HTML - Simple Start Page In Html With Embedded Flash Intro
Similar TutorialsHey guys, Ive seen this done a few times but, how would I go about having a random flash video intro page. i.e. Everytime the user refreshes the page a different flash movie appears (chosen randomly from a folder). I have a flash website that is a little heavy (loads a little slow) so basically my idea is to create a flash intro that is light and might load fast on top of my current flash site..so that the flash intro plays while the site itself loads behind it. and then the flash intro would be done playing and disappear and will expose the main flash site behind it. I don't want to do a separate page for intro and main site though as it basically will give the same loading time. i want it to load together the main site behind at first then will be exposed after the flash intro is done. I was thinking of using z-index to put the flash intro on top white the site loads and put make the flash transparent after it's done playing.. but my i think if i do that the main site behind would not be functional(clickable) because of the overlaying object (which is only transparent) is there a way that i can make the object totally disappear after it's done playing? not just making it transparent... or is there any other way to do this? actionscript? java? anything? curtain? container? how is it possible... please help... Thanks guys. Hi, I'm working on a very small but interesting project...I have 5 html pages that monitor several devices and my goal is to put all 5 pages on one index. Initially, I was thinking about creating an index page with fix tables and have one page.html per table. However, these pages are all running from different servers and they all have different names.html and different ip address. What will be the best way to tackle this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Is it posible to simple place each page link in a table and have it display the actual page on the index.html or do i need to copy source code for each page and paste into the tables? Or should I us frames? Please help. I embedded a .swf flash file on a page on my website. This flash plays perfectly on IE and Chrome, but nothing shows up on Safari or Firefox. I, at first, wrote the code by hand. Then I instead used swfobject to properly write the code (this still hasn't fixed the problem) I used the w3 markup validation site to check the code, and it comes back with 0 errors. Any Ideas? I hope someone can help me and new here so be kind Hi, I am a newbie and trying to develop a web site with HTML over IIS. I have inserted a flash (swf) object into the html code and am able to see the object displayed via IIS (right-click virtual directory and browse). However, it does not show if I try to access the same page via IE with http://localhost/Other. Only the text gets displayed. What could be the reason. Thanks. please help. i used html <object> tag and i embeded a .swf flash file inside my html page... everything worked great until here.... now i want to let the visitor of my page to be able to navigate through my .swf file through my own navigation bar buttons that i want to put above the .swf file... i want my visitor to be able to press the avigation bar buttons to play and stop and forward and backward and rewind and so on... i dont want my visitor to press the right mouse button when he over the flash object to navigate i want to have my own navigation static bar above the flash.... what solutions there is to this problem....? what is the best solution ? best regards. hi everyone this is my first page so i will probably have a couple of questions to help give me an idea of how to do that i want! basically someone has asked me to design them a site, i did a web design course but that was 6 months ago and i need to learn new things for it as well as try and remember what ive learned! ive got a semi basic layout, ill post the html and css, hopefully ill pate them in the right way (this definitely wont be the colour scheme, ive been following an online tutorial, want to get the layout right before making other tweaks) basically in the content section theyre looking for a rectangular box that has 4 imaes, 2 side by side and two below. these will change when theyre rolled over and when a particular image is clicked it will take them to the correct section of the site. as far as i understand from the css i have the size of the content section will change depending on how much information is there. how would i know what size to make the flash for insertion into this section so it fits properly without any gaps? sorry im a bit new to this but the more i learn the better! i dont have a clue how to actually code the flash yet but getting the size right would be a good start! thanks for your help HTML Code: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/master.css" />

I seem to remember creating simple webpages by writing minimal html code and opening either ( I think...) the text file with the browser or changing the text file to a .html file and opening that with a browser. This doesn't seem to work for me anymore... Has something happened with current browsers where they will not display the code as they once did for me? Now I want to create a very very simple backend cms for my client so that they can modify the content as well. Really, just simple html forms will be fine. What is the simplest way to modify xml data via html? Can I post data to the server in xml format? Help! So if you are starting a new page from scratch and don't really have a fixed idea in your head of a design do you just strt of with a template from DW(assuming you use DW). After that, adding a menu seems to progress things quite well, then working next on the footer also seems to work quite well. But it is so easy to get into a right mess with divs and tables here and there and no fixed goal as to what you are doing How do you guys do it??? Hi, i am developing an embedded webserver on a microcontroller to perform low level hardware monitoring. My webserver got the GET, HEAD and POST methods. I need to moniotor some inputs of the microcontroller. For now i am using a GET method to every 200ms to check its status and the server retreive the information of the inputs. Thats is consuming too much of my band as i have to constantly poll the line with GET. Is there any possibility to creeat a webpage where a webserver can update some data (without reloading the whole page) when the webserver wants and with no need of some request from the webpage? Inside the microcontroller side this is kind easy to perform with interruputs. But i dont know how to implement that on a WebPage. Thank you What is the first thing you do, do you do it from scratch in notepad or do you use a wysiwyg editor, or do you use a template? Is the first thing you do make a table of div for the header and work from there or do you draw out the design you want? |
