Is there a way to make it so that i can create a link that says "view" and if people click on it, then the standard "FILE DOWNLOAD" box does not come up... and it just opens the file in a separate window.... and have a "download" link where if they click that... then it just downloads the file. I know that i am weird... but i think it would be something that not everybody has... and something that would be kinda cool. Thanks in advance.... Mark could someone have a look at a site that I am working on... http://benjaminpotter.org/stpauls/ and tell me how come in IE the picture box moves off to the right... it has stumped me! Hello, i have an online radio station that id like to embed into my website... the station is hosted and everything..just want a player that will play the station on demand for people... but i dont know how to do it. I have a m3u, but thats about it at this point any help would be greatly appreciated hey anyone who's reading this.. i'm having trouble with fleshing out a vertical menu as when i do, it either doesn't work or doesn't work the way that i had imagined. any help? trying to make submenus that shift down the other main menus from the main menu it originated from. font style won't attach; i used ideoma_SPRAY.otf for the entirety of it and both the html and css are separated in the one txt file. wasn't sure if i was supposed to post this to html or css so i'm just putting it up here for now. thank you! Hi guys this is my first post here, hope you can help. I am currently designing a websitefor the company I work for and the first page is almost completed with the exception of a little glitch. When the page first loads there are a few elements that are in the wrong place. Then when the page is refreshed these elements go where they are supposed to be. I have looked through the html and the css and can't find any problem as to why this is happening. I would really appreciate any suggestions as to why this is happening or how to fix it. If you need anything else just let me know and I'll post it. Thank you As you can see here Here is what it should look like but only does after hitting refresh Hello all! I was going to give my website a new structure, so i would be able to make more stylesheets, without making different HTML's. And to give my website more differences between the stylesheets, i decided to put the leftpanel buttons into the css stylesheet too, so i was able to give them different looks just by changing the css. So i changed the source (src) to an transperant .png file called "linky.png", and then i gave each button an id. Each ID was named the name of what the button refers to, and what it is (Example: ID="Homebutton"). Now as you can guess, each button can't be seen, only be pressed on. So i went to my stylesheet (Classic.css) and entered the names and gave them properties (look below to see an example). Code: #Homebut { background-color: #FFFFFF; background-image: url("Classic/Home.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; } And i was really excited over the result. I opened index.html using Firefox, but my excitement was over. The buttons didnn't show up. All i could 'see' was my invisible button. I don't think that this is a really big and hard problem to solve, it's probaly just something i spelled wrong or wrote wrong. But i checked everything, and i couldn't find any things that looked like that at all. That's why i kindly ask you to help me. Download everything you need for solving my problem right here! If there is anything else you need to solve my problem*, just ask for it and i'll see what i can do. *=anything else than money xP All, i have a minor problem with hyperlinks not displaying properly. In some instances, IE7 does not underline the hyperlink or only partly underlines the link. Please see http://www.tauntonflowershow.co.uk/ and look at the downloads yellow box at the top of the screen. Firefox, Opera etc are all OK. Grateful for any advice you can offer. Hello, I've been working in Dreamweaver on what I think is a pretty simple project, but am stuck figuring out the following: On the system that I used to create the html code, the following produces exactly what I intend... a mouseover event that opens a window that is 800x600: <a href="#" onmouseout="dave.close()" onmouseover="dave=window.open('Adrift in Manhattan.htmL','test','width=800,height=600')"><font size="2" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">Adrift in Manhattan </font></a><br /> <br /> When I "mouseover" on one of my other systems, the window opens full screen - not the 800x600 I want. What am I missing? Thanks, bob Hi. I have a question regarding my site. If you click on the link using IE you will see that the images in my tables are cut off on the right, and haven't been scaled at all... In Google Chrome they appear fine. Here is the HTML code snippet: Code: <table> <tbody> -snip- <table> <tr> <td> <div class="large"> <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/QnqiMcSvmlR_osQplmz-Iw?authkey=Gv1sRgCNbCzI295-KBIg&feat=directlink" target="_blank"> <img class="large" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_lPPWxJaDX_0/S1tmkLXjmBI/AAAAAAAAAVA/782xI-SkNVQ/s640/step1-2.jpg" alt="CashCrate offers page." title="CashCrate offers page."> </img> </a> </div> </td> </tr> </table> -snip- </tbody> </table> And here is some css code: Code: div.large { width: 100%; height: 200px; border: none; margin-top:6px; margin-bottom:6px; overflow: auto; } img.large { width: 98%; height-max: 600px; padding: 2px; border: ridge; border-color: #66E066; } I'm wanting to know what I need to add/change to make the images appear right in all browsers(I've only tested in IE and Chrome). If you need any more info about my page, ask . Thanks. Hi there, I am currently designing a website for an art gallery. On a site I am making there's a table which -- only in the IE-s including version 7 -- is not properly displayed: the column containing the text is only approx. half filled in width. Most (not to say all) other browsers get this right... Anyone got an idea, why this could be? Thx and best, T Hi! I downloaded this script off the net: http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1178321623 (or download attachment) and modded it to my needs. The only problem is that the orange blob on the top left breaks up (I think due to the way the tables are set up... i'm not sure i'm a BIG NOOB at HTML). This happens ONLY when I have large amounts of content... To see a live preview of this problem... please visit my website: http://www.netsafehouse.com/ http://www.netsafehouse.com/index.html << This is what the script should look like... it looks fine... BUT http://www.netsafehouse.com/Radio.html << It breaks up here. Please tell me what to do (I'm using dreamweaver)... thanks!! I created a template with photoshop and saved into 1024 x 768 and worked it with front page. when i opened it in firefox the site is apearing at the left side of the window even if i edited in front page to be shown in the middle. In explorer it works just fine. ANy ideas please? Hello Gurus, I have a HTML webpage index.html and the expecation is that when user selects from drop drown opton it needs to display a webpage in the iframe underneath the option list. Below is the code snippet. From the code, you will see that it displays all www sites such as google.com, yahoo.com just fine without issues, however the local opel.html is not coming up at all. I am pasting the code of index.html as well as the page that i want to call i.e. opel.html. My default browser is Safari so I didn't notice the problem till now. I designed the site layout in photoshop and the site in dreamweaver and it works fine in IE and Safari but in Firefox the site layout gets split at the top of the page and you can see the background in a line. Now the layout has two CSS styles for content in the middle and sidebar on the left both have background color that matches the design #333 and #646464. These are noticeable in the split. The site is sv-photography.net Any one got any ideas on how to fix this? SebastjanV |
