HTML - How To Edit Existing Website On Cpanel??

Now then...

I host with Aventure who use cPanel.

I have created a passworded directory and have a number of users set up with usernames and passwords.. which is all very nice, but I can not find a way of adding Username and Password fields to a web page as oposed to clicking on a link which then brings up a seperate box to fill in (see www.strictly-smokin.co.uk).

Any clues?

I'd just like two fields for users to input their details without that box appearing...

Hello. I am creating a website, www.realhelp.am, and there are 3 languages, armenian, russian and english. In website, when I am opening it, everything is ok, but when i go to cpanel, and want to edit code, there aren't showing russian and armenian texts. Instead normal text,there are numbers, and each armenian or russian letter is for example this one "&#1390", or this one "&#1379" . Can you help me?how can they displayed as normal letters?

I'm trying to set up html links in a parent window that update content in the same child window(rather than opening successive new windows with each click).

Having the same target name in the anchor tag looks to be the easiest way to do this but it's not working in conjunction with a servlet mapping.

This works:

I'm working on a site for work and the links bottons on their pages are uneditable. I need to add some more links but do not know how. Any and all help is appreciated.

A family friend has asked me to take over the maintance of her existing sitre. The current layout is very poor. Files are haphazzardly put in folders and nothing makes sense.

Can someone suggest a tool that will let me donwload the entire site to my system and keep the same directory structure just so I can make a more understandable layout but lot lose any of the current content?

I am trying to help a friend with his website after his admin left. The site was set up years ago and was never finished. He had a simple web form that would send an email using the code below. The previous guy had the output going to himself and then he would fwd to the sites owner. Strange but not sure why. I just went in to edit the email address, but now I get a "The requested URL /_derived/nortbots.htm was not found on this server." after hitting submit.

I googled the error and the only thing I can find is that possibly the original page was created in Frontpage and after opening the file in Notepad++ the file lost some FP attribute.

Any ideas what I should try?

Hello all, I'm learning so much studying on a daily basis with html, that I have been making considerable progress, however, if you all could help me "lock" this div layer that I have off to the right of the page from moving that would be grand.

You see all I really want on the site is to have content in the middle move as I update and add to it. However when I subtract content or add more content in the middle div box. the right side box will move up or down depending on whether I have added or subtracted content.

If you visit http://www.trillionaireme.com that is how I want the site to show on all pages when a link is clicked, however when you click on the "How to Get Started" link http://www.trillionaireme.com/howtogetstarted.html, because I have less content in the middle the right div box moves up. I would like it locked and positioned just as it is displayed on the main page http://www.trillionaireme.com
