HTML - Make Ie And Other Browsers Display The Content The Same.
I'm having trouble making IE display the content the same in other browsers the same.
Like google chrome and firefox. Do I have to use css for this. Here is my website address: http://www.con10th.com Similar TutorialsHello all, This is my first post to this forum. I hope somebody can help me with the two problems I am having because I have tried to solve them for hours and have not gotten anywhere. I just don't have enough knowledge so your help would be appreciated. Here is the link to a demonstration page I created: http://sikhfaith.com/demo/ In Firefox 2.0, the huge header picture is displayed flush with the top of the page, as I want it to be. Yet in IE 7.0, there is a small white gap above the header. I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it in IE so that the display is consistent between browsers. Second, in IE 7.0, you can see the menu bar I created which is flush with the bottom of the header picture as I intended. Yet in Firefox 2.0, this menu bar is hidden BEHIND the header picture. It displays correctly in Chrome and Safari, but IE and Firefox add weird borders around my pictures and throw off my alignment. What causes this and how do I fix it? Hi guys I have a pic in my templates folder with the html document in the the same folder. I have always used iframes for my content before and this is my first try at not using them. When I enter content more than 1 table starts growing and it distorts all my images. Kyle I have a lot of content on a page, and it is being added to every day. Because of the constant adding, the page becomes longer & longer. Instead of this happening, is there a script I could use that would make the content AUTOMATICALLY move to a new page when neccessary? Example: Page 1 can only have 30 tables. Someone adds 5 more tables to page one- CAUSING the older tables to be moved to another page. I can make the pages(page 1, page 2, page 3) beforehand, but is there a script that will let the content automatically go from page 1 to page 2 when page 1 is overflowing? I wish to produce a website which works in the following way: The header and footer remain the same, and do not reload on page refresh. Then, links on a menu bar stimulate loading a new page, however only the content below the header changes. An example of this, is the CushyCMS website (http://www.cushycms.com). When you click the menu links, the header doesn't reload, only the page content does. How would I do this? My reason for wanting this method, is because I wish to have an image slider present within the header of all of my pages, and I don't wish to have to update every page each time I wish to add an image. I am making a template for my site, and i really need my title image to display at the very top of the page, so the top of the image touches the bottom of the tool bar of the browser. This is currently what my page looks like www.skyhigh3d.com/testpage.html I would like the top of the black image to touch the top of the browser, so there is no background visable above the image. The image and navbar are in a table, so really i need to table to be at the very top. Example: <table> ... </table> <table> ... </table> When you want the tables to be placed next to each other, you need to set the align attribute. Example: <table align="left"> ... </table> <table align="left"> ... </table> BUT: When you do it like in the 2nd example (tables next to each other), in Firefox, the tables will wrap to a new line if there is no more space. In Internet Explorer, the tables will not wrap. The result is a horizontal scrollbar or "hidden tables". Why this? How can I make the tables wrap also in Internet Explorer as it does in Firefox?
