HTML - Help With Text Positioning
Can someone please help me position my text entitled "Latest News..." not all the way left but not center, I would like it aligned with the main picture on the site. I have uploaded two pictures, one showing the way I would like it to appear and the other showing how it is incorrectly displayed. From my site http://www.trillionaireme.com
Similar TutorialsHello Kindly help me ..... as shown in the picture i want to move the text from the right side of the images to the bottom of it how? I've placed some images on this page: http://gmjones.org/Employments.html I added text under the two images on the left by trial and error, as a result, the look out of place! What's the proper way to add text under a separately placed image via the html coding? Thanks in advance. Hello i have a simple site with a background color, and image and a scrolling text box. What is the appropriate code to position the box using the image as the reference point, not the corner of the screen so the text always goes to the same spot on the screen. Code: <div align="center"><img src="EA-vendorapplicationimage.jpg" alt="Eclectic Affinity Vendor Information Form - Become an Eclectic Affinity WHole Sale Vendor" align="absmiddle"></div> <body> <div class="ss-base-body" dir="ltr"> <div style=" overflow:auto; position:absolute; height:509px; width: 698px; top:172px; left:241px;"> The code above works to keep the box in one location, but that location is from the top left of the screen which is only useful if everyone used the same screen. Thanks Hi, I usually use frames to split my pages into sections. No problem the But you can think that having a page with over 25 frames defined in the HTML code is quite confusing at times. I wanted to ask if and how it is possible to position an image/paragraph/table/etc. at exact pixel-coordinates. My example: I want to place an image at (50px|50px) and a table at (200px|100px) Thanks in advance.... PS: (x|y) I'm very new to html and have just started making a website in dreamweaver to build a digital portfolio of design work. The problem is, is that I need my navigation text to be in an exact part of the page (it fills in a section with the table background). When I started making the site it displayed fine in firefox and safari, but not in a few versions of IE I tried. I'm sure there's a solution for this and if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. I've included a link to a test page so you can see what I mean: http://www.digitodd.net/aurora.html Thanks I have several websites that I maintain and update. A lot of them are just textual changes and I would think my customers can do these themselves by editing a simple .txt file. I was hoping my choices are avalable so that I can just insert this tag into my web pages and then give them login info to their edit page or show them how to upload the .txt file. I hope this is an easy one with several answers. Is it possible these tags could discipline your rankings in the search engines? Thanks, Jason Hi All, I am new to this forum and is expecting an answer for this question. I have implemented a facebook type search to the database which displays the familiar text saved in the database when I type some text in the database. My issue is after I have used the search box for a couple of time the text box starts displaying a similar dropdown from its history which hides my database search. Does anyone know how to disable it using html or css. See the attached Image if my question is not clear. http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1306715905 here is the (ineffective) code currently: <img style="float: left; width: 169px; height: 73px;" src="img/logo1.png" alt="" /> <h1 style="text-align: center;">random text</h1> the image shifts the left margin such that the text is centered as though the page width was 169px less than it really is. i'm not debating the code itself; the code above behaves as its meant to. aka no surprises. i just cant figure out the appropriate code to center the text across the entire real width of the page as though there was no image. i've tried div tags & all the things google hunting advised. no luck. other than finding this forum, which seems like it'll be a boon! thanx in advance for advise/comments/feedback/help. i have a lot of text files(2-400) all have quite alot of text inside them so is there some software that can help me convert it all into html pages?? somthing that i am doing right now is: copied all of my text files pasted them into other location and editing each file and giving extention html/htm. now can u tell somthing better?? all the files will open in same frame(obviously one at a time), all have styling n everything same. Hopefully it makes sense. http://www.trillionaireme.com I believe this is a HTML problem: Old site: http://www.ardmoreweatherlive.com/ . Old site CSS: http://www.ardmoreweatherlive.com/weather-screen.css New site: http://www.ardmoreweatherlive.com/test3.php New CSS: http://www.ardmoreweatherlive.com/weather-screen2.css I am trying to get rid of the old left side menu and maybe get the page to float in the center with, I think padding(?) around the edges. I really thank everyone for the help, Doug Hi, I can't seem to get these images to center after using position:fixed on them. Here's the code I have: Code: <html> <head> </head> <body> <div style="position: fixed; top: 0px;"> <img src="top.jpg"> </div> <div align="center"> <table width="1025" bgcolor="gray"> <tr> <td> <middle text> </td> </tr> </table> </div> <div style="position: fixed; bottom: 0px;"> <center><img src="bottom.jpg"></center> </div> </body> </html> You can view my site at www.palermostaging.com. It appears fine in IE but in firefox, the alignment is thrown off a little, I think the orange column is too tall. How can I fix this without changing the text size or placement? Any suggestions are appreciated, source is viewable on the page. Thanks, Anders Hi, Would some be able to help me with the layout of my page? I want it to look like this and this is what it looks like now. I don't want to do it using borders but I can't seem to figure it out using positioning. Anyone able to help? CSS Page Regards, Darren Hello again, Guys! I have a tiny HTML / CSS problem, which i'm not being able to solve. I have the following webpage set up; http://www.myhrensolutions.net/workpappa/index.html With the following CSS file; http://www.myhrensolutions.net/workpappa/index.css What i'd like to accomplish, is to make another Div, that would emplace in the middle, like shown on this pictu http://i56.tinypic.com/2cf62bn.png How i did try to solve this, was to create a new div right after the opening of the mainbody div, and then add the margin values to it, but it just made the whole page flip out of alignment (some elements were skewed further down the site etc.) Could you guys please help me? Thank you! 1st i would like to say thank you to all those who have helped me over the last 10 days or so, i know ive really been annoying considering some posts were i suppose unnecessary, so i apologize... 2nd this will be my last annoying post for a while once i get this done im pretty much getting ready to go public after a few updates as far as text material... so heres the issue... im using this code below... now what im trying to do is overlay my image so it appears in the center of the other image but using top: 70px; left 275: px; its not going to be the same depending on how big your screen is and how big your explorer window is set to... so im wondering does any1 know anyway i can get that image to appear dead center regardless of user screen size? <center> <img src = "Best-1.gif" style="position: absolute; top: 70px; left: 275px; "> <img src="banner-top.JPG" width="100%" height="150" /> </center> you can see the results on http://www.freewebs.com/fallingrain11/22.html Hi guys. Sorry if I'm inconveniencing you, but I have a really big problem that I can't work out. http://automata.firephoenixnet.com/design/ Could you take a look at that in Firefox and then in IE? Did I miss a margin or something? And, is there a way I can get my footer div always at the bottom of the page without setting a margin-bottom for the sidebar div? Many thanks guys. |
