HTML - Opening Lightbox2 Images From Iframe To Parent Page..
I'm new to scripting and tried over and over to make it work please help : ) the link in question is the facility page... the image icons when clicked i need it to open in the parent page.
the page is www.laineross.com/clients/trans the other page is http://www.laineross.com/clients/tra.../facility.html Similar TutorialsOn my site, I'm using a host with limited bandwidth, and only so much data can be transferred per month. (it's free). So instead of having the users re-load everything each time they open a new page, I designed the website around an iframe, so when links are clicked, the content changes, and all the large pictures don't need to be re-loaded. Now, my problem. On my index.html page i have an iframe. That iframe loads the content for my site from links on that page. Okay, so say that, in one of my content pages (in the iframe) has a link in it.. and what that link is supposed to do is to go to another page, with an iframe in it, and open itself, in that page.. so it's like a reverse link kinda.. instead of the iframe changing, the rest of the site changes.. or at least the iframe is moved to a new page... I need to know how to do this, it would help out alot with my bandwidth, and would just be alot easier. I was planing on doing this with multiple 'content' pages, and have the second page (the one that the iframe is moved to) stay the same. It would also help if i were to update the design of the site. So instead of updating a thousand pages, I'd only have to update about 4. I know there's other solutions to my updating problem, but i can't do that on a free host... and this is simpler for me.. It would be even better, if, when my 'content' page was loaded, but not in the iframe, the non-framed page would be re-directed to the framed page, this way i could easily add a site search to my web site.. I am using iframe on one of my webpages and it contains links to other webpages on my site. Currently when I click on one of those links it opens the new page inside the iframe I declared. I would like it to open on the full page in the browser, like a common link would and not open a whole tab either. I hope this makes sense. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! i have a site where there is an iframe. The iframe loads a page from another website which has links on it. when a person clicks on a link, it loads the next page within the iframe which is ok. This next page it load also contains links and when a person clicks one of these things, it then loads a checkout page within the iframe which is not so good at all as this page is secure, but because it exists within the iframe now, it wont show as secure to people viewing it. I would like to know how i can have the links from the next page mentioned load in a new tab or browser window so that the secure checkout page is now on its own and the https and secure padlock show to the user. Any help is greatly appreciate! I'm re-styling a website I've build for people at work. It contains a header (or title) DIV, a menu DIV and a so-called InfoCell DIV (which is nothing more then a DIV containing an iframe that shows the requested page from the menu). The problem is that the iframe always resizes to a minimum size and can not show the requested page entirely. (see here) I want the iframe to resize to the InfoCell DIV which will in turn resize to the browser's viewing window (like the rest of the page does). (remark: the office uses IE6 atm cause upgrading to 8 or using a different browser appears to be a problem for some web-applications used at the office) I've tried JavaScripts, I've tryed adjusting CSS settings, but I can't get the iframe to resize itself to the size of its parent DIV. I can make the iframe fit the full size of the InfoCell DIV when I use fixed width and height in the css. But this cancels the ability of resizing the browser window to the user's liking. The parent DIV does resize when I resize the browser window, as do the menu and title DIVs. The XHTML code: Code: <div class="title"> Servicedesk ICT Web Application Portal </div> <div class="menu"> ...code for menu items... </div ... <div class="infocell"> <iframe src="http://rsdweb.info.uwv.nl/servicedeskrsdweb/" name="info" id="infoframe" /> </div> the CSS code: Code: div.infocell { margin:4px; padding:2px; border:1px solid #e0e0e0; background:#c3c3c3; overflow:auto; } div.infocell iframe { margin:0; border:none; } Any tips/tricks on how to make the iframe always fit 100% in its parent DIV? (so resizing the browser window will resize the DIV and the Iframe in turn). thnx Hello dear forum, This is a big one, and I need some serious help. Have been trying to figure this one by myself, but I just couldn't, so I hope that you can help! Let me explain: I have a page with a Header/Menu which is a simple table, and an Iframe (frmMain) with some content. Here's what I need to do: onLoad & onResize the frmMain should get re-sized The main scrollbar on the page/window should scroll the frmMain content Re-size: The header should always stay 45px in height, but the frmMain should re-size to fill out the page vertically. Scroll: The scroll-bar on the main window/page should scroll the content of the frmMain of necessary. I have made an illustration to try explain my problem: Let me set up what my site looks like first, then I'll delve into the question. My site has frames, top frame, left frame, and a main frame. The left frame contains numerous thumbnail images that I want the user to click on and get a larger version of said image inside the main frame. The problem I'm having is I have to create a separate html page for each (larger)image (and it has become incredibly tedious), instead of just having a main.html with some sort of way of opening multiple (not more then one image at a time, but have an image replace the previous one when a new thumbnail is clicked) images inside of it. How can I do this? Would I use a div or what? I'm just learning so any