HTML - External Video Menu. Help
How can get a free program that lets be use movies hosted on other site such as youtube and put them on mine while still hosted at the other site. Its kinda a set-up like on game websites but for videos. like this http://cruiseshipfan.webs.com/apps/videos/ the only ones i have been able to find have to be hosted at the site but i don't want that.

However, the key issue is that this menu needs to be easily edited in the future (i.e not by me), so it would need to be controlled by some sort of external file, where new categories could be added or edited, and then the changes would automatically apply to the whole website. The website is being built soley in HTML, so I really need something that could be used with this. Please can anyone help? Hello! I'll be using an HTML pulldown menu system for a website, where the menu links are for pages on that website. Easy enough! But....when I add webpages to the website, I'll have to edit the HTML of the menu on each and every webpage to incorporate the new link. Again, easy enough, but time consuming. So I need a system where the pulldown menu looks to an external file for it's links - then, all I have to do is edit one file instead of editing every webpage. Can anyone help? In one of the frames I want an external URL to be displayed rather than content from the mother site, if that makes any sense. I don't mean asa a link, I mean the actual content to be displayed. Regards trnghosh What code would websites like youtube and metacafe let other people upload things? hello all and merry xmas, my client needs a free/very cheap video uploading solution. he has an unlimited hosting account and a domain. he wants to create a website where he uploads daily/weekly sermons (30 - 60 min long videos) and can share it with the web. i was thinking of 1. making video > uploading to his space via ftp > embedding in html form, but i dont think its best to leave so 'many' tasks for him to deal with on a everyday basis. 2. a blog e.g. blogger which will enable him to embed videos, but this means videos arent categorized. 3. free/very cheap video hosting. google video was a favourite but since it has shut down recently he cannot use it. We didn't like what they did with video and despite promising to archive/save the old code when they updated - it is all gone. GoDaddy wants $1500 to revert the website back. I got almost all of it figured out but I have no experience and I am stuck on one final piece. We have a video player on the website and a list of videos to click and play. That is working. We want a static image showing in the video player that will play when clicked. I have the image. I have the video. But nothing I have tried works. Can anyone please help? This is my first attempt at putting a .avi video on a webpage. Right now, here's my code: <embed src="name.avi"></embed> Internet Explorer will load up a video player, but then the whole page will freeze. The file's 12.9 mb and is being ran on my computer, so it shouldn't be a size issue. To run the video originally, I had to download this codec: http://www.techsmith.com/download/codecs.asp Any ideas? I've been using Visual Studio 2005 to create a website, and my embedded videos will not play. They play fine when I start the website through VS 2005, but if I just open the files through IE, they videos don't start. VS shows the site through IE as well, so I'm not sure what the problem could be.
