HTML - Details To Be Included In The Website
Internet is the easiest and lucrative method to promote your business. For this you should have a user-friendly, interactive and professional looking website. This is the first step to start a successful internet marketing process. Those who don’t have websites can ask for web design services from a professional web designing firm.
Here are a few important things that you should prepare before contacting a web design firm. Those who are planning to make a website should first create a good portfolio of their works. The portfolio should contain a detailed list of all the happy clients of the company. If the company has a good customer base which can be shown clearly in the portfolio, it would be the best method to advertise the services of the company. You should also give a comprehensive idea about the location of the company and the detailed addresses of the various offices of the company. This will increase the credibility of the company among the visitors. You can prepare detailed pages for the services/products section where you can include all the details related to it. Make it a point to say about the uniqueness that your firm has, as it helps a lot in marketing your products/services. It can be a newest technology or service that you offer, the method of delivery of products/services, or the widespread network that your company has. You can approach a web designer to know more about the things which can be included your website. Similar TutorialsI'm having a problem trying to anchor this Javascript menu into a fixed position. Hi guys, I have a problem with HTML I've not experienced before relating to include files. I'm running IIS on Windows XP Pro and have an HTML file with a single include (this isn't the actual project I'm working on but a test I picked up off the web to demonstrate the problem) Test.html: - <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> <!--#include file="testinc.htm"--> <br>To see this work. </body> </html> Testinc.htm: - ************************************************** ***** This is a test ************************************************** ***** When I open, in IE, http://localhost/test.html all I see is the text "to see this work". If I view the source, it is identical to test.html (ie, the include is in the source which would signify to me that it's been picked up as a comment). I've tried replacing Include File with Include Virtual (not that it should make any difference in this case as they're both located in wwwroot) but to no avail. Any ideas what's missing? Cheers in advance. It should be in the introductions area but I thought it would be better here. Ok here is my question. "I have been working on this new website project from my school on really basic HTML. So I created this website with around 12 webpages but am stuck at a place. For a better understanding, here is the picture of the page I am stuck at: http://www.imagebam.com/image/b3124a57239694 (image takes a few secs to load) And here is code for the webpage: http://www.scribd.com/doc/22980588 So by the picture, I hope you understand the problem and suggest a non <div> CSS solution. Thank You All help will be much appreciated I hope someone comes up with a quick and easy idea. I hope to enjoy my stay here I am a web design student and just finished the html/(x)html curriculum and it kinda left me with more questions than answers. One being that whenever they had me writing the code for forms, the action portion of the code was always just a placeholder. Ie: action="" , could someone give me a quick runthrough on what type of action to use for certain applications and possibly an example of the type of script used to submit the forms. Hello- I'm having a problem with my header. When I first started building this dumb thing, it was in IE7. Everything was looking fine with that, and then I tried to switch to Firefox, and nothing was where it should have been. My doctype wasn't valid, which is now fixed. Anyway, the problem. When I put the header content into the page's html, it displays like it should, but when the header is in a separate file, it leaks down into the main page. Thanks, Kate Hello all, I am trying to copy a page over to my domain (with permission) and even though it looks ok, the submit buttons / field areas are not working properly. Here is the page I am trying to get working. http://www.ldodds.com/foaf/foaf-a-matic I have grabbed the appropriate .js files and everything in MY header is fine, but like I said.. I can not get the buttons to actually take the data from the fields and spit out the code in the box provided. Any help would be great, thanks! I am embarrassed to be asking this, but... How do I open a new window from the parent window using an anchor with predetermined width, height and menu/scrollbar/status bar visibility options? I want the window to open with NO scrollbars, NO status bar, NO menus and set to 800px wide by 420px high. I have been writing html, css, php and sql for 6 years now and have NEVER needed to open a new window without using target="". When I realized this I shocked