page formatting, fonts, image placement, etc. Does anyone know if there is a specific code that you need to put in to your listing to make it fit the page or if there is anything else im supposed to be doing. Please help!!! |
