HTML - Info That A Customer Can Edit On The Screen?
Hello
I have a website of legal forms. I want my customers to be able to customize the forms directly ON my website, just as if they were using MS-Word, but maybe without all the features. Just so they can type stuff on screen, move/center images, etc. Is there any way I can do this in Java or HTML? Similar TutorialsI placed all my adsense ads into iFrames but when I resize the window small all the ads are pushed to the middle of the screen. How can I make them stay put. I tried working with divs too but it makes the ads the highest layer and it makes an invisible border stretching across the screen and I cant click anything thats in that border range. heres some of my code: <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style2.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> </head> <center> <head> <title>BIO</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> </head> </tr> </table> <!-- End ImageReady Slices --> <iframe src="/adsense.htm" width="120px" height="600px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:1173;bottom:865" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense2.htm" width="120px" height="600px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:-92;bottom:865" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense3.htm" width="728px" height="90px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:50;bottom:518" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense4.htm" width="336px" height="280px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:195;bottom:1560" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> </body> </center> </html> is there a script that i can use in my html website to allow a customer to add feedback on my site? Hi I am Ron a new member. I am using 123 reg to edit our allotment web site. Access seems to have changed and cannot get in to edit can anyone advise. Ron I am trying to help a friend with his website after his admin left. The site was set up years ago and was never finished. He had a simple web form that would send an email using the code below. The previous guy had the output going to himself and then he would fwd to the sites owner. Strange but not sure why. I just went in to edit the email address, but now I get a "The requested URL /_derived/nortbots.htm was not found on this server." after hitting submit. I googled the error and the only thing I can find is that possibly the original page was created in Frontpage and after opening the file in Notepad++ the file lost some FP attribute. Any ideas what I should try? Thanks Here is the code: <html> <head> <title> Newsletter Registration</title> <meta name="description" content="domain.com" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <script src="/resource/js/main.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link href="/resource/css/main.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" /> </head> <body onload="initJS();"> <div id="wrapper"> <table id="mainTable" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr id="banner"> <td style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif; You see all I really want on the site is to have content in the middle move as I update and add to it. However when I subtract content or add more content in the middle div box. the right side box will move up or down depending on whether I have added or subtracted content. If you visit http://www.trillionaireme.com that is how I want the site to show on all pages when a link is clicked, however when you click on the "How to Get Started" link http://www.trillionaireme.com/howtogetstarted.html, because I have less content in the middle the right div box moves up. I would like it locked and positioned just as it is displayed on the main page http://www.trillionaireme.com This is the main page: Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <title>TrillionaireMe</title> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/trillionaireme.ico"> <head><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="trillionaireme.css" /></head> <body> <h1> </h1> <div class="logo"><a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com"><img class="displayed" src="http://www.trillionaireme.com/images/trillionaireme.jpg" width="196" height="233" border="0" /></a></div> <h1> </h1><p class="borderbottom"> </p> <div class="page"> <h2> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/nutrition.html">Nutrition</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/fitness.html">Fitness</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/money.html">Money</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/relationships.html">Relationships</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/parenting.html">Parenting</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/music.html">Music</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/literature.html">Literature</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/you.html">You</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/them.html">Them</a> <a href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/vision.html">Vision</a> </h2> <div class="firstindex"><br /><a class="nutrition" href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/"><span class="clickednav">Welcome</span></a><br /><a class="nutrition" href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/howtogetstarted.html">How To Get Started</a></div> <div class="secondindex"><a class="nutrition" href="http://www.trillionaireme.com/joinourmailinglist.html">Join Our Mailing List</a><br /></div> <div class="sitelastupdated">This site was last updated on: Tuesday, May 24, 2011 @ 12:47 PM</div> <div class="welcomemessage">"What are you doing right now? Example: I have a fantasy basketball league website with