HTML - Can't Vertically-align Html In Ie

I am creating a web app. that reads data from a database and then displays it on a page. I found a solution and incorporated it into my layout but it is not working technically. Even when entering data manually into the form field I get an overflow.

The issue is the overflow. My table is wrapped in a div tag that limits its size to the width of its parent container, and my table has a set width. Even with all this my content will continue horizontally, almost like its reaching the width of my page (starting from the start of the table).

What i would like the content to do is once it reaches the end of the div container it starts a new line in the table. I do not want to use any scrolling. Just fill my page vertically with content.

I have page which is a type of form with many textbox and labels. I have used table for designing this form. How can I use a submit button so that it is placed in the center of the cell at the bottom of the page.

In short I need my Submit Button in the center of the page. Please let me know as early as possible.

Hello everyone first time poster here and this is my first website as well so bear with me. I've been designing my pages in photoshop and then adding content using div tags. It has been working well as long as i put in appropriate box height and widths in a css file. on my last page, which contains my php contact form, I'm having trouble setting the background color to match the rest and also it's not aligning correctly. Internet explorer shows the form on the left while firefox shows in centered. Any help or suggestions would be widely appreciated... heck I'll even take some criticism

After HOURS of battling with what I thought should be so simple I have given up and registered for help!

The very basic form of my problem is I want a table with 3 cells, The first two cells (one black, one blue) I want to be left aligned and simply as wide as the cell contents. I then want the 3rd cell to be right aligned, and fill up the rest of the row before reaching the text. So the 3rd cell spans from the 2nd cell all the way to the right of the table.

I have uploaded 2 images. One is the rough design that I'm trying to achieve, the other shows my results.

(the 'music videos' would be in a separate cell as the background will be blue as you can see in my tests below)

It either ends up as above or with hours of fiddling I did somehow have it over at the right, but only behind the text was black, there was just open space between the blue cell and the right aligned cell.

So frustrated, better go to bed, haha.

Hi I have a php form on the contact section of my website. It has a Name, Email and Message Box

My Problem is in the message box i have made it quite large so they can type in what they need. But the blinking line to show where the start of the text is is in the centre of the box. How can I align this to the top left?

Every code I try doesn't work. The image is either at the top of the page or it doesn't stay in the center at different resolutions.

Hello everyone, I've been racing to learn html/css in the past couple weeks to throw up a website, and so far so good.
But: I've searched the internet and I cannot find an answer to my questions.

You can see that the gray borders under the text/images have a small break in them. I assume it has something to do with the fact that I'm using two columns. How do I fix this and make a solid border (in a non hackish way)?
Note: if you say "use css/divs," I wrestled with those for about two hours before I gave up and made a table.

Secondly, in IE7, all the images/text are completely flushed left, ignoring the table padding. How can I fix this?
Note, I've never checked this site in IE6 or below, and never will, so if it looks wrong in IE6, then the user doesn't deserve to see my site anyway.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I am hoping to find someone who can help me.

I need to make it so a table on my page is centered veritcally (the same way the center tag centers it horizontally) so that it will always be in the center of the page regardless of screen resolution or if the person resizes their browser window - is such a thing possible? If javascript is needed that is fine.

Hello all, I need some help, and I'm hoping someone can assist me . I'm trying to create a html document - an offline webpage. Basically, I want parts of the page to remain static, which contain a logo and some navigation links, and the one part of the table to be a scrolling box. The reason is this: That one cell is going to contain some very large images - 1000 pixels wide by maybe 2000, 3000 high. So while the width can obviously fit on a standard monitor, the height will not.

Now, the images themselves are pictures of long flowcharts. Therefore, it's fine for the user to scroll down to navigate the flowchart. But the static navigation links and the title should remain - well, static - while the user is able to scroll up and down that ONE cell containing the flowcharts.

As you can see, the bolded cell is the one in question. (apologies for the shoddy drawing)

If anyone solves that problem, I have one slightly tougher one for you to solve, but more on that later.

I have two tables in my JSP ; the first table has 3 columns, and should be displayed on top of the page and is used to display elements of a form.

Another table should be displayed below that table, has dynamic number of columns.

This page opens as a child window from main window

The problem is that the tables are displayed beside each other if I have not specified width of table. If I do specify it (like I set it to 100%) the second table is not shown .

Could you please help me and tell me how to have two tables displayed vertically inside my page ?
