HTML - Im Stuck: Image In Navbar Wont Load
ok, ive tested this several ways and im stuck, ive coded the PHP navbar pretty much the same as the HTML version of my site.. but in th PHP page it wont show.

Similar TutorialsHey guys I'm new here, as I found this forum on google. I've run across a little problem or big problem so to speak. I have coded my website and it will load in FF, but not Safari or IE. It had an php function wrong the other day, but I have since fixed that and now I just a white page. Here's a link to the site(don't mind the simple, crappy layout) http://s2roots.com/random/done/ Please any help would be great, this is a project due by Wed. I made an image in gimp, just a gradient from black to green to set as the background for my website. For some reason when I test it, everything shows up fine. When I upload it to the server and point my browser to the website the background wont show up. Tried it in IE, firefox, and chrome. For all you curious about how I set it up this is in my css style sheet. Code:

As you can see, I saved it as a jpg and it's in a folder labled images, pretty sure the code is right because it will show perfectly when I test it. Any ideas? Thanks. i recently uploaded a holding page to a web address (www.nataliejwatts.com). all it is is an swf file on a html document. its fine when i view it in safari or firefox but apparently on pcs and internet explorer it isnt working. i was told the problem with this: "You cant see it because there is a Java Script error on the opening page whihc is preventing what looks like a flash window from opening and running what I can only assume to be the intro. Hi, I am trying to figure out why my background image is not showing up on my header... my website is http://www.mytodostuff.com I created the image to be 900px by 100px, and it should fit perfectly in the header div...but its not. Does anybody know why? i put the pic in my assets folder, its called 'banner.jpg' Hi the website is showing up fine but there should be a repeater background image , and it doesnt show up in browser at all . I've set up an index page containing a number of thumbnail graphics. One of the images (the 12th) loads fine in IE7 and Safari, but not in Firefox 3 or Opera. Sometimes, one image on my page does not load. When it does not load the image in the <div> next to it is in its place, and next to that image there is a blank spot the size of the image that did not load. The part that really confuses me is that when I view that pages source the <img> tag is there with the name of the image. The name of the image is rather long, about 25 characters long. The first thing I am wondering is if a long file name might prevent the image from loading. I doubt it... but, I don't know what else to consider. Thank you ever so much. kama Is it possible with html? i've been working on a site but each time you click the next arrow a new page loads, all the text is in the same place so it doesn't move and is even in a fixed div but due to it being a new page everything loads, the text collapses until the larger image in the center loads. Of course this is fixed when the site is cached but of course the site would only be cached once someone has clicked through it and experienced the problems 27 times... so my question is is it possible to code for when i click the next arrow only a new image from a different link to load? is this possible with html? I there a way to speed up the load speed without reducing the clarity or detail of the image using either CSS or HTML? Right now the image is 2.2 MB, which is part of the problem. But when ever I shrink the size in gimp, the detail of the image is reduced.. Thanks! Hi, I want to add some flash to my header image on my website. Before i add the flash i was wondering if there was any code i could use to first check if flash is installed and if not for it to just ignore the flash and load the background image. The flash is just going to be an animation of my logo. Is there something i can do similar to when you use code to check for browser version? If the person has not got flash installed i don't want them to be promted to install it i just want it to load the static logo image which will be set as the background image behind the flash. For people with flash already installed i would like the flash annimation to load. Hello, I've downloaded the Extreme Gaming template and was pleased to find the the navigation bar had a PSD that was easy and simple to edit. However, I'm having problems integrating the edited navigation bar into my site. When I do, it seems to move around all the tables and leave black spaces everywhere. I'm not experienced enough at HTML to find the problem and fix it. I was hoping that maybe someone could do it for me or give me a few pointers at what I'm doing wrong. Here is mine: http://www.prizepappa.com In FireFox the onmouseover and onmouseout seem to be working fine but not in IE. There is a strange delay. And I can't seem to get my searchbar looking right. I am really new to this. Anyone think they could help me straighten out my code and css? Thanks |
