HTML - Readable/writable Text Field That Doesn't Erase After Closing
Ok, I'm working on a website and I need to put in a text field where someone can effectively leave "updates" and little notes. The site will be saved on a network and used by multiple computers so I'm hoping it can be done without have to make multiple CSS files. So far so good. Essentially I want one computer to be able to type in text and close the window. Then I want to be able to open it up on another computer and still see that text. So far all that's happened is the text resets to a blank field after it's closed, which I expected, I just don't know how to fix it lol
I'm using IE and not Firefox. Similar TutorialsIs it possible to set up a form so that the text that a person enters in a text line disappears when they hit the send button? That would make the text line instantly ready for the next entry, without the user having to erase the old entry first. Or do you need something like Javascript to do that? This web page has 3 things on it, when viewed: Choose A Transaction Transction Type and the button: Next And these things all have over an inch of space between them. Can you please help me close the gaps between the lines Choose A Transaction and Transaction Type. And can you please help me close the gap between Tansaction Type and "next" icon? Thank you. I have this form the user is ask to input a message and a number. I want to be able to add a line of text to the message, which the user can not delete. It works when I open the notepad code with the browser, but not when I try to update the site. I've called the column col1, and in the css have put col1 { text-align:right }. Any ideas why this doesn't work? The text-align:right does work if put it straight into all of the td's within that column. I've tried various alignments but I'm also limited by what I can do because when you convert from .psd to html the entire page is one form. It has a webserver which is hosting a page (login.html) the pages takes in login and password and lets you login into a console. The client just need a network access to reach the webserver. However, for audits / database i want to save the text entered into the username/password field into a file on my server machine. What i need to do?
