How can I insert a movie into a HTML document?

Similar TutorialsHello, I'm working on an internal training CD where I'm going to have several Quicktime videos and I need to categorize them by Chapter & Movie Title, similar to: Chapter 1 - Bananas Movie 1 Movie 2 Movie 3 Chapter 2 - Grapes Movie 4 Movie 5 Movie 6 Etc..... The end user would click on "Movie #". It should be easy enough, but there are two things I need. One - for the Microsoft Active Control warning to go away (not appear) as this will be run locally, and Two - for the movie file to run outside of the browser, or at least for the browser to not show any toolbars or menu options as the movie fills most of the screen. Any way to do this in HTML - something that is easy for me to make the links. I'll have probably a hundred or so movies to each of the CDs I'm compiling, so that's a lot of manual linking. Thanks... Thanks Hi everyone, I have a Flash movie embeded in HTML document and I'm using 100% width and height so that users can resize the flash to fit their screens. BUT on small screens (iBook 12") 1024 x 768 the movis is too small and unreadable. The Flash movie original size is 766 x 780. Is there a way to keep the resizing but to block it when it gets down to a ceratin size??? I would love to know the answer. Please any help would be gratefully recieved. Thanks for your time in advance, Martin Hi guys, first time poster, but this issue is really stumping me. I'm embedding a .swf movie that is a large banner. The thing is, it works on the index.html page, as well as the news.html page, but when I try using the same exact embed code on the sub-links of the site, it says "Movie not loaded.." and doesn't work. As you can see on http://www.hickorygp.com/ and the News page, http://hickorygp.com/news.html - both .swf movies work, as I used the same exact code from the index to the news page, yet when I use the same exact code again (copy and pasted) for an article of the News page he http://www.hickorygp.com/news/idd-4809.html the movie does not load.... I really don't understand whats going on, as, like I said earlier, I'm literally copy and pasting the same exact embed code that works on the index.html page and the news.html page. FYI, the overall goal is to re-design each news article from the news.html link to resemble the main page layout edit: I was looking at the ftp directory again, and it just came to the realization to me that the articles are stored in a separate folder, whereas the index.html and news.html is stored in the root. Shouldn't the source still work when it is directed at a file in the root even though its contained in a separate folder? I'm redesigning my own website and came up with some tricky situation. I write HTML lessons and I want to put just the pure code in my posts, but they appear as a regular html document... How do I make the code to be shown just as text (code), like we do in the forum boards (code tags or whatever)? I have to send someone a family tree chart converted from a no-text-wrap RTF file to an HTML file so they can upload it to the internet. I have converted files from RTF to HTML easily enough with PolyEdit in the past, but this file has a very large width. When I convert it, the resulting HTML file doesn't keep the no-text-wrap setting and everything is a mess. Is there a way around this? I have a document I've created in HTML and I'm attempting to be able to have people fill it out and save the results. The document contains radio buttons, check boxes, and text fields that need to be filled out. Now I need a way to have the results saved and sent to me. For some reason I thought if they saved the page after compleating it and e-mailed it to me it would save their results, but it just sends the orriginal page. Any suggestions. Worked Out Hi people, I just built a web site with a design made in photoshop, so when I saved it as gift and html everything fine, but when I made the code over the <head> for Xhtml all my images and stuff were distorted. I have a client that want's me to create some emailable stationary that they can in turn send to all their clients. I'm working on a MAC Leopard using Safari and Firefox. The cool thing about Safari is that you can take any webpage and turn it into emailable stationary by going File>email contents of webpage. It will copy images, formatting CSS and I think embedded Java Scripts. So I thought Great. I'll create a simple webpage, turn it into stationary... 30 minutes and I should be done. 3 days later I'm still working on this project and I'm stuck. The issue it the. I have created a webpage. If I type text into the Textarea and do something like... create new webpage (to create a new webpage from the current address) the text will not copy into the new document. Does that make sense? So the text getting entered into the textarea where is that in my html code? I've viewed the source code and cannot find it. Is it being entered into cache or something? I do not know enough about this (obviously) and am really looking for some help. Anyone that could give a helping hand I'd really appreciate it. The following are our questions 1. With no-chache response headers in the base document, whether the included external javascript or css files will be cased in browser? 2. Is there any difference between firefox and IE in this regard? 3. If we decide to gizip the response for improving performance, will it make any difference in browser caching? 4. In the areas where it says, for example ="show('Goodnight')", how do I add HTML code in the brackets but as normal text? At the moment it is trying to read it as HTML code but I want it to be displayed as text. How would I accomplish this.
