HTML - Html Problem - How To Post Sheet Music In Readable Format?

I'm trying to put sheet music into my webpage. However, whenever I add the notes via notepad, the outcome always looks like a complete mess. I want my website to play backround music when someone is browsing my site. I know the HTML code that allows the designer (me) to play a backround .wav audio BUT it does not quite do what I need it to do what I am looking for is a code that allows me to play a .mp3 in the backround AND I am having an incredibly difficult time figuring out how to prevent the song from starting over when a person on my site clicks another link. Simply put I want a .mp3 to be playing in the backround of my website no matter where the user browses on my website and most importantly I need to have the backround .mp3 to play conintousely like I stated earlier, I don't want it to start playing from the begining when a user clicks on a link on my site. I wan to place a link where people can click on it and listen to my music. So in the <body> I type in this : <a href="music/music_1.mp3" target="_blank">Song 1.</a>. It does play the music when the link was click, but it pops up a blank page with on the QT control bar in the middle. How can I make it not to pop up another page? or if it has to pop up something perhaps just a QT player rather the blank page. Thanks in advance. MacPC I am sort of new to web programming and used a free web template to design my homepage. In Dreamweaver it previews perfectly fine, and when I preview it in Safari it views fine. However, after uploading it to my server it shows up with an all white background, nothing is laid out correctly, text colors are incorrect. I assume this is because of the relationship between with html and the style.css sheet. I am using a seperate style sheet and it is in the same folder as my index. When i review the pages, IE shows them perfect without any formatting issues whereas when i see the pages in Firefox, it destroys the formatting. The tables and the forms would get big or small. My grandson is taking a web course and the teacher told him something about certain html END TAGS needing to be on a new line or separate line of source code. Can anyone tell me when or why an end tag would require it's own source code line? I connect to the server and get 3 files, 2 folders and one .asp file. the folders a Stats and _dp_backup. the last file is gdform.asp when i add my html file, my site does not change. NOTE: i wrote the html in notepad and saved it as mysite.html i think its not working because the file is not a proper html? maybe.. but when i open it, it shows what i've made in a web browser. For some wierd reason when I put in a table in my html and I format it so that the table tag is to the left, the tr tag is one indent to the right of the table tag and the td tag is one indent to the right of the tr tag and then I close all of them - when I put the closing TD tag on its own line it causes an extra space on the webpage itself. Can you give me some suggestions. thanks Purushoth This is perhaps not the most suitable for this question, but I have been given two html files that are saved 'reports' produced from a company system. Before anyone suggests it, they cannot be re-produced for me in a different form. The files are 75Mb each!! Very large html files. I have been asked if I can convert the rendered html view of the files (so not the html source code) to another form, for example RTF or PDF, or any form that is suitable. Other than www.htmltortf.com and opening the files in Office and exporting them, can anyone suggest any way to do this (Office cannot handle the file size, and HTMLtoRTF requires payment for the full version). Thanks Ted Ok, I'm working on a website and I need to put in a text field where someone can effectively leave "updates" and little notes. The site will be saved on a network and used by multiple computers so I'm hoping it can be done without have to make multiple CSS files. So far so good. Essentially I want one computer to be able to type in text and close the window. Then I want to be able to open it up on another computer and still see that text. So far all that's happened is the text resets to a blank field after it's closed, which I expected, I just don't know how to fix it lol I'm using IE and not Firefox.
