I have a frame dividing my screen into two sections, a top window and a bottom window. I can scroll down my table and the header stays put. My problem comes when I open my table in a window that is too narrow to display the full width of the table. A horizontal scroll bar properly appears at the bottom of the page so I can move left or right to view individual columns in the table. However, I would like to lock the header, top window, so that as I scroll horizontally with the horizontal scroll bar, the header moves left and right with the body, no separate horizontal scroll bar needed for the header. Is this possible? Or am I breaking some sort of law of physics? Any help appreciated. I thought I had cracked this nut a couple of years ago but can't find the file. Charlie Hey. My boss has asked me to make a sort of...main user page. The employees will log in to this 'main page' (did this using php) and then they can get access to their time sheets, expense sheets and other things. Im just wondering the best way to do a lay out is.. I need to have the company logo in the top. and then I was thinking a bar just under that with all the different options. then underneath that will appear all the info. Say they pic time sheet, it would appear underneath. I was reading on w3, and I was reading about frames...but when I go to use them phpDesigner v6.2.3, i just get red underlined syntax errors, which leads me to believe they arent correct to use anymore (granted they do get the job done when i preview my page ) If you can tell me what I should research up on, that would be great. I have only been using html, php, javascript, swl for about 3 weeks, so Im no pro by any means oh, by the way, i am using Code: <frameset rows="13%,87%"> that syntax Thanks, Paul Oye, I am trying to complete this teeny photo album I've been working on ... and I just about completed .. when I tested the Site in various browsers (mozilla, Explorer 8, Safari, Google Chrome) ... i noticed one of the frames is not showing in Google Chrome. How odd? here is the site: xxx There are three teeny shaded squares in a frame that is designated a height of 70 pixels and a width of i believe 100% ... it is visible on Mozilla, Explorer, Safari ... any ideas? is my source code screwy? What I would like to do is take the data the inline frame is displaying and copy it to the clipboard using a button. Below are links to the images and the code I am using... -WinUser2003 Normally when I add a background image to a frame the image repeats itself in a tiled fashion, you know what I mean. Is there any way to change this so it only shows the background image once. I don't want tiled. Thanks!! Arc. I would like to open the file in Firefox and view this as it would appear as a web page. How would this be done? I have tried opening it as an html file, but the text only appears as the source code. Hi, I'll go straight to the point. my problem is that I need a text box to have a scroll bar and a fixed size, preferably in a "div" layer. On a more complicated note, I would really like my website not to refresh itself when you click on a menu button. The changing information should be all in the same layer. And, last but not least, and even more complicated, Is there any methods to keep the website updating from being super complicated, as in "I write stuff in any program or text box, and this text goes in that box", Blog or loggin style. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. I am trying to get the copyright symbol into my web pages. It works fine in the HTML program but in firefox it becomes a '?' and in ie it becomes a square. The method I tried was using '©'. Can anyone help me out? Hi, When writing something on the internet, say a paragraph that has a URL in the middle of the paragraph, can the URL be hidden until someone clicks on it? How does one do that.
