Hello!

Here are my thoughts anyway: http://enelesfilm.se/ovrigt/forum/example.gif Thanks for your help! Similar TutorialsHi peeps, I apologise if this is in the wrong section, if so, please move to appropriate category. I have a basic understanding of HTML coding and I am attempting to learn new skills and tricks to help me in my development. I am currently in the process of developing a new site for myself and on this site I will have a news page, which I update weekly with news from the industry. I was wondering what is the best way of going about new news articles (written by myself, not taken from external sources) and also how to automatically update the 'news' snippet on the homepage when I add a new news article? Any advice or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks I want to set up a news section on my website from my forums. Like I have an announcement section that I wanted to link to. How do I do that. Hi there. I currently use a news feed widget from BlastCasta.com on a website for a leading gymnast, however i notice sometimes the news feed covers stories about someone with the same name (ie, they are not relevent to the gymnast at all!) Is there any way at all of using something else/something better? I am completely ignorant when it comes to News feeds/widgets and how to implement them. Any advice would be fantastic. See the current news feed page at http://www.bethtweddle.com/news.html Ok so Im not sure what exactly what its called but I was wondering where I could get the code that would allow me to make my own news marque/feed/slideshow..thing An example of what Im talking about can be found on the yahoo.com main page...right in the middle of the page where it says TODAY How would I go about making one of those that I can put my own news articles in? Does is there an html gen for this? Thanks! Hello! I'm having some trouble designing a website in which I want to incorporate a news feed. Some examples of what I mean can be found at zerocommit.com bungie.net I would have no problem placing an Iframe, but I know that that won't work out when I want to update. Forgive my ignorace of the subject but I'm clueless. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've done a search on here, and have spent the last week or searching on google, I'm currently building a webpage up which integrates a forum, i want to put a feed on the home page of the site of the latest topics from the forum. The feed address is: feed://guitarprojectuk.forumotion.com/feed/ and the actual website address is: http://www.guitarprojectuk.com I've tried a few on google, and non seem to work, not sure wether its the feed or something i'm doing, so can somebody help me out? Thanks, Tom. I have a CD that has a slide show of a fashion show. How can I add this slide show to my web site so that by just clicking on a designated word the slide show will begin? Much appreciated, Jaymom I am trying to figure out how the user can click ANYWHERE on the webpage, and it will execute the 'Show Desktop' command (like in the quicklaunch -- for windows XP). The webpage will be used as the desktop background. I want the user to be able to click on the desktop background, and all other windows will become minimized. An onclick function perhaps, or something that executes "Windows key + M"? Please help, this is for my job lol I really hope someone can help me with this. About 2 months ago all my websites plummeted in the search engines. I found out later that i had a permalink structure problem which i solved by disabling a certain plugin. After that, i thought my rankings would have returned but unfortunately they didn't. With no clue as to where to go from there, i contemplated deleting my 5 websites and starting again from scratch. Then i noticed my keywords showing up in Google were messed up. All of my posts on all websites had the "website title" tacked onto the end of each post. Example: I have a post called "Natural Sleeping Remedies" When this post shows up in the search engines it looks like this... Natural Sleeping RemediesNatural Health Remedies As you can see, the title of my website homepage (Natural Health Remedies) is tacked onto the end of my post title. This happens with every post, on all websites. No matter how much i changed the post title, nothing helped. I thought that if i changed the theme, it would solve the problem. So, i tried theme after theme and finally came across one that worked. But, the big problem now is that i can only use one theme for all my sites which is just not appropriate for some sites. Every time i want to use a new theme, the homepage title always gets tacked onto every post, unless i use the same theme all the time. Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas how to fix this? At the moment all is fine because i use this one theme, but i really don't like it. P.S. I created another website last week and the same problem is always there. Is there a php file or html file that i can look at to determine what is happening. I'm a newb when it comes to this sort of stuff. Feeling dejected at the moment. Thanks in advance for any replies. Well, I am new to HTML and I would just like to say that I appreciate anyone who takes their time to busy themselves with my concerns. I have a simple problem that I am not sure how to fix. My problem is that in all the tables I create, the first row of the table (the titles) are all centered, but pushed a bit to the left. I use the the text align center and
tags and it works on everything except the table titles, which are centered, but a bit to the left. It is fairly noticeable and is extremely annoying. Can someone try helping me out? Thanks. -fenzo666 Sorry if i posted this in the wrong location. So im a real estate agent making a website. Im no pro and most of the stuff ive been using to build has been through layouts/generators/help of others such as yourselves. So ive been stuck on finding/making this code for the past couple of days. So all my listings are on my agencys website, not my personal agent website. Is there a code i could have where in the listings page my my personal agent website, i could have a window maybe 600x900 of the listing page on my agencys website? To kind of clear things up, you know how when you google something you have the magnifying glass, how it gives that preview. How can i have that preview coded onto a webpage, but me say what webpage to preview and how big to make the preview box? Tried to explain it as best i could. If you dont know the code, if you can tell me what its called so i can try to narrow the google searches. So far everything that has been coming up in the search restults has been preview boxes to preview html codes you have already written. Fail Blog Thanks Can somebody give me a code for close to the code on http://www.psp-hacks.com/ for news, and people leaving comments! Thanks in advance ps: my site is http://www1.webng.com/steer/index.htm and you see the background... I drew those two separator lines (they are not straight) is there any other way to do it? Here is the fresh background image How would I get a scrolling news bar in my webpage? I am extremely new, so please post code. Thanks Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I want to be able to generate a RSS news feed from my website with latest news etc, but I really haven't a clue where to start. Would anyone of the experts on this forum be able to advise me of where to start and what is the best way to go about it? I hope you can help. Thanks Simon a guy i know who runs a website had archieved news on his website without cutenews can someone please tell me the code for this...i cannot get my cutenews to work for some strange reason...thank alot everyone I am using this type of format for my rss feed:

