HTML - Individual Scroll Bars In A Single Page
Hi All ,
In my page, it has two div, one on the left side to do navigation stuff and the right one to display contents of page. How can I create a scroll bar just on the right div so that when it scroll, the div on the left side wont move. REgards Similar Tutorialshow do you make an inline fame that does not have scroll bars but resizes the parent page to allow the whole child page to fit in the parent How can I fixed the size of the page to desired width and length and also make that page fixed to that size so that it cannot resized. And also I want to disable all bars(scrollbars, menubars, address bars etc) for the page. I am using these codes for my projects and these are for commercial purpose. I am also asking for your permission to use these codes for my projects. lookin 4wrd. Is there a way to customize those ugly default scroll bars? as they take up quite alot of space when you use them just for a div (with overflow: auto; in the css). So I was wondering if I could possibly make them smaller? (with cross browser support of course) How do i change the color? and "Style" i guess. I have seen it alot, i have been going through alot of source code, but i havent found it yet. I do have a css for my website so if it goes in there, let me know also. I've been working on this for nearly 3 hours and just can't figure out what is wrong. the page works great in firefox, chrome, but in IE 7 it does not like me at all. Long story short, I'm in the process of a making a file explorer, like windows explorer with cgi scripts in python and html code. My one script shows a list of directories and files one next to the other, like this: The problem is, when there are lots of files and directories, it doesn't move the objects that go past the window to the next line, it just creates a scrollbar. So my question is, how can I make it move the objects to the next line and remove the horizontal scrollbar? Does anyone know what CSS/HTML I need to use so scroll bars are disabled across all the main browsers? I.e. FF2, FF3, IE6, IE7, Safari.... For example Discuz! forum system has this function. While you browse hundreds or thousands of posts separated into pages, the horizontal scroll can take you to previous page or next page.(not browser back/forward) How do I code like that? Or any examples? I believe in thread titles that get to the point. I have a basic page, when the page loads I want people to see the top of the page for a few seconds while a flash starts to load but then I want the page to scroll down a bit so the visitor can see the flash load progress status. I am trying to set up a webpage for our school that will allow students to view egg hatchings going on in all their classrooms. Im doing this through the use of webcams. I see this done many times on many websites (especially comic websites) where an image has a forwards and backwards arrow button, and images selected correspondingly. Ideally I want the [img src="images/001.jpg"] file name to increase by one each time. So all I have to do is add more images in ever increasing filenames to the images folder, 002.jpg, 003.jpg etc. How do I add one to a filename and then refresh the page? Can I do this in XHTML ? Many thanks. Hi Guys, I have a simple question, I havent done any web/html stuff for a long time, ive totally forgotton how to do everything. At the moment im working on a small project, I was thinking of running it off a database but I think its way to complicated even for that as all I need is a single html page that populates with information that I have when certain inormation is entered. Basically its a contact list, name, number, ID, landline fax number etc. I have a list of about 400 names which I want to be searched by a ID and state, so for example, theres 2 data entry boxes, one is a drop down box of states and the next is a text entry field where you enter the ID (3 digits) once selected, it populates another text field with the information. I want all the info to remain on a single page, or maybe the info on another page and displayed on the main page when the propriate ID number is entered. Id prefer it this way as I can easily edit the page with text. I dont think a database is appropriate, as I need to run this locally. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get this done? Id appreciate any help. Thanks alot Hello, I am trying to hose just a single splash page with a background image, a logo & a couple of links. I only need this free/cheap hosting for 1-2 months. Any ideas who would work for this? I'd prefer free. There may be a lot of traffic at some point to the splash page, but the only thing they will be able to do from that page is email or go to the myspace page. So I dont think I need a lot of disc space, but not sure how the bandwidth will be used since there techincally isnt anything there but a logo and a couple of links? No nudity will be on this particular splash page, so I assume I can host the file(s) any where.
