HTML - Tumblr Theme Help, Div Not Displaying
Basically, I have created this theme http://rmlewisuk.tumblr.com which works fine on a blog with many posts, but when I install the theme on a blog with no posts, only the header shows. The sidebar and footer do not.

Does anyone know the reason for this and how I might go about fixing it? Thanks in advance. Similar TutorialsI am using Fusels Heart In A Cage theme for my tumblr blog. I decided to put a custom header image on top of where my posts go and my sidebar. You can see my problem he http://mainichi-melonpan.tumblr.com/ My header image's (Harmony Dreams) width is longer than the body on the theme. Also, if you can see, there is a small gap in between the image and the body where the background is showing through. What do I need to look for in the HTML coding to change the height and width of the body to match my image? Or do I need to change the image instead? Thank you in advance for the help! Hello, I am trying to make it so my tumblr will show 5-10 photos of my latest "likes". I'm computer literate, both Mac and PC, but I know nothing of coding. I ashamed to say this, but nevertheless I'm willing to learn a little if any of you will hold my hand through some changes I'd like to make to my Tumblr theme. Here's a link to my Tumblr page. As you can see, it's a default theme. The list of things I'd like to do is a little jagged, but I really want all my pictures to have a limit to their size and how much space they can take up. Also, I'd to know how to remove the visual tags on the left hand side. As if that's not enough adding a display of how may "notes" (for those who are tumblr literate) my posts have. Font too. How do I even begin changing these things? There are no options in the simple customize pane displayed at the top. But, I can edit the HTML... so what do I do? Connor Flynn Hello everyone, I am trying to put a title in italics in a static page of my Tumblr blog, but Italics are not showing in Chrome or Mozilla. They do show in IE. When I save the text with <i> tags, they revert back to <em> automatically, and that doesn't seem to be triggering itals in the two browsers besides IE. Is there anything I could add to the theme code to make the <i> tags stick or to trigger itals in some way? So I've tried a couple themes for my blog on Tumblr.com and both themes I tried had "endless scrolling" and for some reason my videos are not displaying on these themes! In place of the videos it says "Flash player required" (The videos are uploaded with Tumblr's video uploader, the few videos I have from Vimeo show up, but they do not fit the layout properly) Is there anything I can do? I know the bare basics, and I was able to edit an existing theme to fit in some minor altercations, and I got it to where i wanted it except for ONE little detail. On the left sidebar, the two "lines" that are on the top and bottom of the text have a border. The theme's layout's preview shows no border (they blend flawlessly into the background) but when I installed the theme WITHOUT my changes, they were like that. How might I go about removing those borders? As far as I can tell, the HTML says border: none; where it is supposed to. Hello all, I am so stuck with customisation of my Tumblr account. Thanks for any help. Mark. Hi, I'm doing some tweaks to my tumblr layout, and I'm really, really bad at this. What I need help with is the image scaling. The layout has standard 550 width for images posted. However, this makes all images this width automatically. For photos that are bigger than 550 px it's fine, they can be made smaller, but I wish to remove the feature that makes smaller photos being scaled up. F.ex. if I post an image with 200 or 300 px width, I don't want it to be scaled up to 550 px, I want it to stay in it's original, smaller size. How can I do this? Please and Thank You! Hello! I've recently been setting up a tumblr for my online portfolio, and have encountered an issue that I haven't managed to resolve. I have two categories - design and photography. To add pieces of work to my portfolio, I upload an image to sum up that project. If it's just a photograph, it's fine that when it is clicked it just goes to that post through {Permalink}. But if someone clicks an image for design work, I want it to take them to a separate page with a bit more information. I've managed to get this to work with {LinkURL}. My problem is that I can only get them to work one at a time. I can either have the images redirecting to a specified page, or going to the actual post - not both, depending on the content type. I have enabled "click-through" on my design posts but this doesn't work with the above code. I have to change <a href="{Permalink}" class="box-caption"> to <a href="{LinkURL}" class="box-caption"> which obviously means that now the Permalink doesn't work. Hopefully that's a clear enough explanation! I'd be very grateful if anyone can help me resolve this Thanks! Hiya. I have been searching for a long time now and haven't come up with an answer.
