HTML - Navbar Home Link Nofollow

So, I am a noobie. Started reading up on HTML stuff today. I coded a bit back in HS which was like 8 years ago, but it was mostly C++.

I bought a website using fatcow.com. I am trying to just set up my home page right now. I want a header with a picture. I want navigation along the left side. I don't even know what kind of tabs I have but for example I have, say... Poker, Investing, Music. When somebody clicks on one of these, I hope it will redirect to the proper page, but if somebody highlights over it, a new set of tabs comes up, so like say I scroll over music, I want another smaller menu to pop up and show more links to music, like concerts, genre, local shows. Please note these categories are arbitrary for now.

My question is where do I start? I don't know how to make these "tabs." I downloaded Arachnophilia 5.4, not quite sure how to use it, but I assume I code it there and load it onto my website.

Any help is appreciated. and its VERY URGENT! Just kidding...

I have a site and im trying to get a banner-like thing on the top of the page, but every time I add a new table with the banner/pics/text is just automatically goes to the bottem. I have all that stuff on the left like "what is/how to/ other" all that stuff but when i add other things it goes straight to the bottem, and if i center align it, it just screws all that other stuff up. Any thanks will be loved I have ventrilo and teamspeak if anyone can help me there too, thx

Since my school has admin locks on what we can open, they blocked internet options. I have looked around and have found the set as homepage script on google, but I want to rise in populariaty by making this option avaible. Most of the people at my school aren't techno-literate and wouldn't be able to figure out where to type the address in the code; so can anyone help me figure this out

the form i had before was named 'form1' so when i tryed it it asked if i wanted to set the homepage to 'form1' which didn't work.

I'm new to html and java script, so i don't know how to do this. Please Help Me,

Today I updated my index.php page (home page) and I went to my site www.scubatoo.net and it did not update. I can go to /index.php and see the updated page, but not if I just go to www.scubatoo.net. Please help me.

im wondering if any1 knows of some home server software i could use to host my website off ( im turning a pc into a deticated server and my ISP is letting me) i heard 1 or 2 mentioned over the last few weeks ima try to find them right now and look into them but thought maby i could get some input from any1 thats used or knows of 1 (needs to have mysql /php support) free or pay for doesnt matter...

Ok, anyhow, hi. This is my first post ad its a biggy. As an overall summary, I need to create a form which can be filled out that posts the information onto 1 page, but also creates another page automatically with it on.

Now the detail. I run a site which uses phpbb user as the main site profile. I have intergrated into my homepage so you can log in there and see the info. What i need is a form which can be filled out by an admin with specific fields that would add a news segment onto the homepage.

What I can do of this is if the admin wants to post a news segment on the homepage, they can click a link that will lead them to a conformation page that asks for thier details again and then checks thier phpb usergroup to see if they are an admin or not. I can also make it so once they have conformed it, they have access to the form.

Now the form is a bit complicated. First off it needs these fields: Title Home Segment Article Segment
The title is self explanitary. It is the main title of the news segment itself. The home segment is a small description of the actual segment itself. Article segment is the tricky bit. I need it to create a new page within a specific folder and it be domain.com/folder/title.php . I would also like it to post the date within the tags below. Oh and there needs to be a readmore link created with a link to the article

The actual html for the segments would be:

In FireFox the onmouseover and onmouseout seem to be working fine but not in IE. There is a strange delay.

And I can't seem to get my searchbar looking right.

I am really new to this. Anyone think they could help me straighten out my code and css?

I've downloaded the Extreme Gaming template and was pleased to find the the navigation bar had a PSD that was easy and simple to edit. However, I'm having problems integrating the edited navigation bar into my site. When I do, it seems to move around all the tables and leave black spaces everywhere. I'm not experienced enough at HTML to find the problem and fix it. I was hoping that maybe someone could do it for me or give me a few pointers at what I'm doing wrong. Here's the images I go after editing the PSD and slicing it accordingly. This is what I want the new nav bar too look like...

I have managed to get all my links working within the forms ok but one! that being the having navigation back to my Home page or Index page.

It being made up of three forms.

Hope someone can help me please... I'm trying to find the best way to place an image slideshow (continual loop, no stopping etc) on my home page. I've tried a few what look like good JavaScript versions, which I cannot get to work properly - seem to conflict with other JavaScripts running on the same page. Does anyone have any ideas? Or is there a way to do this without using JavaScript (or Flash)?

I'm using Joomla CMS if that helps/makes a difference...
