HTML - Css Not Working With My Html Code/webpage
Hey everyone, I am new to HTML-CSS-etc. and I have a problem.
When I am building my page within Dreamweaver and preview it in my browser-my CSS dropdown menu works fine. Then I import everything(files/directories) onto my FTP server and make it go live on my site. When I make it live on my site, everything shows, except the CSS menu bars DO NOT drop down or do anything. I have a new website, shopcheesecakery.com, and I've written html code for years on forums, and as an ebay seller. I jsut can't figure out this new problem, though On the website, when I upload the index.html file through the ftp client, the page appears as raw code. I have pasted the info onto my ebay me page, and it works fine. Into several html practice pads online, it works fine. Into an ebay listing, it works fine. My hosting company says it's a problem with my code, but I just don't see how that can be, since it works elsewhere. They say they are unable to help, and sent me off with a "good luck!" HELP!!!!!!!!! I didn't make this on frontpage. I made this through notepad. my teacher asked me to make a web page for an organization on our school's website. the whole thing is basically a form. so far i've just made the basic page without any designing yet. i'm sure i did everything correctly except for the submit button. what i want is when you click the submit button, for the browser to automatically send some sort of email to the provided address. instead, it opens up outlook. i don't want that to happen. what should i do to fix this? i will copy and paste my source code here but i will hide the email address with "*'s" just for privacy. Best Mas For some wierd reason when I put in a table in my html and I format it so that the table tag is to the left, the tr tag is one indent to the right of the table tag and the td tag is one indent to the right of the tr tag and then I close all of them - when I put the closing TD tag on its own line it causes an extra space on the webpage itself. I just used Filezilla to change the index.html file of a website. What I did is paste my html into the document in textedit, saved it as html, then used filezilla to overwrite to old file in the site's directory. Now when I go to the site's index page, all I see is the markup from the file that I updated with. Why isn't it showing my design? Thanks a lot. Ideas? Thanks so much Dear I made an html newsletter with dreamweaver and I used the swap image behavior. I can view the result perfectly in explorer. Now I mailed it to my own mailbox (via explorer) and in outlook (and also in hotmail) the swap image effect doesn't appear.(the second photo is not shown) Is there a possibility to see this in my mailbox? I tried to paste the code into my outlook, but that doesn't work with the regular outlook, I only can view the source, not edit it. Thank you very much in advance! To kind of clear things up, you know how when you google something you have the magnifying glass, how it gives that preview. I have a blog on blogger and i want to make a c++ tutorial.. But every time i type "<iostream>" on post, when i see it, it is only "iostream". How can i make a code like the "[code]" from BBcode to cancel the compiling from HTML? Thanx! I'm stumped on this one. I've got code that runs fine in all browsers other than IE7. Here's the kicker, the page displays DIFFERENTLY every time I load it up in IE7. Sometimes it shows up correctly, sometimes the elements appear stacked. I've never heard of this happening, and the only variable I can think of was the order in which the elements loaded, so I built a pre-loader in to the index page, but still no luck. Elements load differently sometimes. Any help??
