Hi. I am new to this forum, and new to html/website development, etc. I am trying to get help on how to fix a problem with my website. I run a website for a small non-profit dog and cat rescue. The site was set up by a friend who understands this stuff, and I basically copy and paste coded? templates where I fill in information about the animals, etc. I am trying to fix a problem with embeded youtube videos, but honestly don't really know what the problem is. The website is www.flarescue.org if that helps. On the site, we have embeded youtube videos, along with pictures of each animals. The videos work fine, and the picture thumbnails look fine as well. The problem occurs when you click on the pictures to enlarge them. For some reason, the youtube videos stay in the foreground, and block the pictures. This problem only happens when viewing the website on IE or Chrome. Everything looks fine when viewing on firefox or safari. Any ideas as to what the problem is, or if this forum is where I should be looking for answers? And if so, where should I post my question?

Ok I have some files (500) or so that I need to edit and and replace some parts of the code. Is there a program out there that would edit out certain code and delete it on multiple pages with out going through each page individually.

I am in the process of modifying my website and one area has me stumped.

There is a command on my page that when I select a thumbnail on my page it creates a larger image of that image. Here is the syntax:

When this page was originally created I only had one row (table) of images. Now I have numerous rows (tables) of images, but when I select a thumbnail, the enlargement-image does not 'follow' the scroll-bar. (in other words it stays within the constraints of the picBox command, 125 pixels from the top).

I suspect that I have to have a picBox defined for every table (row) of images but I am very much a newbie with HTML and I do not know how to write the code for that -- so I'm looking to you guys for some advice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,

The first page of my website is very short and so there is no scroll bar at the right. The next page is longer and there is a scroll bar.

This leads to the body of my site shifting slightly to the left/right between pages where there is/isn't a scroll bar.

(example: www.runyourownrestaurant.com)

To fix this, I want to put a scroll bar on the right on pages even where it doesn't need one. Kind of a scroll bar that doesn't scroll. I have seen this before, but I'm not sure how to make it.

Can anyone help please?

I need to know how to code an Iframe for my website that doesn't reload when the rest of the page is or if the page is changed, like a locked second page below the changing one.

I'm making a newsletter template while volunteering for a charity. I'm very much not an expert in html and I'm really stumped as to how I've gotten the code for laying out cells in such a mess.

I managed to make a template with a less complex layout but then modified it and this happened:



I've highlighted the areas with a red ring where there is grey and there shouldn't be. It was perfectly fine when the newsletter sections were two per row but when I modified the code so that the first section took an entire row it went downhill Where the grey is there aren't actually cells and when I try to put ones in in the correct place, they turn up somewhere unexpected and wreck the whole layout.

Can someone please help me? I have uploaded my work he [now deleted]

I'm now in Beijing for a special Youth Outreach Project "Ballers in Beijing"

We are a non-profit organization, using sport as a bridge in Northeast Asian youth communities.

I paid someone to build the project website and they have since abandoned it. Leaving me to fix up everything on my own. I didn't have any knowledge of HTML a couple of months ago, so I think its getting a little better.

But I still can't figure out how to center everything on my page, to fit the browser.

i am working on XSLT. the problem some text is given with list labels but it is not aligned properly.

so for that i created a <div> and <span> tag as below:

There was also issue in firefox of overlapping text which was solved by using clear:both.
the issue is that in <div> i have used width="75%" due to which much whitespace is coming on R.H.S of the page.
is there any other option instead of using width?
width=75% is chosen after many trials. as nested lists can also be there. otherwise text comes to next line.

I have made a website and need help with my HTML.

What im trying to do is use the Index page as my template and place all the rest of my page on a region on the index page but also change the pages of the site using nav bar. What HTML should i be using and can anyone give me a code??

I'm trying to use the following link of code below:

Where imageName is 400 x 600.

When I click on the link to open the image, in FIREFOX the image opens perfectly (correct size, with the correct window around.)

When I click on the link in IE7, the window is smaller then the image thus adding scroll bars.

Any idea or help on how to get it working correctly in IE? thanks in advance.

This is NOT a professional website - it's just a crappy blogging portfolio project I have to do at Uni so please ignore the awful photoshopping.

Basically I want to know if it's possible to add an iFrame on an image? I have dreamweaver CS5 and cannot for the life of me work out how to do it.

My website is: www.chloieonline.com.

Basically, if I use the image as a background, I can't work out how to align the frame PLUS it's quite a large background dimension wise.

If I insert the image, I then cannot work out how to add the iframe on top on the image?!

If anyone can help I'd be so grateful!!
