HTML - Loading Images Using Html?
Hi, I was wondering what the easiest way was to add an image loader to a cell on a table. Basically I want the user to be able to browse their images for an image file and then load that to another cell on the table. I don't have much experience with HTML but I need to learn how to do this code for one of my assignments and I couldn't find any clear tutorials on how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
Similar TutorialsHi everyone Newbie here and nearly finished my first site - phew! I have one quick question - you know how a browser shows an outline box of the shape of an image before the image downloads, well, is there any way to get rid of it? This box disappears once the image has loaded so it is nothing to do with the "border" tag and all of my images have the height, width border="0" and alt tags completed. (I use a lot of images on the my site as I am a photographer and it looks really ugly while it is waiting for the images on a slow connection) Am happy to use html, css, java... Thanks for any help. Tre Hi all, I have desgiend and coded an HTML newsletter to be compatible with mobile devises however when testing this newsletter through the email marketing service the images do not load automatically. My service provided says its something with the coding and has nothing to do with the fact that I'm sending email through their service. Sidenote: when I test the newsletter and send it through my outlook via the "send page by email" in browser ...images do load automatically when I view it on my blackberry. :/ Here's a link to the page http://www.globalaerospace.com/ftp/e...012/index.html Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Each video is centered on it's own page using a table. Rather than creating 25 different HTML documents, I would like to have one that can switch between tables on a click. If you are unsure of what I am suggesting, I found that Apple has implemented just what I want... http://www.apple.com/iphone/ipod/ ... if you click the music tab, it loads a .mov; likewise with the video tab. (without loading an entirely new page) I would like to do this very thing with my table. Can anyone suggest how I can do this? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you, JRosselet Hi all, I have a .CGI web page written in PERL language. The CGI script loads the information from a database. So when i start the CGI page in my browser and it will only have a value in the whole page. As in when the whole page started in the browser will have only a few characters. Let say it retrieve Temperature recorded and which is stored in the database. So the whole page when loaded will only show 1 temperature. Which is "36.6" and will change when ever the database receive a newer data. In additional, i have a html page. There are tables in the page whereby show information. Like tables having temperature, id, sound and light columns. My Question is that Am i able to load the numbers/characters show on the CGI page directly into the table or any where in the HTML page? What i can think of is putting up a link to the CGI page on the HTML file and click it when i want to view it.But it would just be too troublesome. Lastly, thank you all for your time in reading and please pardon me for my bad English and weak HTML skills as I'm still learning. Hello, let me begin by saying that I know absolutley nothing about HTML but have been put in a position to learn a little I have made a dinky HTML page in MS Word 07 that we are trying to email to some folks on newsletter list and I am having an issue. When I send the test file to myself the images don't load. From what I understand they need to be hosted in order to load correctly. 2 Questions: 1) Can I host them on photobucket? 2) How in the heck do I get them to display properly??? I.E. Where does the IMG tag go? If anyone can help me I can post the source code and the IMG tags from photobucket...... Thanks! Hi all. I've implemented an Image on my .html page using the following source code: Code: <img src = "www.myURL.com/images/logo.jpg" alt = "my Logo" width = 15% height = 15% > but I get a big X where the image should be. I've also tried just using "/images/logo.jpg" as the src, but that doesnt work either. My pages are all online by the way, and are not stored locally on my Hard Disk. All my pages are in www.myURL.com/pages/ and the images are in www.myURL.com/images/. Any tips? Thanks Hi guys Im new to HTML (relatively) and would greatly apreciate some input or ideas as to what im doing wrong. I have recently created a website using a CMS (i know you shouldnt but i am learning HTML and will soon be ditching the CMS) and therefore have no control over the CSS One of the things i am doing on my site is to show artists work off to the world. Therefore they give me the images and i have little to no control over their appearence. To protect the images i have decided to make the actual art the background of a table and to put a blank image infront