HTML - Login In A Page With A User/password Directly From An Http Address?
Is this possible? I remember seeing this somewhere but I don't really remember how to place the info in the address.
Is it something like http://test.com@username:password ? Thanks! Similar TutorialsIs there a way to automatically login to a website that requires http authentication? I am especially talking about an image that has a src field that contains a protected image. In some browsers, for example, this works: Code: <img src="http://username:password@website.com/image.jpg"> But, this inclusion of the username/password isn't supported by all browsers I've tested it on, nor is it standard. Is there any way to do this in html or javascript? Thanks so much! Hello; I have text box & submit button in page_1 & I have text box & submit button in page_2. I want when write text in text box in page_1 it go directly to text box in page_2 & I want when click on submit button in page_1 it is like click on submit button in page_2. Assume page_2 located in other site www.page_2.com. How to do that.?? Hello, I am a beginner at HTML. I am new to this forum so I am sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. I'm trying to create a website that consists of a name and message input, and after you click send message, it sends it instantly to the current page under this input. So far I have this for my form: Code: <form method="post" action="" > <textarea cols="25" rows="1">Name</textarea> <br> <textarea cols="200" rows="10">Message</textarea> <br> <input type="file" /> <br> <input type="submit" value="Send Message" /> </form> How can I edit this code so that when one sends a message, it appears directly under this form and will place above any previously made messages, so that basically the most recent message appears at top. This is much like facebook messaging, when you send the message it appears above the message box and appears instantly. Thanks for the help. Now then... I host with Aventure who use cPanel. I have created a passworded directory and have a number of users set up with usernames and passwords.. which is all very nice, but I can not find a way of adding Username and Password fields to a web page as oposed to clicking on a link which then brings up a seperate box to fill in (see www.strictly-smokin.co.uk). Any clues? I'd just like two fields for users to input their details without that box appearing... Cheers, mmiicchhaaeelll Hi, I'm new here. I run a filming of a local sports group and noticed a lot of people were able to help themselves to the feed. I would love it to have the person log in and if the same loin combo was entered again that both sessions terminate. How would I go about this. I am using dreamweaver to build the site. Thank you in advance Greg Hey, I'm a bit of a newbie at this, and I have a question for the experts.... I want to set up a textbox within a page that will act as an address bar. Basically, I want to be able to enter a web address into the textbox, and have the page open in another frame. I have a page with 2 frames right now - one containing the textbox, the other that will be the main browsing window. Do I need some CGI script to pull this off? Is there some way that I can restore the text entered in the box into the action= of the form? Thanks in advance for the replies. Hi everyone, This may seem a simple question but here goes... I have two separate domain names, both with different hosting companies. I have uploaded exactly the same page to both servers, but one requires .html after it to view it, and the other doesn't. For example www.########.com/#### www.########.com/####.html Do you know how to change it so it doesn't require the .html at the end to view it? Thanks Tom Hi everyone, I'm new to this form and html I have a login portal, I want users to accept and click on the terms and conditions tick-box before he/she can click on the "Login" button. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tony I am having issues with a flash intro and decided to try and just place it on a separate page when visiting my father's website - www.raymorteam.com. So I took all of the code currently on his homepage and created a copy of the page - http://www.raymorteam.com/files/35241/Main_Page.html However, I only want the copy page to show www.raymorteam.com in the addressbar. How do I go about doing this? I've seen it at www.ch131.com. Take a look at that page - any link you click will only show the parent web address in the address bar. I want my father's page to do that for this specific page. Thanks. hi all, am new here, please bear with me! I really hope you can help me out. I know I'm cheating by using FrontPage to develop my site and I want to take the time to really get into and understand the underlying HTML, but unfortuantely, I just needed to get my site up and running. My question is, can I just insert some code into my HTML that will prompt for a password in order to display certain pages of my site? Really, I only need one password that I will give to everyone who uses the site, so I don't believe it has to be really difficult. I would obviously, also want to display a message if they enter an invalid passowrd. Thanks for any help you can give me! BTW, I meant PROTECTING, not PROTESTING!!! lol Hello, My friend has a blog through blogger that she wants to be kept private, but doesn't want to have to make her friends who want to read her blog make an account through blogger just to view it. So she bought a domain name and has them connected. She wants her friends to be able to go to her domain name, have them enter a username and password that they all already know, and then be taken to her blog. I figured out most of the password stuff, just a code that you put into your html that encrypts your password... but what I don't get, is if you just put in the address of her blog, your not promted to enter a password and you can automatically read it... is there any way of getting around that? If she ended up not using her blog anymore, and just was creating html pages, is there any code that she could put in the html code to encrypt each page and require a password so people couldn't get to the "page that wants to be hidden" by just entering the url? Thanks so much!! Hey guys, im looking for an HTML or java script that will allow me to have a page that cannot be viewed unless you type in a password. Reason being is i wish to have a separate page with a chat box and web cam function which can only be used by staff members for online meetings rather than having to travel to meet up. Also it would serve as a page with chat just to sit and chill. Basically im needing a button (which i can make) "staff members only" which will be located on the main website and once clicked i would like it to open up a new page which has the password form or button that opens a password box. I would like to set the password my self and only have one password and be able to change it when i feel its needed. once the password is typed in and is correct i would then like it to open up the page where the chat box is.i have searched high and low for a form like this, i have found several but once the password is typed in and is correct they will only load a file and not redirect you to a website page. Any help is welcomed |