my self because I didn't know it...lol EDIT: I forgot to add, I need it to work in IE7 and Moz FF 2.0, thanks Thanks in advance Jason Hi, I am wanting to create a simple form on my site which visitors will be able to use to enter a few of their details, for example their name and email address and then hit "submit" in order to request more information on my site. When they hit submit, I would like the details they entered to be emailed to one of my business email addresses -- how is this done? Also, there should be a checkbox which they much select before they are able to huit submit (where I'm going to put somethin about reading terms and conditions). Does anyone know the code I'd use or can direct me somewhere I can fin it? Thanks in advance! First of all, WOW does this look like a site that can make it happen for me.. websitemakingwise. Im new and boy, loving the info so far.. ok, my problem: So Im cleaning up this code, yes.. again. And I wanted to make this automated php thing that sends emails straight to my inbox. Without having to use the client installed. Only problem is that the submit button isnt doing anything. Could someone have a look whats wrong? So.. whats wrong? Im a total noob.. and it isnt even that I started from scratch.. some of it was already there. Appreciate your advice I am working on an index page with menu for a friend and originally did the page an menu separately....I was able to get them to work together but when i do the In-Dreamweaver preview does not work...This is very important because she will need the preview to make her changes... Everything looks fine upon viewing in browser but no preview.... I think it probably has something to do with me using two different body tages with two different csses....Can somebody take a look and see if they can find my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated! You can view an online version at: http://www.firstpresgreenville.org/NEWFPATEST/menu.html I am having trouble with the following site here and the weather image at the bottom not being to the correct size. The image is hotlinked from another site, and I do have permission to do this! The image is automatically generated by scripts on that sites server every 5 minutes with new weather information. As my image has to always be a certain size and I suspect the original image located on the other website changes it's size as the weather updates, I clearly have a problem with pixel ratio's and an often unclear image... Thus, I would much rather scrap using the image and simply have the raw-text in this image on my site. If you look at the source for the site here, there is this piece of code: Code: <font face="Arial"><center><TABLE BORDER=1 CELLPADDING=5 CELLSPACING=1 BGCOLOR="FFFFFF"> <TR><TH colspan=4><B><FONT SIZE=+2 color="#0000FF">Weather Data</FONT></B></TH></TR> <TR><TH colspan=4><B><FONT SIZE=+1 color="#5">LAST READING AT TIME: 3:40 AM DATE: 21 December 2007 ,Time of next update: 03:45 AM</FONT></B></TH></TR> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Current Weather<FONT SIZE=+0></td><td>Night time\Dry</FONT></td> <td><font color="#009900"><FONT SIZE=+1>Current Temperature </td><td><font color="#009900"><b>3.8°C (38.8°F)</b>, Apparent temp 2.7 °C</FONT></font></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1><FONT COLOR="#FF0000">Maximum Temperature </FONT><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><FONT COLOR="#FF0000">4.0 °C at: 12:00 AM</font></FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1><FONT COLOR="#3333FF">Minimum Temperature </FONT><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><FONT COLOR="#3333FF">3.2 °C at: 12:48 AM</font></FONT></td> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Average windspeed<FONT SIZE=+0> (ten minute)</td><td>0.0 kts (0.0 kmh)</FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1>Wind Direction<FONT SIZE=+0> (ten minute)</td><td>ENE (70°)</FONT></tr></td> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Windchill Temperature </td><td>3.8°C</FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1><font color="#009900">Maximum Gust </font><FONT SIZE=+0> (last hour)</td><td><font color="#009900">0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 3:00 AM</font></FONT></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1><font color="#009900">Maximum Gust </font><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><font color="#009900">0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 1:52 PM</font></FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1>Maximum 1 minute average <FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td>0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 1:57 PM</FONT></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Rainfall <FONT SIZE=+0> (last hour)</td><td>0.00 in. How can I link a page on my website to these above changing details on another website and then format the text to my styles and use only the text which I need (around half of what is above? I hope I have made my dillema clear . I am in good contact with that sites webmaster therefore once I find a good