of it. However i have come across a problem. The picture doesnt seem to be showing as the size i am putting into it. If you go to http://www.dragonstouch.co.uk/page22.htm you will see what i mean. The code i am using for the top picture is: <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="520" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="520" background="http://www.dragonstouch.co.uk/userimages/OakdragonCR2.jpg" height="377" < td alt=""> <div align="center"> <div align="center"><img style="width: 520px; height: 377px" height="377" alt="Oak Dragon" src="http://www.dragonstouch.co.uk/userimages/Blank(1).gif" width="520" border="0" /></div> </div> </td> </tr> </tbody> <p align="center"></p> </table> Now as far as i can see i have set the height as 377 and the width as 520. When i rightclick and go to the blank images properties it shows as the height being 377 but the width as 540. I really have tried everything i can think of and nothing seems to help. Any ideas would be greatly apreciated. However due to recent experiences i would also make a couple of requests. I am trying very hard to learn HTML and i already know that the majority of you if not all of you have a far superior understanding of it than i do. I say this because the forums i went to before this one were very argumentative and tended to talk to me as if i were a moron. 2ndly i am aware that there is no foolproof way of protecting images. I say this because as before when i posed this question to a previous forum they just insisted i shouldnt do it and that images shouldnt be put on the net and would not help me. I dont mean to be rude or anything like that i just found my previous experience with the html experts very frustrating and therefore i just want to state that i am asking for help, not grief. I hope this doesnt put you off helping me. Thanks all in advance. Dariune (Lex) Hi! I'm pretty new to html, I'm trying to build my own fairly simple website using 123 reg Instant site and I want to make it from scratch with my own banners and buttons etc. I've been playing around putting some images up on the webpage, but I'm having problems getting the images to stay put, they move around when the browser window gets made smaller/bigger. heres the link to the website http://handbagshandbagshandbags.co.uk/ Any help would be really appreciated! I saw some images embedded in text created with ▐ and ۩. If all you see are the images, the code is: &-#-9-6-1-6-; and &-#-1-7-6-9-; (disregard the hyphens). What are these images called and where are they documented? Don I have just started to learn HTML and was trying to get images on my exparimental web page. I haven't published the page and I have tried everything to get it to work. I can get images to work on my backround but not on the page itself. i.e.<img src="/pics/mf.gif" width="100" height="100">. I have used the full path name and all pics are in the same folder as my page. All I get is a box on the top left of where the pic should be, its like the image isn't loading. Please help Hi all. I'm having a little bit of trouble with putting sliced images on my website and was wondering if you could help me out? I've made a very basic menu design in photoshop. I sliced the image using Photoshop then opened the resulting html file in Frontpage. When I opened the page in preview mode, the sliced images had moved slightly away from each other which is giving me gaps between the slices. Its also doing this when I view the page in a normal web browser, but not in photoshop Is this because I am using frontpage or could it be some kind of options setting in photoshop? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum btw....Any help would be great Thanks Hello People, I have 5 images that i want to display one by one after regular interval's of time . I dont know how to do this in HTML .Can you please help me. Thanks in advance, Kluserner Alright, well I'm new here, and I'm just starting the largest HTML project I've ever done. I'm just trying to create a simple little site with virtual items and stores. Thats all I'm starting with, at the moment. Now, I've set up the pages, and have begun to get images for items, but the largest and most important question for a thing like this has popped out. How would I send one image to another page? Example (not real links): Send image imageshack.us/img453663 from trspriting.forumotion.com/Store-h6.htm to trspriting.forumotion.com/Inventory-h7.htm by clicking the image. I also would want the item to be destroyed after clicking it. I have taken a photo with my camera and need to put it on the web. How do I insert the image from my local computer PC to html code so when people search the web they see the picture on that web page? I am not a HTML guru. Any help is appreciated. Thank you all. Hi there, I have the almost impossible task to create a newsletter (text + pics) that contains a background image and needs to be distributed using Microsoft Business Contact Manager (Microsoft Outlook add-on).
