HTML - Making Simple Quiz Using Html... Showing Answers By Clicking Button
Hi,
I'm working on a simple website in which I'm required to use two types of forms input on a webpage. I have decided to make a simple quiz which will be designed as follows; -------------------------------------------------------- Q1: The largest mammal on land is: (radio button choices) Q2: Please tick the two correct answers: (tick boxes, four available... only two correct) ---------------------------------------------------------- (BUTTON: Please click here for the answers) ... answers should appear once the above button is pressed... Answers: Q1: B Q2: A * C Is this possible in HTML? Sounds quite straight-forward but I'm no expert so forgive me.. Ps: Is it possible to design a radio button which, depending on the choice, the related-text will appear underneath on the same page? So if they select 'A' then paragraph 'A' will show, if they select 'C' then paragraph 'C' will appear (with the rest hiding)... Thanks! Similar Tutorialsis there a way that i can make a site like peter answers? Well there was something like this once before i think, and it was something about how if you click on a button, text will show up in a box without the whole page reloading. Now i want the same effect, but with images http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l7...nt=gallery.jpg thats how i want the gallery to look. I dont want the whole page to have to reload each time you click a thumbnail, and i want to do this without php because my host doesnt support it. I have virtually no understanding of doctype. I've never used it before, and I've never noticed a difference on any of my sites between different browsers or old and new browsers. But, recently, I've been trying to get up to standards on everything. All the tutorials and forums I've read about it say to use Transitional if you're not sure, and then they go on to say stuff about which version of HTML you're using. I really don't know exactly what XHTML is, but I do know (or at least think I know) that I always close out everything proper (<br /> instead of <br>, <img src="..." /> instead of <img src="...">, etc.), I always keep everything in lower case, and I always put properties in quotes. Is that the ONLY difference between HTML and XHTML? If so, should I use a Strict doctype instead of Transitional? My site looks fine on Mozilla, IE, Safari, and Opera, but w3.org keeps saying my pages are invalid, and it always points out my closing tags. Here's what I'm working on, in case anyone wants to see it http://www.gizburgduck.com/main/index.html Hello. I was lurking on web in search for some kind of administration. I have simple web site and i want to add articles to site like in JOOMLA. Can this be done. Thanks in advance! I am looking at making a simple photo gallery with HTML/CSS only, that looks like this: http://i56.tinypic.com/29aurzm.png Does anyone know a good way going about it? Hello! I'm a real beginner when it comes to html, so sorry for my stupid questions. I've started making a logic quiz for my students using the following quiz code that I found online http://student.ccbcmd.edu/~abeiderm/.../quizCode.html http://student.ccbcmd.edu/~abeiderm/tims2005/quiz.html But I have encountered two problems. 1. When I write logical symbols that I want to appear in the textarea for the answer it doesn't print the symbol, only the code. How am I suppose to write the code to get the symbol? My code is now: //produce output in textarea. document.quiz.output.value += "The answer to question 1 is A ∨ ¬ A \n"; 2. I would like to be able to print peoples (in particular my students) answers to a file, so I can use the quiz as a test. Is this possible? Is there any sample of such a code, that I can just copy? thanks in advance! Ok, basically here is the run down of what I am looking for this script to do. Code: http://www.thisisjustanexamplesite.com/stats=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (X's representing numbers) All I want is the webpage to just show a text field and a submit button. So when the user puts in the numbers in the text field and hits submit, it automatically will put the numbers he put into the text field on the end of that link mentioned above and then take them there. I'm thinking it should just be simple HTML but possbily PHP maybe, not sure. Any help would be appreciated! I'm creating an order form for a site and I need to add something I've never done before. I want content to be added to the form if the user clicks on a certain radio button. At the bottom of the form there are fields for the subtotal and total of the items that they're inputting at the top of the form. By clicking on a radio button I want to do either of the following. 1) A new table cell appears with text and an input field that has a number already in it. 2) The above cell and content are already on the page, and the clicking of the radio button only adds the info into the empty input. The first option I assume is a little more complicated and probably deals with CSS and/or Javascript. Option 1 is preferred but if I can only do number 2 then I'll deal. Just a note, I'm not doing any actual number calculations with this form. It's just raw numbers so there's no need to take that into consideration. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Hello everyone. Below is the html code for a quiz i want to use for my website. What I want to do is, upon completion of the quiz, have 2 new text-entry forms and 1 "submit" button form appear at the bottom of the page asking the user to input one's name and email address before they can submit the results of their quiz. Both fields would be required.. <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <title>Knowledge Assessment Tool</title> <script src="assessment.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="quiz.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link rel="stylesheet" href="quiz.css" type="text/css"> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <p><font color="#2431A2"><u><b>10 Point Quiz</b></u></font></p> <div id="quiz1"></div> <div id="quiz2"></div> ** </body> </html> ** denotes where the text and submit button would show up after the quiz is completed asking the user for name/email address. As you can tell I have no clue how to acheive this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. hiiii alll........ Hello, I posted this on another forum, but didn't get a conclusive response... Is it possible to make an HTML <button> act as a link without using Javascript's onClick handler, or indeed any Javascript at all? I was thinking something like: <a href="some link"><button>GO!</button></a> would work, but it doesn't seem to. Thanks, Hey all, apologies if this is in the wrong spot. I'm looking for a way to make a button/link that when clicked will bookmark my site. i.e. "Click HERE to bookmark this page." I've been tromping around google for an hour and have turned up nada. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Hi all, I am looking to try to build a simple calculator in a separate page on a website. I want it to work by the user inputting a specific figures into two boxes and then they are given the answer. The maths would be done in the background and it would just be a tool that they could use to avoid making mistakes using an equation. Does anybody know if something like this is possible using HTML or would it involve something complicated than that? Thanks in advance, Tom |
