HTML - Border For Thumbnail Photo?

Hi guys.

I'm not very familiar with HTML at all, but I have just created a new blog on blogspot.

I created a new "page" to make a gallery and I wanted to add my gallery as a simple HTML thumbnail thingie.

I mean lots of thumbnails with a short description below the picture that allowed me to write like "Photoshoot 5/1-2012" or something like that.

I made this code to make a thumbnail that when you click on it, the picture gets the original size, but would it be possible just by HTML coding to make the thumbnail go into a slideshow of pictures from that shoot without making it go to an external page?

If anyone got another idea that would work for me I'd love it. I don't know if I'm allowed to post my page but it's kenmoe . blogspot . com, I can delete it if it's not allowed, but it's a sub page next to "Blog" where I'd love a gallery that still looks nice and keeps the user on my page.

I am making a squad list for my football team and i have created a table containing all the information; squad number, name , position etc. In the last column i want to have it so there is a blank field or a field with a ver small thumbnail in and when the cursor hovers over this an image appears, but only whilst the cursor is over that small part. hope this make sense

I have a thumbnail jpg on my main page and would like to display the full size jpg on a separate page when the thumbnail is clicked. I know, a total newbie thing, but you know how to do it and I don't! A simple example would be much appreciated.

trying to figure out the easiest way to work through a gallery of my photos. i want it to be very similar in the way that you click next/previous on this site:

and how the next image comes in. looking at the source code, it's pretty frightening for me as a beginner. any tips of how this is done?

mine's going to be similar but probably with an .gif of a negative with arrows in it. each arrow will be sliced and assigned the next/previous thing. any ideas??

Let me set up what my site looks like first, then I'll delve into the question. My site has frames, top frame, left frame, and a main frame. The left frame contains numerous thumbnail images that I want the user to click on and get a larger version of said image inside the main frame. The problem I'm having is I have to create a separate html page for each (larger)image (and it has become incredibly tedious), instead of just having a main.html with some sort of way of opening multiple (not more then one image at a time, but have an image replace the previous one when a new thumbnail is clicked) images inside of it. How can I do this? Would I use a div or what? I'm just learning so any help would be great. If I haven't explained well enough, I'll be happy to restate the question if you wish. Please help ! )

I have designed my band's myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/blindthecarrier) with custom header's and title blocks. About and members are currently the only sections with title blocks, but I would like to add a new html box with my top friends in it and remove the default friends box. I viewed the source code and now have everything working except the friend thumbnail pictures.

Any ideas on how to retrieve profile picture thumbnails from someones profile?

I have just finished the layout of my football team's website, and now I have ran into a problem. Just as I was about to post some pictures, I realised that a page with a bunch op pictures on it doesnt look very nice. So I set out to find some sort of photo album tool that i could use to put into my code. Unfortunatly, all i could find was a program called jalbum. It seemed perfect except for one problem, it creates it's own entire webpage -.-

I dont care how it works, it just needs to be flexible, becasue I have to be able to upload new pictures daily, otherwise I would have just made one in flash.

Hi forum.

I am a relative newcomer to website creation so please forgive me if I'm not up to speed.

I want to try and develope a system where customers can upload photos onto my site, and the photos go to my email inbox or sit somewhere privately on the server. Is it as simple as writing html to make it happen or do i need to apply software and get permission from my web server? The photos would need to be full size. Would they need to be compressed? (perhaps 3mb size). Is there software that can do this?

Any help and ideas will be gratefully appreciated!

Hi! I'm very new to HTML / CSS, (like, a total of 16 hours experience), and I am trying to make a website.

I was wondering how to create a low maintenance Photo Gallery section. I need something that will have multiple galleries to choose from, and when chosen, the user can flip / scroll through the images. The reason I say 'low maintenance' is because when updating these galleries, each new photo set could be upwards of 50-100 photo's, and coding those in individually would get rather annoying. Is there a better way?

So on my blog, which is on wordpress.com.

I like the theme and most of it I think worked out decently, but I ran into a problem.

So I have a page where it's a collage of portraits of people and I simply code it with a <a ref= ...> and I align it left and I just repeat that so each photo gets put right where the last one left off.

The problem with it is now that I have over 200 photos on it, it loads REALLY slow.

I was wondering if there was a way to code it so the resolution on each picture doesn't reload everytime you zoom in and out on your browser.

I do want to keep it so that if you click on a photo, it goes to the individual picture (which is hosted on photobucket).

Is there a way to do this? Because the scrolling up and down has become really slow and choppy on this page.

I want to make a gallery. What is the best way to do this? I've heard of something called coppermine, but I don't quite understand it.. Is there someone willing to help me, and to explain properly step by step how to make a photo gallery the best way?

Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent HTML code for a photo gallery, Im getting fed up with people not being able to open my falsh ones so im going back to basics. I want something that wont need loads of changes each month, something that will require little set up, Iv about 30 photos each weeke i need to put up online...

any ideas?