help would be great. If I haven't explained well enough, I'll be happy to restate the question if you wish. Please help ! ) I posted previously about these files. I have sorted the table and the images on the 2nd file - but now I have a new problem. When I select the gallery from the index, it loads gallery.htm. I have created a new file called 2gallery.htm with new images. However there is some code which causes the second page of the gallery (2gallery.htm) to open for only a couple of seconds and then the site returns to the index. The same applies when I try to directly navigate to any of the pages. Can anyone identify where this is and how I can make 2gallery work as I have several other pages to ad. I've attached the index, gallery and 2gallery. I have also included the image for the "more" button at the bottom of gallery. I haven't included any of the images of the gallery however. Regards, John Not sure if the title of the thread describes what I need... I want to create a simple web page with a title, menu and content parts as shown below... I was thinking of using a table and place all of these parts in different cells of the table, merging the top two rows for the logo. The question I have is how to open the links in the menu cell of the table, so that they would open inside the content cell of the table without having html code for menus and title on each page? Thanx in advance I am having issues with a flash intro and decided to try and just place it on a separate page when visiting my father's website - www.raymorteam.com. So I took all of the code currently on his homepage and created a copy of the page - http://www.raymorteam.com/files/35241/Main_Page.html However, I only want the copy page to show www.raymorteam.com in the addressbar. How do I go about doing this? I've seen it at www.ch131.com. Take a look at that page - any link you click will only show the parent web address in the address bar. I want my father's page to do that for this specific page. Thanks. I have plain HTML on the main page and <iFrame> tag on it, inside tag i have URL to other page that using some script that forces host page to reload and show page from frame instead of it. Can i somehow stop it from messing my entire main page? how do you make an inline fame that does not have scroll bars but resizes the parent page to allow the whole child page to fit in the parent Hello all, i have no idea on HTML code attall, and i sometimes use frontpage, about all i know how to do is type text. well, lets start this from the beginning, my friend has made a game stats thing that runs on cgi, and it is running he http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bin/prsstats?page=1 his instructions say Quote: <address>/prsstats?page=<page number>&filter=<filter> Page number: 0=Players, 1=Maps, 2=Player TopTimes, 3=TopTimes Rank. Filter is ignored for the page number 3. so http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bin/prsstats?page=1 is a 100 map list with top3 times for each map listed. http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bi...page=2&filter=[PHS]Dan[AU] is a list of my toptimes on all the maps that i hold toptimes for. http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bin/prsstats?page=3 is a link to players names with top times. now, the code i have got so far is basically, i want the boxes at the top to change the url of the iframe that contains the stats. the box on the left changes the ?page=<number> the box on the right changes the &filer=<name> and then reloads the iframe with the new address when the Go! button is clicked. how the hell do i link it all up. (BTW, i didnt write any of that code, i just copy'd it from everywhere) Code: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>PRS Stats 1.0</TITLE> <LINK HREF="http://files.potholestudios.com/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> </HEAD> <BODY BGCOLOR="#F2F1ED" TEXT="#000000"> <CENTER> <FORM METHOD=POST ACTION=http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bin/prsstats> <TABLE> <TR><TD><B>View</B></TD><TD><SELECT NAME="SEL_FLD"><OPTION VALUE="0" SELECTED>Players</OPTION><OPTION VALUE="1" >Maps</OPTION><OPTION VALUE="2" >Player TopTimes</OPTION><OPTION VALUE="3" >TopTimes Rank</OPTION></SELECT></TD><TD><B>Filter</B> </TD><TD><INPUT NAME="VAL" TYPE=TEXT VALUE="" SIZE=30 MAXLENGTH=20></TD><TD><INPUT NAME="EXECUTE" TYPE=submit SIZE=20 VALUE="Go!"></TD></TR> </TABLE> </FORM> <HR> <iframe src="http://www.potholestudios.com/cgi-bin/prsstats?" width="100%" height="800"></iframe> </BODY> </HTML> Hello, firstly i want to say I'm aware of peoples opinions on iframes and this topic isn't to discuss how inefficient/whatever they are, so please don't post anything about it. I was wondering if there's any way to make it so when an iframe loads it automatically scrolls to the bottom? Thanks. Hey been looking around for an example on how to get an Iframe to load at the bottom of a page and not move, just a small Iframe, like 25px in height and 100% width, Ive got a page which scrolls news and I didnt want it to reload every time the user clicked on another page. I dont want it to be at the bottom of the content on the page, but on the bottom of the actual browser window if that makes sense Any suggestions would be great thanks Hi, In a site that I am developing, the client wanted some behaviour that I could only accomplish with an iframe. Is there a way to prevent the inner page (the page source of the iframe) from being accessed alone? The solution must be some kind of javascript, because it SHOULD be accessed by web crawlers. Thanks Claudia I'm a quite new web designer. And i have some amateur questions, which im quit sure of that you can answer I have this website: http://www.game-portfolio.nl/ The index.html works with the table and content. But when i click on home.html it turns white. I have made an style.css and frame.css cause i'm working with frames. Anyone can answer this question on how to fix this white page into a colouring table. |
