HTML - Flash Appearing Locally But Not On Server :( Xhtml!
Hi, i am getting some problems on the page as locally on my computer, both flash appear perfectly. However, it doesnt display when i have uploaded to server.
This is the what appears on server: This is what appear locally Some information: The advertising has a link on it so you can click it and it takes you to a website. Secondly, when ever i open it up in local, this is what i get: Maybe this is the problem as when i click OK, i can click on the link normally. The link to the index page works but not the others. The people at fatcow where completely useless and just kept saying it was a scripting issue. however, if it were a scripting issue it wouldn't work locally. Any insight? Hi, i am studying in 10th grade in India. My computer science teacher has asked me and my classmates to design a website in html using forms and CSS. I have created one with help of frontpage 2003. It contains a user registeration form. I just want to give my teacher a surprise by saving the data entered in forms to a file on the computer. Please give the codings to do so. I am creating a prototype of a website on a local cdrive that will be installed on thousands of other computers, also on their crive. As such, thanks to SP2, there are warnings that come up when the home page of this site is opened up (yellow bar at top, several clickthroughs that you have to click on). I installed the .... `fix' which was to add to the top of the page a `Mark of the Web' which was to add this line of code <!-- saved from url=(0013)about:internet --> as the very first line. Intial problem was solved, this page now opens without any warnings ! HOWEVER A NEW PROBLEM WAS CREATED! Once on this page, any subsequent links to pdfs do not work AT ALL! Question: how can I stop the error messages and maintain full functionality to provide links to pdfs? Hi, I've decided to use subdirectories and index.html files to present my all my web pages (www.website.com/about, with a index.html file within the about folder). But I am finding it difficult to view my website locally when editing, as I open it in either firefox, safari, opera and every time time I hit a link it doesn't direct me to the index.html file, but instead shows me every file located within the directory. Is there anyway round this, as I am having to upload every page to view the changes I make to it. For example, do you know of any extensions or different web browsers that don't do this? Can anyone help me to make sure the flash displays right? what happens is the player loader displays at the top instead of the center and the control buttons are present before it loads. then after the loader fails it shows a "cannot connect" error. so I think the flash object is resizing inside its self. can anyone help me clean up this script so it will display correctly in iPhone safari (with flash enabled)? website is he smalldotdesign.zxq.net/iSwim.html that is where the HTML file is located that I am trying to get corrected. thanks in advance. i have a feeling this is going to be a tough fix. I've been creating a site for awhile now, with many images. I've uploaded all the images to the server, but some of them still aren't showing up. I've checked and rechecked my paths, links, that the images are uploaded, etc. and I can't figure it out. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason on images showing up or not. It works fine in FF but not in IE. I made sure the name was "favicon.ico". I tried clearing my cache and readding the bookmark. None of them seems to work. Can anyone give any suggestions as to why it is not working? If there are HTML errors on the page or if the image size is too big would that prevent it from working. If that is so then why would it work in FF? Also does it have to be in the root folder or in the same folder as the page for IE? I'm working on adapting a we-based system called OTRS (open ticket request system) for our offices here and I've just finished modifying all the headers and css and stuff for our needs. Now, I did it in Firefox and I'm brand spanking new to this game so when one of the header logos didn't appear in IE7, it took me about an hour to figure out maybe it was IE7 that was the problem, and it turns out it is... so would someone mind having a look at this below? It's very basic, but what's happening is that the picture 'HeaderCropped' isn't displaying, the border outlines don't even show, only that funny little graphic that appears when a picture is missing ( I don't know what it's called). Obviously I'd like to be able to see the picture in both FF and IE7, but will this take a major overhaul of this code? (It took me quite a while to do this little bit!) Hi all - I've got a DIV on this site which needs to scroll horizontally. It was previously working, and then I messed around with the code and the scroll bar stopped working ... and now I can't get it back again.