method for doing this I will of course ask the webmaster for his permission again . Greets. I am a hardcoder by nature of HTML, however I am tired of dealing manually with tables. Can someone recommend the BEST combined HTML, CSS, XML, ETC., with WYSIWYG editor. Prefer to have html pane, wysiwyg pane, and preview and preview in browser button along with built in ftp? Don’t want something so simple that I am limited, I want as much freedom as possible. My main objective is the ability on the wysiwyg pane to merge and split cells. HTML pane is a must. I don’t want to have to enter html snippets in a little pop-up box. Thanks in advance for your help. I don’t mind paying for the software, so it doesn’t have to be freeware. I can’t run Dreamweaver on Vista right now, don’t have the memory. Nvu doesn't work well on my machine with vista either. Basicaly, I want to set up a phishing site to get someone's facebook account information. So when they put their login details in and push login, I need their login details either recorded somewhere that I can access or sent to my email, how would this be possible? I've copied the facebook source code for the login page. I plan on doing this just for one person in particular that I really don't care for. I plan on sending him the link to something on facebook and then having something on the facebook homepage that says something similiar to "an unkown error has occured, please log back in". THIS PROBLEM IS WITH --IE-- ONLY I have this piece of code that I simplified as much as I could to show a simple example: PHP Code: <table width="50%"> <tr><td colspan="2">short</td></tr> <tr> <td width="128"><img src="" width="110"></td> <td>a<br>a<br>a</td> </tr> </table> <table width="50%"> <tr><td colspan="2">long long long long long long long</td></tr> <tr> <td width="128"><img src="" width="110"></td> <td>a<br>a<br>a</td> </tr> </table> For some reason when long-long-long text is long enough, it pushes a-a-a-a to the right even through one of the cells is limited to 128 pixels.. If I color the backgrounds of the cells in different colors, it is evident that it is the cell pushing, not text-alignment problem Question, why the cell is affected but the upper cell text length even through it is properly col-spanned..? I have created a custom html dropdown menu for my site. The thing is it looks perfect in Firefox 5.0 (for me it does anyway) and works just as expected but in other browsers such as Opera 10.60, Chrome 5.0.375.125, it doesn't work properly. and it works semi ok in IE 8. For example if I hover over one of the menu buttons in opera or chrome there is meant to be a drop down box, this doesn't show in Opera or chrome but does in IE? You can view the menu on my test site - http://www.themidwiferysanctuary.com/testsite/ There is more to the menu, you can use the following log in - Username: Jade Password 130489 Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get the dropdown compatiable with all (or most) browsers? I would post the code but it won't let me even when using the code tags.......... If you want to see the javascript code then please just let me know. Im not sure any of the above makes sense?? Thank you, Jade Html code for Text Boxes that the user writes down his details and then click to a button and his details comes to an eimail... look an example ... http://www.arkadiko-meli.gr/form.asp?i=2 Here is an image depicting the trouble I'm having: I want to make a table, consisting of many cells. These cells would be fixed, and *very different* in sizes. It's easy to make a no-space table when all the images are exactly the same size, but when you have images with a variety of sizes, the table doesn't fit perfectly. Basically I want to create a collage of images with overlay text on each image. My idea was that I could create a table, and each cell (td) would have a background which is the image. Then I could just type in that cell, so the text would be over the image. Then I'd do this for every one of my images, and a collage would be formed. The problem is, the table makes large white spaces wherever the image sizes don't match! How do I get rid of these spaces, or is there an entirely different code/approach I should be using? Thanks! Here is my current code: HTML Code: <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> table.nospace { padding: 0; margin: 0; border-collapse: collapse; } table.nospace tr { padding: 0; margin: 0; } table.nospace td { padding: 0; margin: 0; } </style> </head> <body> <TABLE class="nospace" width="2040px" height="2000px" cellspacing="0px" cellpadding="0px"> <TR> <td valign="top"> <table><tr> <TD WIDTH="800px" HEIGHT="800px" BACKGROUND="image.jpg" VALIGN="bottom"> <h1><FONT COLOR=#ffffff>text</FONT></h1> </TD></tr></table> </td> <td valign="top"> <table><tr> <TD WIDTH="700" HEIGHT="497" BACKGROUND="image" VALIGN="bottom"> <h1><FONT COLOR=#ffffff>Text</FONT></h1> </TD></tr></table> </td> <td valign="top"> <table><tr> <TD WIDTH="700" HEIGHT="467" BACKGROUND="image.jpg" VALIGN="bottom"> <h1><FONT COLOR=#ffffff>Text</FONT></h1> </TD></tr></table> </td> </TR> </TABLE> </body> </html> |
