On a site I am making there's a table which -- only in the IE-s including version 7 -- is not properly displayed: the column containing the text is only approx. half filled in width. Most (not to say all) other browsers get this right... Anyone got an idea, why this could be? Thx and best, T Hey guys this is my first post and my first question ^^ Lets say I have a table with one row and two cells. Is it possible for the data in the second cell to appear first in code? Why you may ask, because we whant the text in the second cell to be picked up by spiders first. Thanks. Well, I am new to HTML and I would just like to say that I appreciate anyone who takes their time to busy themselves with my concerns. I have a simple problem that I am not sure how to fix. My problem is that in all the tables I create, the first row of the table (the titles) are all centered, but pushed a bit to the left. I use the the text align center and <center> tags and it works on everything except the table titles, which are centered, but a bit to the left. It is fairly noticeable and is extremely annoying. Can someone try helping me out? Thanks. -fenzo666 Im hoping someone can help me out on this one im just getting back into coding so im a little rusty but i am somewhat stumped by this issue i have a table that the text refuses to align to top middle unless its divided up into a new cell. The best it will do is align middle left of the cell but refuses to go to the top. The site that it is on with the issue is www.gamersjoy.com the table in question is the center table with updates, as you can see everything is pushed halfway down and aligned to the left Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is slowing me down from finishing my project thanks in advance Tcanuth I apologize if it is improper protocol to post a link rather than the actual code but since View>Source exists for seeing both the html and css code and there is a fair amount of code...here is the link: http://nicolemuller.com/IMS/FINAL/ne...al/signin.html I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I cant get all the elements in the 2 rows to align and center with the rule of the menu strip. Any help would be great-thanks! Hi, I'm new to HTML. I have not yet started using CSS. I'm just using basic html. I'm having problem creating a nested table as shown in the attachment without using CSS style sheets. I appreciate anyone's suggestions in this. I pasted the code that tried below. <h3> 5) - Nested Table </h3> <table align="left" width="350" bgcolor="#ffff00" border="1"> <tr height="75" align="left"> <td height="100" > </td> <td height="75"> test2 </td> <td height="75"> </td> </tr> <clear="left" /> <tr> <td> <table align="left" bgcolor="f5f5dc" border="1"> <tr> <td width="100%" height="75"> a nested table </td> <td width="100%" height="75"> With this text at the top </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="100%" height="75"> </td> <td width="100%" height="75"> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr height="75" align="left"> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> </tr> </table> Thanks in advance Hey, I'm trying to set something so simple as the TD width for 1 specific column, but it will NOT listen to me! http://www.unreal-deals.com/ebook/ad...i-showdata.php I've set the td width on the second column Item_Name to be 5000px, just to see if it would work. It does nothing. No matter if I set the table width to 100% or 300%, setting the TD width does not affect that TD... What am I missing here? Thanks I recently finished creating this html/css layout design. It's been put together with the use of tables, and is valid CSS and XHTML 1.0. However it just won't seem to show up correctly in any browser other than Internet Explorer. What is up!? Can someone please check my code over and help me out? I need to have this done by tomorrow and am totally lost! Thanks in advance! Here's the URL: http://barrel-house.ca/test/ I'm helping a friend build a site to sell textbooks, and the system that he's going to implement involves an "Order" page wherein you enter (or select) a five-digit class code for, say, five different classes. What I want to know how to do is, once someone has their classes all selected and hits the "order" button, that they are given an invoice for the amount of the books needed for those classes. So, essentially, I need to figure out a way to tie each of these five-digit class codes to a certain price which will be given to the customer to complete the order right there on the site. The old model had used a method wherein a list of the classes would be sent to my friend, who would then figure the cost and call the customer back with the total. I apologize if none of this is making sense. If not, please let me know what it is that's confusing so I may clarify. Hi everyone, below is my Paypal html order form. Each button is made from 'div'. When button is in release state (not pressed), the border-style of its div must be "outset". When button is in actioned state (pressed), the border-style of its div must be "inset". The code for release state may be: -------------------------- <a href="index.html"> <div id="menuHome" style="position:absolute; left:0px;top:0px;width:150px;height:20px; background-color:#FF6600; border-styleutset; border-color: #FF6600; border-width:3px;" align="center">Home </div> </a> -------------------------- The 'menuHome' is the button for home link and I make the link to this div and so on. Hi guys I want to build a simple HTML site on WordPress but I don't want to use the templates they offer there. I also want to add java script effects. Or is there a way to modify the design of big areas in case I do use a custom template? Square should be like 18x18px with nothing inside - just thin black border (1px). Let me know if there is any way which won't be <table... Thanks in advance!
