Thanks, James Similar TutorialsHi everyone, What is the code that i will have to enter to my website so mobile phones will be able to access it? Hi I'm a bit of a newbie to any kind of HTML codes Ive made a Test website so I can try out this piece of software that helps to create mobile web sites using HTML Here's the Website : http://82.45.130.37/atozcouriers/ftp...001/index.html Heres the HTML : http://www.2shared.com/document/XdlY...html?(Password :21) I am using notepad to edit as any web editor messes up the viewing of the website in a Mobile Browser The mobile Browser is Safari on iPad,iPhone or iPod touch My problem only happens on one page , the homepage. It aligns the main body to the right a bit and adds a line I've experimented a bit but as I'm a newbie I'd don't know what to do. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks keirjohnharry I need to create an HTML page for mobile devices that displays videos. Ideally, it needs to work with older phone browsers too, so I was hoping someone could help me with the following questions: 1. What doctype should I use (XHTML Basic 1.1?)? 2. What's the best way to embed the video in the HTML? 3. If the video can't be embedded, is it good practice to (also?) provide a link so the user can download the video to show in a separate video player application? 4. What video media type(s) are best supported in mobile devices? NB - I will be using Java to create the HTML, so if there's a need to get any request headers, etc. then I could do that in order to provide the best output according to the device. Thanks in advance, James I am writing an "external link exit page" where anytime a user clicks on an external link in my site, it navigates to a page exit.html that says something to the effect of: "Please note that you are leaving our website, and therefore we are not responsible for the content of the website you are about to visit." I was thinking of making the destination URL be a parameter, so for example a section of links on my website might look something like this:
Other Sites You Might Find Useful
Google
Yahoo!
weather.com
So in exit.html I have a parameter called url that needs to be decoded and placed in my HTML source. After I display the warning message I want to give the user the option to either go back or continue to the externall url.
You are now leaving our website. Please be advised that we are not responsible for the content of the website you are about to visit.

Are you sure you want to continue?
Yes! Continue to [URL parameter]
No! Cancel and go back
How do I do this? Thanks for your help hi everyone, Can anyone provide me canvas tutorials? I am keep to update more knowledge on html5 and its tags. If you can provide me related information. Thankyou. Heya peeps. I have a problem I'm trying to overcome as shown below (From another thread): I'm in the process of building a website where audio can be purchased and downloaded. I want each file to allow a preview, but would rather the preview occur on the same page, rather than load up a blank page with a quicktime plugin splodged in the middle. Is there a way of doing it? All I want is a basic play/pause/stop button. To control a piece of sound. It seems that I may be able to achieve this using HTML 5, but I'm worried that people won't be able to read it with there browsers. Am I mistaken? Thanks What is the reason that i cannot scroll my site left and right on smartphones ? Can any one help me how to design web for mobile. I design a web by Frontpage, look beautiful in PC but can not read in mobile. Thanks in advance Hello, Why cant i scroll my site on mobile smartphones ? www.muchmarketing.co.il thanks I'd like to write a cross-device mobile application/website. I tried to use this: "" in head although I don't understand how it works. It adjusts auto zoom level on mobile browsers. However what will be set to *px? What does it mean if there's "device-width" in place of *px I tried to make a form and I checked it out on WM, Symbian and IOS but each phone visualized other. How can I make this cross-platform? Please help! Balu314 (sry my english is poor) Looking for a hint on how to detect a mobile device and redirect to a mobile webpage. Also what would be the optimal width for a mobile website? Thanks, Dano i heard somewhere this is a war.. can I ask (not to familiar with html5) what about html5 encroaches on flash? what new elements/features? If it does compensate i know Jobbs will be pushing the hell out of it (html5) I was quite surprised to discover that a lot browsers are already starting to support HTML5... While the support isn't comprehensive, and it isn't universal - it does seem to at least work reasonably well - at least for those elements that are not tied to media: http://www.brucelawson.co.uk/2009/re...ml-5-wai-aria/ I'm already thinking about making use of HTML5 in new projects... I quite like the idea of
and other elements. Greetings, Can some one explain me the difference between HTML4 and HTML5? what is the content management system, and what are the benefits of CMS? Do you heard the word Joomla?
