HTML - How To Load A Page Inside A Page (menu)
First let me apologize if this post has been made and/or belongs in another area but I'm not too sure even sure how to ask this.
My humble site is set up like such using HTML and CSS: As of right now I have it such that when a navigation link is clicked it loads a whole new page. How can I do this such that only the "main text" area (which sits inside a table) is loaded? I hope that makes sense! Similar Tutorials[EDITED 2007/11/22 x1] Okay, I have read the previous post on this topic, and the solution to use an IFRAME... but what about those who use FireFox (and other Mozilla-style) WWWeb browser? Is it possible to get a web page (hyperlink/URL) to load +inside+ a table cell ?? Basically the scenario I have dreamt up is creating a table that will have, say, three columns: item_image0 ...|... item_name0 ...|... item0_LIVE_CONTENT item_image1 ...|... item_name1 ...|... item1_LIVE_CONTENT item_image2 ...|... item_name2 ...|... item2_LIVE_CONTENT "item_LIVE_CONTENT" will be nothing more than a few lines of text which will reveal the item's current 'value', but it *pulls* this information in via a hyperlink/URL. I have no other way to access this information than by using a webpage (I just happen to know the actual URLs for the individual items)... and I am attempting to build a one-page ''Quick List'' of items and their current associated 'values' at the time the webpage is generated. If this is possible, without using iFRAMES, PHP, external .JS files, or other WWWeb Browser-specific features, I am all eyes and ears... oh, and FINGERS! *smile* Everything (coding-wise) has to be included in 'same' HTML file as the 'table', that *fetches*/*calls* the hyperlinked data. I found the following, but the 'file' I am using does NOT have an .EXTenSion (other than .HTML) that can be seen: <?php include("http://www.testsite.com/?name=username&page=itemlog");?> That looks simple enough, but the '' <?php '' part... does the PHP refer to the file's .EXTension that the code itself is contain within...? If so, then obviously that is why this code is NOT working for me. :/ Hello, This is an unusual one, but I have converted two Excel files into HTML files, and I also have a HTML page with some information on. I have a live of code which controls the auto refresh of each page. Is there any way that I can set this so that when the page refreshes, it loads a different page. The pages are part of a display screen that will show stats and info. I would like to set it so all three pages rotate/change every minute or so. Thanks in advance. Howdy, perhaps someone can help. at my page http://glassbala.com/calculator/calculator.htm either link for the spheres opens a shadowbox. the sphere on the right shows the issue the best the page that loads is the issue. this problem was around before recent shadowbox upgrade. there is a submit box that i have used code to have the box clear when clicked. when the page loads, it ensures that the submit box is visible. this causes the page to autoscroll down so the box is visible. is there an approach so this does not happen? thanks much for any suggestions. peace out... Hi, I have a little problem here.. should you visit my site using IE (don't myself ) it will start loading then randomly say "Cannot open <webpage>". This is very irritating. I have a little image that comes up while the flash file is loading so that is ok, but the problem is I'd like to specify the order in which item on the page load because the flash file is stopping the rest of the page loading properly. Do you know what I mean? For example i'd like my header to load first and the other images and when they are finished loading then the flash file can start. Please help me Thank you Is it possible with html? i've been working on a site but each time you click the next arrow a new page loads, all the text is in the same place so it doesn't move and is even in a fixed div but due to it being a new page everything loads, the text collapses until the larger image in the center loads. Of course this is fixed when the site is cached but of course the site would only be cached once someone has clicked through it and experienced the problems 27 times... so my question is is it possible to code for when i click the next arrow only a new image from a different link to load? is this possible with html? I mean I have used almost 5 to 8 javascripy files on each pages, like javascript for calander control, time, some dropdown, dynamic menus etc, now when the page loads it don't display any contents till all the javaScript files gets downloaded and executes i guess. I have managed to integrate a percentage load meter on my site but it loads after the images have -defeating the purpose- I was hoping somebody could tell me where I'm going wrong. I'm trying to find code, HTML or Java, which would cause the browser to automatically start focused on a different part of the page other than the top (as it normally does when a new page loads). My splash page has a css-centered background image which I would like to make it 'look' like a link, v.g. if you click anywhere on the page, the main page loads. I've seen this behavior in some lyrics pages, with a new page opening in a popup when you click anywhere in the screen, but what I need is to make the whole page behave like a giant "A HREF" tag, to load a new page in the same window.