roster pages for each participant. I want to allow them to login to their individual page and move their players around from a bench position to a starter and vice versa. I use Tripod as my hosting site. Thanks for any suggestions!!! i know it a n00b question probably answered 1000times but i have search google and cant find any helpful sources. iv been doing some HTML at collage and we are using IE 1 and you can just click on view source and then edit the code in notepad and it edits the page. but at home i have the latest FF and GC and when ever i open view source it just shows the source and ii cant edit it. So whats the best thing to do/use? I'm having trouble finding the admin login to edit my gallery.I have the login and Password. The original webmaster abandoned my friend and I decided to learn how the edit html.I've looked in all the directories and the other files listed. Hey all. First post here, but I've been around for a few weeks, just not registered. Actually I have a problem. I am using Dreamweaver to make a website. In the News page, I put a scrolling textbox using the div tags and it all worked pretty well, but now I would like to edit that textbox, customize the look of it. I've seen it done in other sites, but I'm not sure its HTML. Actually what I want to do is change the BG color, change the color and style of the scoll bar (For example a red dot instead of the original blue/grey bar, if its possible). I know I've seen on another site, someone changed the bar, he made it more square and changed the color or opacity, kindda what I want to do. If you have a page will all the codes, which is probably hard to find, that would be the best Also, I tried adding a border with <div style="overflow=auto [etc] border=3px solid" but it didnt change a thing. Can anyone help me with those problems please? Thanks PS: Ill try adding the full code later, but its home and Im at school. Can anyone tell me how to do the thing in which you add the code which looks different from the rest of the text? Hello, I was wondering how to do to put a background that fits with the screen. I like code, I simply put background = "image.jpg" thank you How do i edit a webpage? I copied some code from an online tutorial, and I wanted to make changes to it, but I can't. I'm using OS X and Safari. I can open the page in Safari (It's saved in html), but when I choose 'view source' it only displays the code, but I can't change anything. What am I missing? Can you help me? I want a visitor on my site to have to fill out information before they can access a page on my website. I need a box that pops up and requires them to fill out their name and E-mail before being able to access the page. I also need the info to be E-mailed to me. Thnks 4 the help! I am trying my hardest to swtich from tables to DIV's. but man they are picky... sometimes they work in IE but not in FF then in FF but not in IE.. My question is.. Where is the best place/book/website/forum to find out about the DIV craze.... To find info about how to lay out a website in pure CSS divs and no tables... Thanks.... P.S. (and off topic).. i hate that i have to almost write two CSS script.. one for IE hack and one for FF and other browsers... Hey there, I am now taking care of a website that someone else built in the past. This website has a schedule that has dates and the events organized into tables. These tables are not so small... Now, i am asked to flip the table around, meaning to change the order of the data to the exact opposite This is a tedious task to just cut and past the <tr>'s one after another in the source code... Does anyone know of a peice of software that would be able to perform this task automatically? you know, flip the table around to the exact opposit of what it is now? for instance, if my table were like this: 1 2 3 To have it: 3 2 1 So, right now I have a single page that loads flash files. It takes the name of the file and the size of the frame from the address bar, then uses that to load the game. However, the problem I have is displaying a tidbit of info about the game. I managed to make it scroll with a nice script, but unfortunately I have no idea how to store the content that goes in the actual iframe. Currently, the frame loads its info from the file itself, by using javascript to get the name of the game and retrieve the valid information. However, this makes the game loader 53 kilobytes, versus the 1-2 kb is was previously. Clearly, this is not an efficient solution - especially if I add more than the 80 or so games I have. Imagine the mess if it was like 1000 games, ugh. I try to add only the quality games though, so I doubt i'll ever reach that number. Quality over quantity, right? Still, what should I do to store the information and quickly look it up without downloading a bunch of information onto the user's computer? Hey all. I'm not exactly sure how to explain what I want. lol. I've seen it on sites before, but can't think of a particular site to point to. But I can explain! On some sites, you might be reading an article or something, and there is a word that is underlined and turned into a link i.e. I'll be reading an article about animals, and the word "gorilla" will be a link and when you hover over it, it will either show you a definition, or point you to a wikipedia article of "gorilla." Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I really want to implement this into a forum of mine that will point members to, if nothing else, a definition of what a commonly used word is. Any clues? thanks! Hi everyone, Working for a new company and the guy that left made a mess of some form validation. He built the website and it's digitally signed by himself. Do I legally need to get his permission to change his code? Don't know much about this area.... Thanks |
