HTML - Text Not Showing Up Correctly On Page
Hey guys,
I am not sure how to explain this correctly so I hope just seeing it and the page source can help explain it. On this page.. http://www.outdoorescapade.com/hiking.html About 3 quarters of the way down, if you click on the slide panel 'button' under lake louise and smith dorrien, it slides down but the text of 'slide panel' changes to being squished on the right hand side and the list on the left doesn't end where it is suppose to. It is pushed a bit down which I think is what is causing the text in the button to be messed up a little. I've checked it many times and even copied it from the other parts where I have used it on the page but it still does the same thing... Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Similar TutorialsHi, I have made a website that is scalable, but the problem is that it is not showing correctly in Internet Explorer. It works fine in Firefox. (2.x) site: http://www.haaga-helia.fi/~a0500249/pohja/index.html I don't know where the bug is. I ran it with w3c validator and it was fault free. Something to do with the css file, but I don't know where. Help is appreciated. Sincerely, Juha I designed a website for a client. It shows fine on my mac in Firefox but the CSS isn't loading properly in Windows Browsers because the background and the Link details aren't loading at all. What could be the issue? http://kangazoomparty.com/kangazoom.html This is the website btw. nvm lukus thanks Ive got it padding: 2.3 em 0; to li:hover and it works This is driving me nuts. Try this code in IE6. Why are the three red rows on the left showing a height of considerably more than 60pixels when the code asks for exactly 60? Firefox shows this correctly. Code: <html> <head> <title>Test</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> </head> <table width="900" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td height="20" width="195" valign="center" bgcolor="#AAAAAA"><p> </p></td> <td rowspan="5" width="415" valign="top" style="padding: 20px;" bgcolor="#FFFF66"><p>Middle column</p></td> <td rowspan="5" width="290" height="440" valign="top" bgcolor="#AAAAAA"><div align="center">Right column</div></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="195" height="60" valign="center" bgcolor="#FF0000">Row 1</td> </tr> <tr> <td width="195" height="60" valign="center" bgcolor="#FF0000">Row 2</td> </tr> <tr> <td width="195" height="60" valign="center" bgcolor="#FF0000">Row 3</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" bgcolor="#FFFF66"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3" bgcolor="#FFFF66"> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> Hi all, I've spent several hours building my site. Most of my time was spent setting up the custom menu using CSS. So I am very disappointed to see it not display correctly in Firefox. After doing some research, I realized that some of my HTML isn't validating correctly. But I cant figure out how to fix it. A lot of has to do with the SPAN codes. Any assistance would be much appreciated! <body class="twoColElsLtHdr"> <div id="container"> <div id="header"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="10"> <span class="class4"> <tr> <td class="header"><a href="http://www.davidzhangphotography.com">DAVID ZHANG</a> <span class="header2">PHOTOGRAPHY</span></td></tr></span> </table> </div> <div id="sidebar1"> <TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=3 width="96%" border=0> <TBODY> <span class="class1"> <TR> <TD class="menu"><A HREF="javascript:popUp('music.html')">MUSIC</A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD> </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD class="menu"><A HREF="javascript:popUp('fashion_location.html')">FASHION 1</A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD> </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD class="menu"><A HREF="javascript:popUp('fashion_studio.html')">FASHION 2</A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD class="menu"> </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD class="menu"><a href="personal.html">PERSONAL</a></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD> </TD> </TR> </span> <span class="class2"> <TR> <TD class="menu"><a href="about.html">ABOUT</a></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD> </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD class="menu"><a href="blog.html">BLOG</a></TD> </TR> </span> </TABLE> </div> Hi All, I am new to this forum and is expecting an answer for this question. I have implemented a facebook type search to the database which displays the familiar text saved in the database when I type some text in the database. My issue is after I have used the search box for a couple of time the text box starts displaying a similar dropdown from its history which hides my database search. Does anyone know how to disable it using html or css. See the attached Image if my question is not clear. http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1306715905 Hello everyone, I've recently started a website at Angel Fire and went with HTML coding all the way. The problem I have is getting my text in their correct positions! It's been frustrating so, and I've searched everywhere for proper coding. Everytime I try to center certain text in the middle of the webpage, it pushes left aligned text further down. Any advice, coding, that would keep the text in check? Thanks. Any help? Cheers I am having trouble getting everything to fit correctly on a page. Below is a picture of my page and the sections I have split it up into. As you can see, the problem lies in the banner on the right. It is longer than all of the other rows, but I can't split it up because it is a banner. The way I have set up my page is by creating a table and then each row is another table in side of the first table. I'm not sure if this is even correct. How do I go about setting up my page so that everything fits together (including the banner)? (this is a picture of what's wrong) As stated can anyone see where my "main" issue is this page... http://materialmaterial.com/products/sunshop/ I have checked it in FF, Chrome and Opera and there is problem with any of them but for some reason in Safari the entire content is thrown to the right of the main container. Also, it works fine throughout the rest of the site (which is in static HTML /the shop part is dynamic...) I am sure that it is a simple miscalculation in the CSS but I cannot find it... Any help would be humbly appreciated... Thanks For the life of me I can't seem to figure out why this page jump isn't working. http://www.thegoheens.com/resources/test.html Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! It seems this is showing in every browser as incorrect. The text is showing below the table when it should be left aligned below the mission tab in the white background. http://billslawnandlandscape.com/test/ http://www.ars-guardian.com/services.html After most of the sentences there is a little box. It's nowhere in my code and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Any help very much appreciated. Hello everybody, How can I make html textfield so that while I'm typing a word it will show me all words that the typing word starts with. I don't know how to call this thing. JT I'm posting this here, because I have no idea where else to post it, because I have no idea what my problem is... Here's one of the pages I'm having a problem with: http://apple-ss.net/teachers.php In Firefox, the page shows fine, but in IE7 (maybe IE6 too - I don't know) on Win XP, nothing is showing. I've seen this on three different computers. It's fine in IE7 on Vista though... I checked the source, and everything seems fine. I checked the DOM with the IE developer's toolbar, and it shows nothing in the body. On the menu on the left, the second, third and fourth pages have the same problem. I'm baffled. Any ideas what's going on here? Thanks for any help. Hi Team, I placed this html code into my web editor by first uploading and saving the image as a .png file. Here is the code I used: <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2208&awinaffid=107642&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.1staudiovisual.co.uk%2Fcatalog% 2Fsamsung-ue46b7020ww-inch-p-7066.html"><img src="1stAudioVisual.png" alt="IstAudioVisual.png" title="Samsung UE46B7020WW" /></a> As you can see I put the img src in the same way that I saved it in my files..When I go to the page it comes up without the image and just says what's written in the alt section How do I get the image to show up? Thanks. Sunil. Hi: I've designed a Registration Page for the new users of my site. When my new user enters a bunch of registration information (into my Reg Page) , *but* makes an error, I then wish to re-issue this Reg Page with all the info he/she entered for corrections, instead of just re-issuing the 'blank' Reg Page. I understand cookies can do this (?) -- but I know minimal about their use. Also, I am able to use my CGI program (its written in a superset of C and has great string-processing functions) and edit a copy of the reg page and place all submitted data back into the appropriate fields of the reg page -- But this is an *onerous* task. Question: Is there a *classic* way I should be doing this replacement task ? Or is there a different method that I could try.
