HTML - Drop Down Menu In A Frame
I am having trouble with a website I am creating for my local pool league.
the problem is that I am going to have a lot of pages in the website and obviously dont want to have to edit every page individually if I change the menu. To combat this I have tried using a frame with the menu inside and the content below but as it is a drop down menu, only a couple of the menu items appear without having to scroll the frame. Is there a way to combat this, perhaps even a different method to using a frame? I am definatly amature at best when working with HTML/Javascript so please be patient. I'm prototyping several possible ways to build a website that's targeted towards unsophisticated users here in Mexico, so an un-scrolling navigation menu would be very helpful. This is the code for a simple Frameset with a Suckerfish drop-down menu is in the top ("header") frame. (BTW Suckerfish is an elegant snippet of code, isn't it?) Z-index is no help. Finally they go over not under it, but only in IE7. They still dive under "main" in IE6 and Firefox. You can go to the website http://www.ajijiclimpio.org/frameset to see what I mean. Hover on the "about" menu item: it drops down fine in IE7; then take a look with Firefox. See what I mean? You can click on the Download Demo button at the bottom of the page on the website to get a zip of all the code. So, how do you get this working, hopefully in a compliant manner, in both IE and FF? Even if Framesets are not an ideal solution, it would be interesting to find the answer. Also, I hate being defeated by software quirks. Any ideas? I have a menu with coffie cup flash menu builder. And i have frames HTML. I know this question as be asked 10000 Times. How do i get the flash menu to go to my main frame page. It keeps opening in its own window a new window or taken up the hole window with out the frames. I know how to make a basic one, but this is what I need... I want to have 4 drop down menus, with about 4 choices in each one. Under them I need a 'Submit" button. It's at this point I want no action to take place when "go" is clicked. As it is now (above code) it refreshes current page. My question is how do I change this so that the first "option" has no action when chosen and then "go" is clicked. Im using Trellian web page to do some updating on our companies' website and they just asked me to make up a sort of parts catalog for our inventory we have here. Hi, Basically i have an index page with two frame, a navigation frame for the top and a main frame for the information, i have a drop down menu in the navigation frame. But the problem is, the drop down menu cant all bee seen when it drops over the main frame. Does anyone know a solution to this problem, i tried using an Iframe instead of normal frames, but that leaves a big gap between the end of the drop down menu and the start of the information. I have also tried using the <div> tags this also didnt help, i was wondering if there is a way to set the order in which the frames are displayed,so the navigation frame is displayed over the main frame.
