HTML - Simple < And > Character Question!
I'm sure this is simple but it's got me baffled! I am basically trying to put a link to a jpg in a text description box using the following code:
<mg src="http://i310.photobucket.com/albums/kk437/timpotter_photos/Apex/The_Apex_Researcher_Fixed_2009.jpg"> however, for some reason when I go back to edit the text it is displayed as: <img src="http://i310.photobucket.com/albums/kk437/timpotter_photos/Apex/The_Apex_Researcher_Fixed_2009.jpg"> Is there a way of stopping the < and > characters from changing to < and > because at the moment the code is just appearing on the screen in the description rather than the picture I'm linking to! any help would be greatly appreciated!! I noticed that sometimes when I am reading tutorials and such they put in a /> instead of just a > . So my question is why do I need a / in front of a > sometimes and sometimes I just put a >. So how do you put text in an image because I have a background color, and I have an image that's a different color, but I want to put text in the image, so how do i do that??? Hi, I'll go straight to the point. my problem is that I need a text box to have a scroll bar and a fixed size, preferably in a "div" layer. On a more complicated note, I would really like my website not to refresh itself when you click on a menu button. The changing information should be all in the same layer. What'm I doing wrong? Brandon I am trying to get the copyright symbol into my web pages. It works fine in the HTML program but in firefox it becomes a '?' and in ie it becomes a square. The method I tried was using '©'. Can anyone help me out? Hello, im working on a small website project for me and my coworkers, none of us are very good with HTML and i'm trying to figure out something that I am sure is probably a simple thing to people that know this stuff. I have two forms, "box1" and "box 2", and I want both of the inputs to save to a text file when the person entering hits "submit". I'd also like the "submit" button to redirect to another page following the saving of the inputs to the text file... i'd apprecate any help you can give me Ive been searching google for a while but its just confusing me. I made some banners for my site to add on put I'd prefer to have them stay on the top of the page even when you scroll down. Currently, I have them as a background that is fixed in one position but the only problem is that all of the rest of the page's content goes on top of the image. I would prefer not to use frames so I guess I am asking is there any other way to keep something at the top of the page and on top of everything else and/or is it possible to have you're background image remain on top of the rest of the page's content?