Bestsellersworld.com

The latest book reviews for Bestsellersworld.com and Mysteries Galore

The 5th Horseman by James Patterson

It works fine but I was wonder if there is a way I could add an image cover to the feed and if so how do I do it? Ok here's the low-down - I'm trying to find a better way to post news items on a large intranet - currently we have to post the same news on twenty different servers, which drives me barmy. The big issues are we can only get client-side access (no asp, php etc) although on the upside all the users are IE6 - so in a way some things like data islands become available. So I was thinking we could have a central xml file that we could update and each page would be set to show certain categories or something. first of all is this possible at all?! And if so - any help/pointers would be appreciated! You'll see below where I've got to - so it's displaying the first news item dynamically so I guess there's two questions - one hopefully fairly easy and the second for a resident-genius type: 1) How can I get it to display the 'first five records' rather than just the first one - I know you can fudge it with tables, but I'm trying to keep it as proper as possible and I know tables aren't really the best for this sort of thing. 2) Is there any way I can add 'markers' to the xml file that are checked - ie so the xml file could have items like:

The title of this article
<markers> <political>Yes</political> <sport>No</sport> <technology>Yes</technology> </markers>
blah blah

This'd then let me specify an article as both political and technology and thus on the political and technology pages it'd appear if it was one of the five most recent valid articles, but not on the sport pages. Any ideas?! Code below if it helps... Page: Code:

All News

News 2

News 3

News 4

News 5

Retail News

News 1

News 2

News 3

News 4

News 5

<xml id="news" src="news.xml"></xml>

XML file: Code: <news> <newsitem>
General News 1
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 2
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 3
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 4
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 5
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 6
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> <newsitem>
General News 7
<intro>intro for the general news</intro>
</newsitem> </news> hi this is gafadi and i am new i am creating a news html website .. i need some help .. i need to know how organize my site .. how to save the news that i publish everyday .suppose i publish news today and after 1 year people go to the search option and easily find that news .. thanks hey guys I am having problems with my website ---> www.triplestarnews.com/main firefox and safari load the page fine but explorer messes up the window size of the leftmost table frame.
