HTML - Layout Help Wanted!
Hey all, I need some help with the lay-out of a site I'm making.
I have 3 images: left.jpg fill.jpg right.jpg I need to make a website that fills the entire width of the screen. left.jpg always needs to stay on the left side of the screen. right.jpg always needs to stay on the right side of the screen (regardless of screen width). and fill.jpg is a 1 pixel wide image that should either stretch between them or repeat itself to fill the space between the other two images. So when the user resizes the window the right image stays right and the middle image adjusts to fill the entire space between left.jpg and right.jpg. I've tried a lot so far using tables and divs but non have worked for me so far. Could someone provide me with a working example? Thanks in advance Similar TutorialsI need help with a table and tr... I have 3 rows in a table. The first 2 contain the same td(s) - 4 of them. I'd like to have a 3rd row that contains 9 td elements visible. How can I accomplish that? Is it possible to make the third rows td elements independent of the first one (since it follows the layout of the first rows td lengths)? Hello everyone. Our studio engage in home webcam Yahoo Messenger show. We are looking for webmaster, who can make small site for transmitting this show. We have only 3 girls. Hello guys, First, I am glad to be a member of this forum. Can I have links to good HTML e-books? Books in pdf format shall be appreciable. Thank you very much, Regards, Kishore I am going to do my first website, and I need headings at the top of the page with , Home, Products, Services and Contact headings at the top but I need them to be inside a rectangular tab with round edges. So I need help in information on whether I have to format or style the headings with css eg. h1.one font-family etc etc. and then on the header <h1 class="one"> etc etc. I might be wrong but is there way I can get the headers I want to be round edged? I am new to html so my answer might have been totally wrong just using my own assumptions. Thanks for help and if someone has ideas for other type of header styles I could use I will appreciate the info. Please post .php banner rotation script to easy paste into website footer to handle ten or so banners thanks Urgent On my main page www.virtualhunterston.eu.org I have 3 images under the featured image section. I can quite easily find a script that will allow me to randomize the image, but I cannot find a script that will allow the image to be random and also have words below. Example. On the link above I have Castle Gate as a featured Image. How can I have it as random image and it changes the name below it as well? say i was to have Avenue Gate I would want the image for that gate but also to say Avenue gate below it. Hope that made sense?, and that anyone can advise. All the books I've seen are targeted at either newbies, experienced, or expert users. All I want is a reference that shows all the tags and all the formatting options. For example: Table <table></table> Table options <table style class height width border colspacing padding> Table row <tr></tr> Table row options <tr ..... > Table data <td></td> Table data options <td ..... > See? For every avaliable tag. I just need a reference, not code, nor how to's. Just a reference to the tags and parms they can take. If you know of a book title that covers this, please indicate. Thanks! I want the maximize square to work with a new window pop-up but it is not. I been trying all sorts of options without luck. The minimize button works the close but not the maximize square. Is there any way this button can work? I am openning the new with "_self" option. This is by code now. javascript:window.open('http://www.tstonebeta.org/staff.html','','maximize,width=600,height=600,scrollbars=1,resizeable=1,status=1,toolbar=yes');void( 0) Thanks for any suggestions. Russ Hi everybody! I'm new to the community, and I need a little help. ^.^ General Version: I am making a form and I want the submit button the be grayed out until you tick the "I agree to the ToS" Checkbox, but I also want to make sure that it turns grayed out again once you un-check it again. My Specific Version: Here is my site I will use it for: http://www.projectflyffinnovation.com/php. Currently I am using some Javascript to make the link un-gray it, but I want to remove the link and make the checkbox above it do what the link does, and will uncheck it when deselected If you want the source I am using, just go to the site and click view source. I would really appreciate some help! I'm working on a site for a friend, I have only ever used basic html to code my own sites, due to this I'm having problems with the layout my friend wants. I've created it with frames, not live yet but you can view it he http://www.ladin.co.uk/Jim/index2.html The layout with color either side and content in middle is how he wants it but obviously without frames, I'm not very knowledgeable where CSS is concerned so haven't a clue how to code it, thanks in advance. Are there in depth tutorials on making a Div layout? Tables are making way more sense. How do you make a div float to the right of something without having it move to the bottom when a page is shrinked? How do you make a div take up space within a div that not taken out? Like in a div. 80%, inside that div is a 100px div, then have another div inside the 80% div that uses the rest of the space? and how do you fix this? http://vertion.fused.ws/div.html |
